A/N: This is where the stories start to become slightly different

I woke up before the sun rose into the sky. For the next two hours, I checked on the traps surrounding our hide out and covered any tracks that could lead back to us. When I was done, I walked into the kitchen to make some coffee. The sun had just started to rise when I heard footsteps coming towards me.

I turned to see the ten men I had just saved enter the room. They all wore their clothes from last night, and their hair was messy and tired eyes smiled at me. I gave them a nod but a smile rose on my face when Milo stumbled into the room. "Good morning."

Some of them muttered the greeting back at me while the others grunted. Good thing that I always carried dozens of cups in my cupboard. Milo came and gave me a hug. "Hey, G."

"G?" Gabriel spoke.

Milo chuckled. "When I was younger, I thought that her name was San-Gee. So I started to call her G."

Kota's lips curled up. "Both of you seem very similar."

I smiled. "We were. Do you guys have some questions for me right now?"

Owen took a sip from his coffee. His gray eyes never leaving me. "How is Dr. Roberts tangled up with this Phoenix?"

I sat down. "The Phoenix saved him when he was about to be terminated."

"Terminated?" Victor's eyes scrunched together in confusion.

I nodded. "Yes, terminate. When an O-negative becomes a certain age, they are either taken to a lab and tested on or are terminated."

Sean frowned. "Why would they do that? Why not let them free?"

Sighing, I leaned forward. "Because they don't see the value of a life especially a negative o man who has nothing to contribute to their cause. The Phoenix tries to save the lives of any man who is in need of immediate help."

"So why did they try to help us?" Nathan spoke. "We weren't in any immediate danger other than losing our virginity."

"When I joined the Phoenix, my main priority was to save my brother. I couldn't get to him when they were training, The best choice was the Bidding when security is the weakest." I stood up, pulling out food from the cupboards. Food such as spam, bread, eggs, and fruit were on the counter. I grabbed some pans and started to make some food when two pairs of hands appeared. I looked up to see Luke and North on either side of me. Luke had opened the spam and was currently frying it while North was cutting the fruit. "Do you two like to cook?"

Luke gave me a cheerful smile. "When there was nothing else I could do, I would cook. Baking is more of my thing but North likes to cook."

"Do any of you know how to use guns or knives?" I asked as I fried some eggs.

"We don't," Victor frowned. "Most of us know the basics of hand-to-hand combat but we don't know how to use weapons."

I frowned. "I know this might be hard for you guys, but I need you guys to know how to at least use a gun and a knife. Just because we freed you from the Academy doesn't mean that they will forget about you."

"I guess that's where we come in," a voice spoke from the doorway. I looked over my shoulder to see Raven and Brandon standing just outside the entrance. Brandon gave me a strained smile. "After breakfast, we can start training you."

"How did you guys escape the Academy?" Silas said softly.

Raven looked over the Greek man. "Corey kidnapped me from Russia. We don't have this problem over in my motherland."

Corey walked into the room with a bright smile on his face. "I didn't kidnap you. You followed me."

Brandon sighed. "We aren't o-negative men. Corey and I were green collars, a-positives. When we were 19, we came across some Phoenix agents and kept them safe. In return, they helped fake our deaths and brought us into the organization."

"Axel, another friend Kevin, and I were friends with Brandon and Corey. They helped us," Marc said simply before taking over cooking eggs for me.

North grunted. "Where's Kevin?"

The four fell silent, and Raven stared at Corey. A voice spoke, making the ten jump slightly. "Kevin was killed two years ago on a mission to free a black collar from a Prime woman."

I turned in my seat to see Axel and Kayli. Axel had such a sad expression that my heart went out towards him. I had known Kevin and he was like a brother to me. He was always there for the others and when he was murdered, it almost tore the team apart. His death also made their and Kayli's relationship more unstable.

My anger boiled at the sight of Kayli's expression. I knew that Kevin was against her joining their team, but she should have some respect for the dead. She shouldn't be rolling her eyes at the mention of their fallen teammate or have a bored expression on her face. I growled at her. "Get out."

She scowled at me. Yelling, she squealed. "What did I do?"

I stood up from my stool and stalked towards her. "You have the audacity to roll your eyes at the mention of your fellow comrade. A comrade that your supposedly men had been friends with for most of their lives, and you stand there like you don't have a matter in the world. So what did you do?! It's more like what you didn't do. I won't allow you to stand in my house while showing no compassion or kindness." I pointed at her. "Keep acting like a spoiled bitch, and trust me, you'll lose your family, Kayli. Now get out of my house."

Her brown eyes widened in shock then indignation. She looked at the others to back her up, but was disappointed when they looked at her with cold expressions. Fuming, she turned and stomped out of my house. When she was gone, the atmosphere seemed to lighten. Turning, I looked at the ten. "After breakfast, we start training."

An hour late, we were trekking through the forest. I led the way with Axel next to me. The others were talking with the ten Academy boys and Kayli was walking at the back of the group. I gritted my teeth each time I heard them break a twig or make a noise. Axel touched my shoulder. "Sang, calm down."

I rolled my shoulders, trying to lessen the tension in my muscles. "It's just that we have a week to train them the basics before we take them across the country. And Kayli is not making it easier on me."

He stared at me until I looked up into his almond shaped eyes. His eyes were filled with understanding. "That's why you have us. Kayli," He winced, "we will take care of her. We've been suspicious of her activities. We don't know everything, but something is up with her."

Behind us, we heard Kayli bitching about not making noise while walking to Sean. I rolled my eyes. "Doesn't she understand that they are having a hard time adjusting? For most of their lives they have been told what to do and who to be. She can't expect them to know everything about surviving in the span of ten hours."

Axel wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "Shh, Sang. Over worrying about them will do nothing but add stress. All we can do is try to train them so they can take care of themselves without us."

I laid my arm on his shoulder, reminding me of the times we had been close. That was a long time ago. "Thanks, Axel. I needed that."

He gave me a small smile. "We're family, Sang. Sometimes we need to vent."

I peeked a view at Kayli who was scowling at Kota while being pulled away by Brandon. "What will happen to Kayli if she's found guilty?"

His smile disappeared, and he looked cold. "We have to keep the Phoenix safe. If she's found guilty, she'll have to be dealt with. I hope she's not guilty."

I felt a pang in my heart. Kayli had captured all of their attention and seemed to fit into their team until she started to act differently. I know that I didn't like her, but I didn't want my friends to suffer. I hoped that she was just worried and not in anything bad. "I hope she isn't too."

Axel gave me a knowing and thankful smile. He stopped and turned around. "This is where we will practice. We have guns with blanks in it. First, you will know how to hold the weapon correctly and then we'll practice. We will continue to do this until all of you can hit a target."

Raven silently walked towards me. "Moy lunnyy svet, let's fight."

A face splitting smile spread on my face. It has been such a long time since I fought Raven, and I was actually excited. I smirked. "Ready to lose again, moya noch' (my night)?"

He smiled at his old nickname. "Anytime, lunnyy svet."
