It's been a few weeks since I first came to Paris. The paper work is now done I'm officially apart of the Dupain-Cheng family. My work with my Kwamii and my own powers is going quite well. Even school is going well now that Chloe has been knocked down a few pegs, man is that girl annoying. But right now I was burning some incense and meditating since it had been a while since I'd last done so.
Uncle Wu had sent me what he could procure of my things from the guys including my sword, starfeaer comics, and my gi's throughout the years. Mari had fun with that one asking to wear my first gi that I'd ever wore. But back to meditating, it wasn't going that well since Mari was babysitting Manon the kids of a family friend. Yes I like kids and all, but boy was Manon loud. Seeing how I wouldn't be getting any meditating done I put the incense out and went to the living room. I found Mari chasing Manon around the living room. "Manon please give me that hat back" Mari pleaded.
"No I wanna be a fashion designer to" Manon said in defiance
I watched the two of them. "Wow if your sister can watch her for the afternoon she'll be better than Ladybug" Gong said
"Agreed" I laughed
That is till Manon took my Jacket from my hands and started playing superhero with it. Was I that bad before the tomorrows tea? "Manon" I said chasing after her to get my jacket and the hat Mari was working on back from her
The doorbell rang and while I was chasing Manon for my Jacket Mari opened it. "Alya" Mari said
"Hey Alya" I said
"Hey you two" Alya said
The two started to have Girl talk which got Manon curious causing her to drop my jacket and the hat. This time to keep it out of reach I put the hat on the fridge and my jacket on and zipped it up a ways. "Who's this?" Alya asked
"This is Manon one of mom's friends daughters I'm looking after her all afternoon" Mari said
"Let me guess another thing you couldn't say no to" Alya asked hitting it right on the mark
"No I just couldn't ... say no" Mari groaned
"Look go do your girl thing and I'll watch her for you" I said
"No Lloyd I couldn't do that to besides she's... an absolute angel" Mari said pausing only once
Only to have Manon run off again and cause havoc in the kitchen. It was like Mari was the grounds keeper and Manon was the gopher from Cadyshack. Yes I watched the movie a few times since it was airing on tv a few times okay.
"Your just a pushover Marinette" Alya said,"I have to babysit my sisters all the time which makes me an expert on angels"
"Who are you anyway?" Manon rudely asked
"I am a magical unicorn from the world of Rispa disguised as a totally fabulous human girl. I grant magical wishes, but only to little monkeies that behave"Alya said in a playful manner
"No your not" Manon laughed before she had a look of confusion in her eyes,"Are you"
Alya then picked up Manon flew her around the room before placing her on Mari's shoulders and put her hands on her legs. "Let's head to the park" Alya said
"I'll tag along just in case" I said grabbing my phone and wallet heading out the door with them call it a haunch.
We got to the park in record time and then I spotted the reason why we came to the park specifically, Adrien. Mari has a huge crush on him. I sighed in annoyance as Mari went into Adrien la la land. I went and grabbed myself an ice cream cone and sat down in the shade. I waved to Adrien as I passed his photo shoot, glad I'm not doing those anymore man were they annoying.
I brought up a book I was reading on my phone The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher I was currently working on the book Grave Peril, the third book. Sue me I happen to love fantasy and adventure stories. I then heard a scream just when I was getting to a good part and looked up to see a girl hovering above the Merry-go-round before encasing it in solid ice. I ran to t because Alya and Manon were trapped inside. I felt the ice and saw that it was friendly for now. I activated my powers only to get blasted by the girl that caused this. I got a better look at her.
Wow was my only comment. I glared at her before calling the power back to my hands and throwing it at her which caused her to fly away from me. "You can't do this as Lloyd you need to be Drakon" Gong told me
I looked at Alya and Manon. "Get help" Alya told me through the ice
I could only nod then run off in a random direction. "Ready?" Gong asked
"You bet cause right now Alya and Manon need our help. Gong let's Roar" I said and in an instant I was Drakon again. But when I got to the Merry-go-round again Ladybug had pulled me aside. "We need to help Chat even with your ice powers we won't be able to break it, Drakon. We need to defeat the Akuma first to set them free" Ladybug said
"But" I started to say
"Trust me they'll be fine"Ladybug said and I looked at them and Alya gave me a thumbs up
I nodded and followed her towards Chat. Who had just landed thanks to our villain Stormy Weather. "I thought Cat's always landed on their feet? "Ladybug asked giving Chat a hand up
"Why thanks my ladybug but I had it covered"Chat said going to kiss Ladybugs hand
"Alright enough of your soap Opera romance you two" I said seperating the two of them from one another
"Thank you Drakon" Ladybug said
"We should be expecting lightning storms like right now" Stormy said
Lightning started to crash all around us and Ladybug pulled Chat out of the way which sent them both rolling away slightly. Chat in the end was on top of Ladybug grinning like a madman.
