Magnus cried a bit more, because he was just too happy, Catarina wanted to die of happiness, and she even cried a bit too, because after centuries, someone had told Magnus he loved his true and real eyes.

Alec just stayed like that, hugging Magnus without knowing what to do at all; well, not that he didn't like it, to be like that, but he knew they couldn't be like that.

Magnus, after some minutes, realized that perhaps Alec was uncomfortable, so he sat up on the sofa after some minutes, and they looked awkwardly at each other. Catarina felt like the third wheel.

Alec was blushing, and looking at Magnus. The Warlock hadn't put his Glamour on. He wasn't sure if he had to, or not.

The Shadowhunter had told him he liked them, but what if the blue-eyed boy regretted what he had said? Maybe Alec had only said it, so he wouldn't be sad.

Magnus decided to say something about it.

"Alexander... Did you really mean that?" He asked softly, looking at Alec.

Alec was blushing so hard, that Magnus and Catarina began wondering if all the blood in Alec's body had gone to his face.

He had his fingers tangled together, not hurting himself, because he didn't want to worry Magnus, but moving all of them nervously.

"I-I..." Alec brought his hand to his nape of neck, and his other hand stayed on his lap. His right leg was shaking. "Y-yeah... Yes, I... Did," the Shadowhunter took a deep breath, calming himself down. "And... I would love it, if... If you don't p-put the Glamour when... Whe-when you're with m-me..."

Magnus smiled and sighed relieved, before hugging Alec tightly, and, without thinking, he kissed Alec's cheek.

Magnus quickly pulled off and looked worriedly at Alec, hoping not to find a panicking Alec.

Instead of that, he saw Alec blushing even more, and lowering his head, to look at his hands intertwined on his lap.

Magnus wasn't sure of what to do. "I'm... I'm sorry, Alexander... I shouldn't have done that..."

Alec's jaw was shaking. He had to be honest with himself: he had liked that.

He truly had.

But he just couldn't get used to that.

No.

Magnus had done that, because he was so happy.

No.

In a romantic way, that was not possible if there were two men.

No.

Magnus and Catarina saw how Alec's face started to whiten, and how he started to bite his lip, and rub his nape of neck nervously.

"Alexander?" Magnus asked, unsure of how Alec was feeling.

The Shadowhunter quickly nodded, and tried to tell the Warlocks that he was fine, but the words got stuck in his throat.

What Magnus and Catarina didn't know, was that Alec was, internally, having an argument with himself.

"It doesn't seem like you're fine..." Mumbled Catarina.

"Look, Alexander, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that... Forget it, okay?" Magnus said, feeling a bit sad.

Alec, still with his jaw clenched, nodded rapidly again; he had his hands still intertwined together on his lap. Magnus was completely aware of that, but he knew it was better if he didn't do anything, otherwise, Alec maybe freaked out, because he had touched his hands.

Suddenly Catarina, remembered something she had had to tell Magnus, days ago. She had forgotten about it, after she had found Magnus and Alec asleep on the sofa, together, some days ago.

"Magnus, I forgot to tell, you..." She started.

Magnus and Alec turned their heads to her, Magnus looking at her in the eyes, but Alec listening her while looking at Chairman Meow, who was in her arms.

"Tomorrow, there's a Downworld Cabinet Meeting, in the morning." She ended.

"What?!" Half shouted Magnus, making Alec flinch, involuntarily.

Catarina saw that, but Magnus didn't, since Alec was behind him.

"The... The Clave hasn't called me!" Continued Magnus.

"I know, I know. They called me because you weren't picking any of the calls from the Clave, and they asked me to tell you, first of all, about the meeting, and then, to check your phone more often." Explained Catarina.

Magnus frowned and snapped his fingers, summoning his phone immediately. He turned it on, and saw 15 missed calls from the Clave.

"Why didn't they just send a fire message? It would've been easier." He asked confused, still looking at his phone, amazed.

"They've also done that, but I don't know if you remember that your wards are too strong for a fire message to enter."

"Oh..." Magnus turned off his phone, and looked at the blue-skinned Warlock.

"So tomorrow... There's a meeting?"

She nodded.

Magnus sighed. He couldn't leave Alec alone.

"I'm going. You need to stay with him. I already told you I would be going to any of the meetings you needed me to go. It's not a problem."

Magnus already knew that, but he let himself breathe a bit more relieved, that he didn't have to leave the blue-eyed Shadowhunter.

Catarina opened her mouth to say something else, but she was cut off, when suddenly, Magnus caught a fire message that had suddenly entered in the room.

Magnus looked at it, and saw it was a fire message from the Clave. He frowned.

"Didn't you just tell me fire messages can't enter because of my strong wards?" He asked Catarina, reading the fire message.

