We all walk in silence to the elevators and up to the all slaves floor. We begin walking down the hallway and make it all the way to the end. Harry stands in front of my room, well old room.
"Ellie can stay in this room. I'll show you to a different room, Michael." Harry opens up my door and gives me an encouraging look to go inside. I almost oblige until I hear Michael laugh from beside me.
"Why does she have to have a separate room? I'd like her to stay in my room, please." Michael smirks and Harry gives him a deathly glare. He looks like he wants to say something, but instead he slams the door and begins walking angrily through the hallway. I scowl at Michael and he winks at me before we both follow Harry.
We walk up a small flight of stairs bringing us up to the area with rooms surrounding the big hole that leads down to the main ballroom. I remember when Harry and I walked down the big flight of stairs across the room to go down there for the party.
Harry circles around the floor to one of the doors and opens it up when we reach him.
"You can... both stay in here." He mumbles and I see him fisting his knuckles again. I wonder what his problem is. It almost seems as if he is upset that I'm going to be staying in the room with Michael which I know is Michaels plan. I can tell he is trying to make Harry jealous, but I know it won't work.
Harry's probably just upset his brother is here or something and he's annoyed that I'm back.
Michael steps inside and I feel Harry watching me. I'm proven right when I look up to him and he is indeed staring at me.
"Come on, Ellie. I won't bite. Unless you want me to." Michael grins. Harry lets out a breath and his nostrils flare. His knuckles stay tight as I begin to walk into the room.
"Uhm, Ellie." Harry mumbles and I whip my body around. I hate that now that he is acknowledging me, I take any chance I get to talk to him.
"Yes?" I ask, keen and nervous to hear what he has to say.
"Never mind." He looks to Michael and frowns at me before storming off. I hear Michael start to laugh from beside me and I cross my arms and give him a scowl as he closes the door.
"Did you see how mad he was?" He laughs.
"Is that what you're doing?" I scowl at him as he makes his way into the bathroom. This room is much bigger than mine and it has better quality things.
This section of rooms must be where all the vampires stay.
He doesn't say anything so I follow him. He is fixing his hair and he looks at me through the mirror with raised eyebrows.
"It's not going to work." I say, knowing I'm right. Michael is trying to make Harry jealous, but it won't do anything. Harry obviously doesn't want me anymore.
"It seems to be working so far." Michael smirks.
"How?" I roll my eyes. "He didn't even seem the least bit..." My words are cut off with a small knock on the door.
Michael's grin grows and I look over to the door when another knock occurs.
"I bet that's for you." he laughs.
I walk over to the door without responding to Michaels dumb remark. I'm a little surprised when Harry is standing behind the door. He must be here to speak to Michael some more. He looks a little nervous and he keeps his eyes on me only for a second before looking to the ground. The tension is uncomfortable. I wish things were back to normal.
"Let me get Michael." I state and turn my body to walk back to the bathroom. His warm hand reaches out to my arm, pulling my body to a stop.
"No." He says. I look at his eyes and see the color soften slightly.
My eyebrows furrow and I open my mouth to ask why he said, no, but he beats me to speaking.
"I came here to ask if we could talk." he mumbles and I barely hear the words that slip out of his mouth. He looks nervous and when he runs a hand through his hair I can tell he can feel the tension too.
I'm completely surprised as to why he wants to talk with me and I'm alittle afraid. I don't want to say the wrong thing to him or tell him my feelings.
Also, what if he just kicks me out of Shadow again. I'm kind of glad to be back here, even if I'm hated by the man I love.
"Of course she'll talk with you." Michael shows up behind me and his smile doesn't fail to show.
I nod my head to Harry, agreeing to his offer even though I'm afraid to go with him alone.
"I'll come back in an hour. You can get cleaned up and changed." Harry says and leaves the doorway and sets off down the hall. The door closes from Michaels push and I roll my eyes when I hear him begin to laugh.
"And you said it didn't work." He says and I shake my head.
