"Never thought I would call you on a cell phone."
"Shut up! I don't even know why I've done this for you."
"Because I don't have my powers right now, so..." Sanchez replied. She was calling Dragon in her bunk. Door closed of course.
"You owe me some. Really."
"Yeah-eah. I know. Remind me of that when I'm a arrogant, selfish goddess. I'll call you back if necessary, May is callng me."
She wasn't.
"But-"
She pressed his call away, and smiled. For some damn reason, she had gotten Dragon this far that he had transformed into a woman, only to tease Hand. She couldn't wait until she would have her powers back.
"Agent May?!" She heard Simmons asking. It sounded urgent.
Sanchez opened the door of her bunk, and tried her best to listen. May was still doing her tai-chi exercises. Being disturbed three times in a row...
"Oh hello. I'm... I... I don't mean to disturb you, but I was just wondering-"
"No," May replied immediateley.
"I ran into a small-"
"No."
"It's just... We tried to find more information, like you said, and I reacted very badly. If you could just possibly-"
"No," May replied again, with her hand in front of Simmons her face. She sighed.
"I shot someone."
May quitted her tai-chi movements, and sighed.
"Where's the body?"
"Ah."
May followed Simmons, and Sanchez closed the door of her bunk quickly, to end in a enormous laugh attack. Even with her time on earth, there were still things of the human race she would never understood.

"O my god."
Skye swallowed, trying to do something in her head with what she just had found out about the mission.
There was no extraction team.
Someone closed her laptop.
Coulson didn't seem very happy.
"What did I tell you?"
"You told me to trust the system. And the system just sent Ward and Fitz in there to die."
*
"I told you I would get you answers about your family!"
"That was not were I was looking for!" She shouted to Coulson. "I was trying to find out what was happening to Ward and Fitz."
"That's a classified operation," Coulson replied.
"It's a suicide mission! I saw it all! The two placements, the area assault! What's the worth of it to disable that device? There's going to be a huge attack on that compound, with no extraction plan, and you hid that from us!"
He took her by her arm, and went with her to a hallway with no people.
"I did not hid anything from you. You don't have the clearance to know that."
"Is that really were shield's all about?!" Skye shouted. "Level fives are more expendable than level eight?! Is that all what we are, just a number to you?"
"Are you done?"
"I don't know, am I?"
"If SHIELD keeps a secret from you, it's for a good reason."
"So that they can-"
"Don't interrupt," Coulson said. "You just hacked the level eight secure server. Operational plans, where you don't have contacts for. If details get out, the whole operation could be compremised. Lives could be lost, Ward and Fitz among them!"
"I know! Those are two people we care about. On the plane you're always telling me to think outside the box, so I went off book, because I was trying to watch their backs!"
Coulson was getting more mad with the minute.
"Our team can get off book, because there is a book. A hub. A organisation watching our backs. You claimed that you wanted to be a part of that. A SHIELD agent. Do you?"
"Yes," Skye answered.
"Because someday, I may have to trust you with a secret. And I need to know that you can keep it."
He turned around, as a sign that their conversation was over.
"Can I ask you one question?"
He turned around again.
"What?" He asked.
"Did you know there was no extraction plan for Ward and Fitz?"
"That's classified."
He turned around again, leaving Skye behind in the hallway.

"Agent Sitwell is in the hospital wing. Apparently, a member of your team ran into him, unconcious."
Coulson had just entered the briefing room. Agent Hand wasn't very pleased.
"A misunderstanding. I will handle the matter internaly."
"Trancolising an agent does not quallifies a misunderstanding."
"You're right. But being told that there's a extraction team at place in fact when there isn't, that does. I'm level eight, I'm entitled into information regarding the well-being of my team. You should have told me."
"Seems I didn't have to," Hand replied. "And what would that have changed, agent Coulson? You, yourself have arranged thousands of operations like this. You know how this works."
"Usually, with an extraction plan."
"Barton and Romanoff, they never have a extraction plan."
"They know that, going in."
"Agent Fitz is unproved in the field, and knowing would have caused him to lose focus or courage."
"That should have been my call," Coulson said.
"I wasn't sure you could comply. Your team includes a electronicly tagged non-agent, who is no tourist for leaking secrets. Which reminds me, how did you get this information again?"
"I know what the safety of a thousand men is worth. I know the importance, of taking the overkill device out of play. But I also know MY men, and what they're worth! The decision to go in should have been theirs to make."
"Perhaps," Hand answered. "But you need to trust the system, agent Coulson."
She turned around, back to the screen, not being able to see the face Coulson send to her.