"Maybe it entered because you kind of lost control on yourself. I mean, your Glamour faded, so maybe the wards got a bit weak too, and this fire message made it to enter..." Catarina said, while Magnus read the fire message.

It said that there was going to be a Downworld Cabinet Meeting... In half an hour.

"Catarina," he just said, frowning, and gave her the fire message.

She took it, and frowned too. "What...?" She said. "The meeting was supposed to be tomorrow..." Catarina added.

"I don't know..." Magnus said, shrugging, when she looked at him, as if Magnus would know why the Clave had changed the date of the meeting. "I didn't even know there was a meeting, Catarina. I have no idea why they decided to change the date." He said.

Catarina took a deep breath, "Well, doesn't matter. Thank God it's in half an hour..." she muttered.

"Is there something else you wanted to tell me?" Magnus asked, wanting to get all the Clave stuff done, so he could forget about it.

Catarina opened her mouth, about to say something, but she closed it again, and shook her head.

"No, nothing more. Just that I'm going to this meeting..." she said, as she moved her hands, creating a Portal behind her. "I'll probably come after the meeting." She added, right before she turned and walked through the Portal.

Catarina stepped from the Portal, already in the room of the meetings, and ignored all the gazes glued at her. She went to Magnus' seat, and sat down there. Right after that, she looked up, wanting to apologize to Jia, for having been late, even though she hadn't been late, it seemed like everybody was already in there, but there wasn't Jia.

There was Robert Lightwood, between Maryse Lightwood and the Inquisitor.

Magnus turned his head to see Alec. The blue-eyed boy was already looking at him, with Chairman in his arms.

"Do you want to watch a movie?" Magnus asked happily to the Shadowhunter.

Alec at first frowned, but then, he nodded, tugging Chairman's head softly.

"What's your favorite movie, Alexander?" Magnus asked, looking into Alec's blue eyes, which were staring at his own hands, on Chairman Meow's back.

Alec blushed at the question, and Magnus grinned.

"Alexander, there's nothing to be ashamed of. Just tell me what movie. I don't care the type of movie it is. Just tell me, and we'll watch it."

Alec shook his head, "It's just that... I-I've ne-never watched a-a movie..." he said, low.

Magnus raised his eyebrows surprised. "Really?" He asked astonished. He had never known anybody who had never watched a movie. Alec nodded a little.

"Y-yes... I'm s-sorry... I-I di-didn't mean t-to..." he stuttered out, squeezing Chairman Meow a bit, while his stomach clenched in guilt, for not having ever watched a movie.

Magnus bit his lip. "Alexander, don't apologize. It's, obviously, something you don't have to apologize for..." he explained, and Alec nodded again. Magnus suddenly thought of a movie that Alec would like for sure.

He snapped his fingers, and the lights were off. Another snap of fingers, and popcorn appeared between them.

Alec watched how all this happened. Perks of being a Warlock, he thought, as he took some popcorn.

"W-what are we gonna watch?" He asked.

"The Hunger Games." Magnus answered. Alec frowned. The... Hunger Games? What a name for a movie... He thought.

"The main character uses a bow the entire movie, and she's so good at using it." Magnus said, and Alec's eyes lightened up. "Just like you..." Magnus added, and Alec blushed, while he muttered something that Magnus didn't quite understand, but he guessed Alec was telling him it wasn't true.

Magnus snapped his fingers one last time, and The Hunger Games started to play, in front of them, on the wall.

Alec was a bit surprised at first, but then, he just took some more popcorn, and payed attention to the movie.

Throughout the film, seeing Katniss using her bow, Magnus couldn't help but think how good Alec would look with his bow. Magnus still hadn't seen him using it, but he was sure Alec looked so good.

Magnus shook his head. Why was he thinking about Alec like that?

Stop!

He was so concentrated, thinking about that, that he almost missed Alec sniffing.

Magnus blinked a few times, and saw Rue dying in Katniss' arms.

Alec sniffed again, and Magnus immediately put his arm around Alec's shoulder, pulling him closer. He felt the blue-eyed boy letting his head fall on to Magnus' shoulder.

He heard Alec sobbing low, and he paused the movie, knowing Alec needed to calm down a bit, before they could continue watching the movie.

Alec sobbed again.

"Ma-M-Magnus... D-did R-Rue die w-when she-she wa-was 12?" Alec asked between sobs.

Magnus rubbed Alec's upper arm with his fingertips, "Yes, she did..." he answered, and Alec sobbed once again, as he pressed a bit his head on Magnus' shoulder.

The cat-eyed Warlock frowned. He was slowly supposing that something had happened to Alec, that was related to the number 12.

"Alexander... What is it? Do you want to talk about it?" Magnus asked, hopeful, but Alec shook his head.

"N-no-no... I-I-I can-can't-t t-ta-talk a-about that-at..." Alec said, and sobbed again.

