You play music to drown out the sounds of your heart breaking and your eyes leaking. You hug the pillow to your chest to try and put the pain to rest. You've hidden your sorrow, said you'll feel better tomorrow but it seems like it'll never end. You've done all the things they've said to do, gotten plenty of sleep, sunlight and gotten out of bed before noon. You still hope for the best, even when your mind won't allow you to rest. You know it's a disease, sadness and anxiety. They try to push it all down and away, saying you just need to think happy thoughts so the pain won't stay. They don't understand it's not always in your control, if it was as simply as thinking happy thoughts you would have done that a long time ago. I'm sorry to say, they may never understand fully or want to stay but that doesn't mean you won't get to feel happiness again someday.
