I awoke from my sleep, groggy and cranky. 11 hours in a hot smelly car with an annoying brother can do a lot to you.
We pulled on to the hot cement of our new Nevada home. "Holy cray!" I exclaimed seeing the enormous house right before my eyes. "Like it?" my mom questioned my amazement. "No, I hate it!" I said sarcastically rolling my eyes.
Jumping out of the car, I ran to the new castle that I would call a 'home'. The drive way seemed that it stretched for miles. The lavish house was surrounded with a brick fence and security cameras.
Once inside the 'Great Wall of China', the landscape looked like it belonged in a magazine. Flowers, a shade of every color in the rainbow were imbedded in piles of neatly laid out dirt. Oh, and the bushes and trees! They were green as could be. In all shapes imaginable.
I rushed to the front door of the white and red brick home. The large oak door had a diamond door handle. Then, I took a deep breath and reached for it.
I opened it and a grand marble stair case was revealed
"Oh My God!" I couldn't believe my eyes! I sprinted up the stairs,only stoping to stare at the golden chandelier, to my new room. Once again I twisted the diamond door knob to spot a gorgeous walk in closet and a spacious teal painted room.
When my parents and brother entered the house there was no cracking of the door anymore. Just silence and the pitter-patter of their foot steps. "Sadie, come help with the boxes." my father screamed up the stairs and long hallways.
Almost lifted from a trance, I scurried down the stairs to help unload the truck. Once I was at the truck, my mom approached me with an uneasy expression on her face. "Sweetie, I'm glad you like it here, but there's something I need to tell you." she proclaimed. "uh, alright. What is it?" I asked worriedly. "School starts in 2 days..."