"You got the information, now we react," May said.
"We're gonna get our guys."
"Somebody has to," May replied.
"What about the SHIELD assault?" Simmons asked.
"We won't intefer. You don't need to land for a extraction. Three can pull it of."
"Four is better."
"Make that five, please."
Sanchez and Coulson were standing on the balcony.
"You're in?" Skye asked. "We have to be level eight to discuss this."
"We're not discussing anything."
"O my gosh, people. Can we just skip the talk part and go further with making sure that Coulson doesn't end up as the only not female on this bus? Come'on, this thing needs to be in the air!" Sanchez shouted.

"Ehe. Last chance Fitz."
Fitz looked at the device. If he would move one simple thing, the whole show would start.
"Are you sure you want to start this, because the second you pull the wire-"
He pulled the wire.
"Your turn."
Ward pressed the button of the signal device, and somewhere else, everyone started moving.
"Okay Fitz, lets go. We need to slib out of here before they notice that the device is brought down."
"Got it."
A alarm started.
"We need a new plan."
*
"Are you sure this is gonna work?"
"Yes, theoretically."
Somewhere, a door opened.
"Hurry."
Fitz was doing something with the ding they got from the device.
"Okay, finished."
Immediateley, they heard a plane coming over the compound, and the explosion of a bomb.
"What was that?" Fitz asked.
"SHIELD, " Ward replied. "They've started their attack, what means that we don't have much time before they crush the compound."
Ward looked up, and pointed at a higher place.
" Get up there and take out as many of their weapons as you can with that thing," he demanded.
Guards came running down the stairs, and Fitz ran to another one, to get into position.
"Fitz!"
Fitz fired a shot, which eleminated the weapons from the guards. He fired a few more, while a guard was coming in the way of Ward, with a iron stick.
He had taken him down within a few seconds.
Another one came, and he took a iron chain. He didn't need long to take them all out.
Fitz came down from his higher spot, looking at a man he just shot with the weapon of the overkill device.
"I just did that."
"Yeah."
"Well, lets go."
They ran outside, right in the middle of armed seperatists.
"They said they needed a guy like you and a guy like me, right?" Fitz asked.
"Yeah. Right," Ward responded.
A dark shadow fell over them, and both of them looked up.
"It's the extraction team!"
"Better," Ward said. "It's the cavalry."
May brought the plane in position. Ward grinned.
"Never getting tired of seeing that."

"Sanchez, what are you doing?"
Coulson stood in the entrance of Sanchez her bunk, while she was packing a lot of stuff in a back pack.
"I... Eh... Trouble."
"Ward and Fitz can come in any minute, isn't this-"
"No, this can't wait," Sanchez replied. "We... I'm still having five hours to go until I will get my powers back, but they've made an hour from it."
"That's good, right?" Coulson asked.
"No. Eh... Something has happend. Or is going to happen. I don't know. But let us say... I need to get back to Asguard. For business. My mastresses, gods have their souls, they will change the wires a bit. Everyone, except you and May, will believe that I'm going to visit my mother, who's spontaneously ill. Dragon will get me with the first transport."
"That means you're leaving."
She quitted packing, and sighing.
"Yeah. But I will be back for the next mission. I promise. I don't know how I will be, but still... I will be back. I promise."
She took her backpack, and left her bunk. Outside, she took her phone, and called a number.
"I'm ready. Say Heimdall he can get me. But please, let him be gently this time."
Coulson could hear some laughing at the other side of the line. A flash.
Than nothing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Thanks for coming to get us, sir."
Ward and Coulson shook hands.
"We take care of our own."
Behind him was Simmons, standing at the entrance of the lab.
"Well done Fitz."
He took his backpack off.
"I'm so glad you're all right."
"Yep. Good to see you too."
She smiled.
"Oh. The sandwich, how was it?"
It took a while before he gave a response.
"Too much ravioli?"
"It was delicious."
They took the special case which was between them, and went into their lab.
Skye punched Ward on his shoulder.
"You know, for a second, I thought I had to find a new supervising officer."
"Sorry to disappoint," he replied.
"The truth is, I was in good hands."
He went into the lab, and gave Fitz a look before leaving it to go upstairs.
"I had Ward's back, the whole time. Pretty much saved him from a gang of monsters. I kicked a few guys heads in."
He sighed.
"But enough mission talk already. Anything excited happend at the hub?"
"I shot a superior officer in the chest," Simmons answered.
Fitz gave no response back.