Magnus sighed, and rubbed Alec's arm softly, with his fingertips.

"Okay..." Magnus muttered. "Do you want to continue watching the movie?" He asked, and felt how Alec nodded against his arm.

Magnus smiled, and squeezed him for a second, after snapping his fingers again, and making the movie continue.

They watched the three movies of The Hunger Games, and the other three of Divergent, until a Portal appeared behind them.

Alec had cried a bit more, throughout the movies, but Magnus would always find a way to calm him down.

When the Portal appeared, Alec, who luckily was in a good mood, and had his head on Magnus' shoulder, turned his head, wanting to know who had portaled; the cat-eyed Warlock already knew who it was, so he just paused Inception, and waited.

Catarina, with exhausted and pissed off face, walked fast to her usual armchair, and sat down there, after having sighed deeply.

"Now you get why I'm always exhausted and pissed off, when I come back?" Magnus asked, playfully, and Catarina glared at him.

"Where were you?" Alec asked, curious.

She looked at him, and Alec shrank, when he saw Catarina's furious gaze. Magnus saw it too, and hugged Alec tighter against his side, "Catarina..." He said, half almost whispering.

She looked at him, and took a deep breath; a minute later, she looked at Alec again, with a softer gaze.

"I'm sorry, Alec, I'm just exhausted... I went to a Downworld Cabinet Meeting. A useless one." She said, with angry tone.

Alec just nodded, yet he was still feeling as if he had done something wrong.

Magnus frowned, "Useless one? What happened?" He asked, "I mean... I don't really have fun going, but... Useless... I don't know. What happened?" Magnus asked.

Catarina took a deep breath, "Well... This meeting was basically to tell us that Jia has quit, as the Consul."

"What?!" Magnus exclaimed astonished. He couldn't believe it. Jia Penhallow was one of the best consuls the Clave had ever had, and she loved being the Consul. "Why?" He asked.

"Jia... Penhallow?" Alec asked, a but confused.

"Yes, darling..." Magnus said, right before turning his head again, to see Catarina. "Why, Catarina?" He asked again.

She shrugged, "I don't know. They didn't tell us..." she simply answered.

Both Magnus and Alec frowned, "What do you mean? Who didn't tell you? Wait... Was Jia there?" Magnus asked.

Catarina bit her lip, and looked first at Alec, and then at the cat-eyed Warlock, "Jia wasn't there... And the ones who were there, are the Inquisitor, and... The Lightwoods." She ended, looking at Alec.

The blue-eyed boy felt his chest tightening. "M-my parents? Or... My... My sister too?" Alec had almost asked, if his siblings were there too, when he remembered there was only Isabelle left. Just by thinking of that, tears started to form in his eyes. Just form, not fall down his cheeks.

Magnus and Catarina both saw how Alec's face turned pale. The cat-eyed Warlock turned Alec a bit, and cupped his face quickly, "Alexander, hey, are you okay? Everything's gonna be fine, okay?" He said.

Alec took some deep breathes, and then nodded multiple times. "Yes, yes... Okay, I trust you... I trust you..." he whispered. Magnus nodded too, "Calm down, Alexander, calm down..." he said, and Alec nodded again.

After that, they both looked at Catarina again, Alec with his head on Magnus' shoulder again.

"Alec." She started. "Your parents were there, but your sister wasn't." Catarina explained. Alec looked down and nodded. He knew his sister hated him, but he couldn't help but still care about her.

"B-but why were they even there?" Alec asked shyly. "I-I mean... Aren't there more important people than my parents?" Alec added, a bit confused.

Magnus looked at Catarina, and saw she was hesitating. The cat-eyed Warlock frowned. Catarina hardly ever hesitated. She was going to say something huge.

"They were there because the Inquisitor has appointed them, well, Robert, as the new Consul." Catarina said.

If Alec was already pale, to say that he turned even more pale, would be an understatement. It was as if Alec's body had been drained of all the blood.

"W-what-t?" He stuttered out.

Catarina just looked at the floor, and nodded, while Magnus started to notice the signs of the start of a panic attack, on Alec.

The blue-eyed boy could barely breath, and he was sweating. His head was hurting, and his whole body was shaking.

"I-I'm go-go-going-ing t-to-to th-e ba-th-bathroom-om...." he muttered, right before standing up on trembling legs, and leaving the room.

He walked fast to the bathroom, leaving two worried Warlocks.

Catarina looked at Magnus, and they both stood up at the same time, running to the bathroom.

Magnus reached his hand out for the doorknob, because they found the door closed; he didn't open the door.

"Alexander, Catarina and I are gonna enter now..." he said, but Alec barely heard him; and if he heard him, his brain didn't process the words. Just that somebody was talking to him.

