I'm drowning,
But am I worth being saved?
There's no one here to love me,
No one to care if I'm taken by the waves.
The water is filling my lungs,
It makes it hard to breathe.
I don't trust anyone enough to pull me up,
Trust only leads to grieve.
I'm drowning,
Can you save me?
I try to scream..but nothing comes out,
I look around and can see you breathing,
You don't hear my painful shouts.
I'm drowning,
But you can't tell.
You're too busy using me as your anchor,
To care if I am saved as well.
I'm drowning,
and only love can save me,
But I'm trapped in my own personal hell.
How could anyone ever love me?
When I can't even love myself.