Once Chat had gotten off of Ladybug he ran Stormy,"You just won yourself a cat fight"Chat growled
"Black ice" She said freezing the ground over before activating her wind powers on us.
I slammed my staff hard enough into the ice so that way I didn't fly away. Once she was done she started to float away. " A little Chat Noir will take the wind from her sails" Chat said about to go after her till I once again grabbed his tail
This isn't going to become an on going thing with him right? "Easy there Chat you better think before you leap "I said
"You got a plan" Chat asked rubbing his tail
"Just follow my lead" Ladybug said
She ran across the faces of the buildings on the right and Chat took the left that meant that the street was mine. I grabbed one of my knives so that way I was ready to throw it. They both jumped from their points of attack and I jumped up to get a vantage point.
Sadly before we could attack stormy saw us,"Not you again" She complained before sending another gust of wind our way blowing the three of us and several cars ten city blocks away from her.
So once we landed it became a game of dodge a car which involved several taxi's, a few vans, and a bus. Yea not fun to say the least.Once we got out of that mess we tried to see what could have set her off so badly. "Maybe unresolved anger issues?" Ladybug said
"Or she failed her drivers test" Chat added
"Or shes a failed Weatherman?" I put in since her powers are related to the weather.
We ran past a screen to see stormy show up on it. "Hello viewers! Here's the latest forecast for the first day of summer. Looks like mother nature had a change in plans summer vacation is officially over!"Stormy weather said
"Already but I look so good in a bathing suit" Chat said
"Don't cats hate water? Besides not an image I needed" I told Chat
"Well at least now we know where to find her" Ladybug said as it started snowing
We started to run towards the KIDZ+ news station. We reached the news station within twenty minutes thanks to our powers or else it would have taken us an hour to get here thanks to the starting blizzard. We entered the building lobby to see a cardboard cutout of a blonde girl with pigtails and a puffy powder blue dress. I saw stormy on the screen and compared the two. "Dang so much for me being right" Chat said
"Chat both you and I where both wrong. Drakon excellent deduction skills" Ladybug said
"Thanks I've been reading a bunch of mystery and magic mystery lately" I said, "But the Akuma has to in her parasol"
"I'll bet anything that your right again" Ladybug said
We ran to only find that one room was airing the forecast. "Ladybug Chat and I will kick open this door get ready to move if need be" I told her
"On it" Ladybug said
Chat and I kicked open the doors running in with Ladybug right behind us only to find that this entire time Stormy's broadcast was actually a recording. I quickly turned around to see Stormy Weather right behind us. Oh boy, things like this never end well.
She sent a bolt of lightning at some of the lights causing them to break off and fall. This was followed by a black out in the entire building. "Frosty the snow girl is getting away"Chat said
"Then we follow" Chat get ladybug and I'll follow" I told him
"On it Drakon" Chat said
Chat has it easy since he's a cat he can see in the dark, Me though I have to open up my senses since dragons like well lit caves that let in a lot of sun or moon light. Why though since it is contradictory to Tolkien's Smaug though is beyond me. I raced behind the two towards a staircase which we traveled up a few floors. "Okay that's enough I think I can" Ladybug started to say before something was thrown our way
"DUCK!" Chat said
"Follow your lead on this one" Ladybug said
Chat opened a door that lead to the roof causing the outside light to come in allowing me to see normally again. Stormy Weather was floating just above the roof our of our reach. "You fell for my trap parties over fools" Stormy said
"Really cause it was just getting started" I returned
"Lucky Charm" Ladybug said
"Don't forget we took a few beatings back there so Dragon's Blessing" I said healing and restoring the six of us yes my power extends to our kwamii's since they feel that damage we take as well. "Thanks Drakon" Ladybug said
Ladybugs Charm had given us a bath towel. "Great so we are about to be obliterated but at least we'll be dry" Chat said
"Hail" Stormy said
Sure enough chunks of ice rained from the sky. I was pulled into a crouching position under Chat by Ladybug. Chat was twirling his baton around us really fast to block the hail from reaching us. "So what's the plan for getting the akuma my arm's starting to get a cramp" Chat said
"Then we'll switch "I said readying my baton Chat and I then very quickly changed places while Ladybug tried to strategize.
