when you're too ill
and too sick to be around
no people nor friends anywhere
to be found.
the thoughts of loneliness play
with your head
as sleepless nights are much spent
in your bed.
"this is a sickness,
you're contagious," they hide
the pain from the stares
is branded in your mind.
"not human, a freak" they stare
and they shriek,
you're torn
and your weak
for the people who hurt
don't have weapons, they speak.
