You wake up to hear Chris on the announcer. "Alright, campers! Enough beauty sleep! Time to show us what you're made of!!"
Later...
You're all later sitting outside in some bleachers in front of a large stage. You see Bridgette walking with Courtney and wave at her. She sees you and waves back as she walks up to sit next to you. Courtney rolls her eyes yet chuckles at how obvious you two like each other. You look over and see Trent with Gwen. You smile as he's making some progress with getting her close to him.
Chris soon comes out onto the stage. "Welcome to our brand new, deluxe, state of the art, outdoor, open theater!" You lean in to Bridgette's ear. "Man, that was a mouthful" you whisper making her giggle. "Okay" Chris continues, "this week's challenge is a summer camp favorite...a talent contest!"
Your eyes brighten up as you usually love talent shows even if sometimes you bail at the last minute because of your serious stage fright. "Each time has eight hours to pick their three most talented campers. These three will represent them in the show tonight! Sing, dance, juggal, anything goes! As long as it's legal." Chris eyes Duncan which makes him snap his fingers in frustration.
"You'll be judged by our resident talent scout, former DJ VJ, and rap legend....Grand Master Chef! Who will show his approval via the Chef O' Meter!" Chris points above his head as if something is supposed to appear. You look at the camera crew at the bottom of the bleachers filming Chris and figure the Chef O' Meter will probably be edited in the final cut. "The team the loses will send one camper home tonight! Good luck!"
Later...
After Courtney makes herself team captain, the first batch of contestants start. Katie and Sadie weirdly dance to some early 2000's late 90's music. Everyone's faces has a look that says "uuhh....that was....that was weird." DJ soon tries out with his ribbon dancing technique and he actually does pretty good. Geoff makes it too doing his skateboard routine as well as Courtney with her violin playing. Three hours pass in the amount of time it took to find the three contestants.
You see Harold by himself as he sits on the porch while everyone else heads to the stage. Bridgette starts to walk buy sees you with Harold. "Hey, Y/N! You coming?" You tell her you'll catch up and as she walks away you talk with Harold. "Hey, sorry you didn't make it." Harold tells you it's okay and that beatboxing probably isn't even that good. You reasure him that it's awesome and that you want to hear it. "Really? And not out of pity?" Harold asks. "I wanna hear it, man!" Harold takes a deep breath.
Later...
Backstage, everyone is getting ready. Bridgette and Geoff start a bet that she can keep the handstand for twenty minutes and soon Duncan, Harold, and yourself take a peice of that action. Bridgette starts pretty good as she walks around with her hands. Suddenly her legs get caught in the cords and ropes, causing a spotlight to fall on Courtney and her violin, crushing it. Courtney cries at the sight of the broken instrument and blames Bridgette for killing it. Bridgette tries to fix it, but fails, making Courtney cry more. Bridgette walks away, ashamed. You soon follow her.
You find her shedding a few tears and comfort her. "Hey. You didn't mean to do it" you say as you embrace each other. "But I still did it! I gotta make it up to her somehow" Bridgette replies. "Well, if you do the handstand right, maybe Chef will like it!" Bridgette doesn't look sure and you try something else. You grab her hands and hold them close. "Repeat after me" you tell her. "I'm gonna do the handstand and it'll be great!" Bridgette smiles at your enthusiasm. "I'm gonna do the handstand. And it'll be great!"
Later...
It's almost time for the show and Heather talks some trash to Bridgette and Courtney. You walk backstage and Heather gets a chip bag thrown at her by Bridgette.
"What a bunch of losers. It's so easy it's almost not fun...."
".......almost."
She walks off angrily. "Nice one" you tell Bridgette, making her smile confidently. "Hey, you got this, okay?" she blushes and soon nods yes. You walk back to where everyone else is.
Later...
"ITS THE TDI TALENT EXTRAVAGANZA!!!" Chris announces through a bull horn. "Welcome to the very first Camp Wawanakwa Talent Contest. Where six campers will showcase their mad skills and desperately try not to humiliate themselves!" As the performances go on, including DJ fail at ribbon dancing, Bridgette goes on stage. She smiles at you and you smile back. She then gets in position and after a few seconds she starts burping. After a few more burps, she starts throwing up. As it gets on other people, they start throwing up as well. Bridgette slips on the puke and lands in your arms.
"Heh...thanks...I'm so embarrassed." You try to tell her that it's okay, but she doesn't believe it as a lot of the campers scowl at her. After the puke gets cleaned up, Heather soon goes on stage. "Originally, I was going to dance for you, but instead I want to celebrate team spirit with a collaboration." She smiles deviously holding a journal of some kind. You see Gwen's terrified face. "She wouldn't" she says to herself.
"So, with lyrics by Gwen, performance by me, enjoy." Heather clears her throat and starts reading. "Okay, so I'm trying to ignore him, but he's just so cute! If they had custom ordered a guy to be a distraction for me here, it would've been the Coughty. We just totally connect, he's pretty much the only person I can relate to here. And I know it's a cliche, but I love guys who play gitaur."
Cody, thinking Gwen is talking about him realizes that he doesn't play gitaur. Almost everyone looks at Trent, not knowing that Gwen slips away and runs for her life. "Thank you" Heather says, closing the book. "Well then it's down to the final act of the night. Can Geoff and his rad stunts turn it around? I seriously doubt it. Let's find out!" Geoff accidentally breaks the board leaving Bridgette and Courtney in a panic. Tyler can't do anything, Katie and Sadie are still covered in barf, and Duncan can't do anything but carve a picture of his skull into a tree. You tell them you know who can save this challenge. A few minutes later, Harold goes up on stage.
The whole crowd cheers as Chris soon announces that the Killer Bass win the challenge. Bridgette and Courtney run over to hug Harold who looks at you, smiling. You give hin a thumbs up saying "I knew you could do it."
"Everyone thought I was mean to Gwen. Whatever. All I needed was four votes against Cody. Lindsay and Beth were easy, Izzy's just crazy, and Owen? Peice of cake!"
"*Laughs* Peice of cake!"
As you get ready for bed, you hear Heather screaming outside. You look out the window and see her scratching and picking something out of her hair. You chuckle and go back to sleep.