"Chat see that sign over there check it out" Ladybug said
"On it Cataclysm" Chat said running over to the sign on the far right and with his power destroyed the base of the sign.
Luckily the hail had stopped."Drakon the air vent" Ladybug said
"All over it" I said
I knocked the air vent shaft over causing the crane that was on top of the building to move as well. The sign fell and I had to get out of the way since Ladybugs next action would be to use the air to give her a boost while dragging stormy weather down to the building. The crane would knock the parasol out of Stormy's hands on her way down allowing either myself or Chat the opportunity to catch it and tossing it to Ladybug so she could purify it. Yea it maybe complex but it means there is very little chance of failure since the sign was used to throw Stormy off kilter.
Once Ladybug captured the akuma and My miraculous beeped once letting me know that I had five minutes to get back to the park where Alya, Manon and oh god I forgot about Mari! "Pound it!" We said together
"Well got to fly I said running to the edge of the building and jumping off creating my dragon halfway down and flying back to the park. I dispell my dragon about a block away and I had two minutes left, but why hold out for that long,"Gong return to the den" I said
Once I was Lloyd again i got into my pocket and dug out one of the small chocolate bars that I keep on hand, I still have a major sweet tooth, and gave it to Gong. "Thank you Lloyd" Gong said slowly eating the chocolate
"No problem" I said as he flew into my jacket pocket.
I ran back to the park as fast as I could to see Alya and Manon coming out from the Merry-go-round." Your alright" I said
"We are fine Lloyd. But you almost got yourself hurt because of the latest akuma" Alya sternly said
"Okay I'll take it" I said knowing better than to argue with Alya she's worse than Pixel in that way.
Manon wanted up so I boosted her up onto my shoulders. "ALYA! MANON! LLOYD!" I heard a familiar voice shout
I turned and saw Mari running towards us. "Hey Mari tell Lloyd here that he was stupid to try and release us because there was a villain near-by" Alya asked Mari to do
"I'm just glad that your all alright" Mari said giving me a side hug which I returned best I could.
"Mari the shoot with Adrien" Alya hissed pushing her towards the shoot
"Good luck" I said
Manon looked upset," Hey why don't we go get some ice cream" I told her
That perked her up quite a bit. But before we even got the treat the photographer pulled us over and told us to take pictures with Adrien. Which was so weird, but it worked. After an hour of dealing with an overly eccentric photographer Manon and I where finally released from him. "Thanks for helping out Lloyd" Adrien said handing me a water bottle
"No problem glad I could help." I said
I then looked at his hulk like chaffure then at a sad Mari before sighing in my head mentally. "Hey Adrien would you like to join us for fruit smoothies? We where going to head there once we where done here and well since I'd thought you'd like to come along if that's okay with your guardian" I said looking at the bug guy
He thought for a second before making a call then giving Adrien a thumbs up. Adrien brightened a good deal. "Sure let's go" Adrien said
Mari got a whole lot brighter as I picked up Manon. "Smooth" Alya whispered in my ear
"I didn't want her mopping for the rest of the day" I whispered back
We walked to a smoothie stand. Mari got a Mixed Berry smoothie, Alya got a Mango smoothie, Adrien got a Heath smoothie for his father's sake, and I got the Mixed Berry smoothie for both Manon and I, as well on top of paying for all of them. "You didn't have to" Adrien said
"Hey I asked you so it's only fair that it's my treat" I said
"Fine but next time I'm buying" Adrien said with a pout
I let out a laugh as our smoothies came to our table. The Gorilla, Adrien's guardian kept an eye on us the entire time which was fine by me. Once we were done We bade him good-bye. "See you at school" Adrien told us as he drove off
Once the car was out of sight Mari lightly punched me in the arm. "What was that for?" I asked
"I wanted to ask him oh now it's back to square one" Mari groaned
"Look Mari what you need is to be confident and that means getting your head on straight" I told her shifting a sleeping Manon on my back,"You'll get your chance okay but not today. Besides something like that takes time and effort on both ends"
Mari remained silent on our way home. Well this was an interesting day that's for sure.