He was sitting with his back against the bath, his legs bent up, with his arms around his head, his hands intertwined together, and his nails sinking into his hands, hurting himself, and his head buried against his knees. He was shivering scared. He couldn't stop thinking about the fact that his father would be the new Consul. That meant, the Shadow World would go to hell.

Magnus opened the door slowly, and he and Catarina entered. When Magnus saw him, he knew Alec was probably crying, judging by how his shoulders were shaking. Catarina saw him, and covered her mouth with a hand, "He's having a panic attack..." she whispered.

Magnus nodded; he already knew that.

The cat-eyed Warlock slowly walked to Alec, and knelt down in front of him. The first thing he did, was take Alec's hands in his, stopping him from hurting himself more, since he had seen that the nails were cutting into Alec's backs of hands, and a trail of blood was pouring from it.

Once Alec's hands were in his, Magnus heard a snap of fingers and Alec's cuts were suddenly healed; the blue-eyed boy still had his head between his legs, crying and shaking.

Magnus took both of his hands with his left hand, and with his right hand, he tried to lift Alec's head up a bit.

The blue-eyed Shadowhunter tried to resist, but he ended up lifting a bit his head, so at least Magnus would stop making him look up.

When Alec lifted his head a little, Magnus left Alec's hands, and cupped his face softly, with both of them; the blue-eyed boy was still breathing hard, and crying.

"Hey, hey... Hey, Alexander, calm down, sweetheart... Calm down... Relax..." he whispered soothingly.

Alec's jaw was shaking, but he clenched it, trying to stop the shaking. He looked into Magnus' cat eyes, and remembered it was Magnus, who he could trust, and who was there to help him.

Magnus nodded too, "Alright..." and after that, Catarina snapped her fingers again, and Alec fell to a side, asleep. Or he would've fallen, if it wasn't because Magnus caught him in his arms, "I got you..." he whispered, even if Alec was asleep.

Magnus lifted Alec up, in his arms, and stood up, carrying the sleeping Shadowhunter. Magnus saw how Catarina looked sadly at Alec.

"Let's go," he said, getting out of the bathroom. "I'm bringing him to my bedroom..." he said, as he heard Catarina follow him.

She just nodded.

They reached Magnus' bedroom, and, while Catarina waited outside, Magnus lay Alec down on his bed, gently. He stayed there for some minutes, just staring at Alec, until he remembered Catarina was waiting outside.

He sighed, and got out of his bedroom. He closed the door behind him, and looked at Catarina for some seconds, "Let's go to the living room..." Magnus muttered.

She nodded, and they started to walk silently to the living room. "I feel really bad for him..." Catarina started, and Magnus bit his lip, nodding.

"Everything he's had to go through... Is just because he's gay?" She added.

"Yeah..." he simply said.

"And all those rumors..." Catarina continued.

"They were all false..." Magnus whispered. "They're the most false thing I've ever heard..." The cat-eyed Warlock added.

"Fucking homophobic assholes..." She whispered, "Fucking homophobic assholes..." Magnus repeated.

They were already in the living room, now, facing each other. "I'm already going to go... But before I do so, I have to say some more things." Catarina said, and Magnus raised his eyebrows curious.

"What is it?" He asked, smiling a bit.

"First of all, I want you to know, that I've never seen anyone calm somebody, who's having a panic attack, down that fast." She said, and Magnus rolled his eyes.

"But that's not what I wanted to say." She said, "What I wanted to say, is that, at the meeting with the Clave, everyone started asking me about you. Especially the Inquisitor and the Lightwoods-..." Magnus cut her off.

"You haven't told them anything about Alexander, right?" He asked, fast. They were both in problems, especially Alec, if Robert and Maryse found out about their son being alive, and taken care by the High Warlock of Brooklyn.

Catarina quickly shook her head, "No, of course not..." she said chuckling. "I just told them that you couldn't go, because you were taking care of somebody of your family." She continued, and Magnus clenched his jaw at that.

He didn't have any related to him, who was still alive, or who Magnus loved.

Actually, the only related to Magnus who was still alive, was his father, Asmodeus Bane.

Magnus hated him so much. He had been the one who had abandoned him with his mother, and his abusive stepfather. Asmodeus Bane was the Prince of Hell, and lived in Edom, one of the realms of Hell, and the most dangerous one.

Catarina saw how Magnus' face changed immediately with her words, and she regretted having told him that. Catarina already knew about Magnus' family and history. She was about to apologize, but Magnus spoke before her.

"I, uhm... Yeah... Yeah, good idea..." Magnus muttered, biting his lip.

Catarina nodded, and pressed her lips together. They stayed in silence for some seconds, until Catarina remembered she had to tell something else to Magnus.

"Oh, Magnus, and about Alec's back, you can already heal it." She said.

Magnus looked at her surprised, "Me? Shouldn't it be you, the one who did that?" He asked.

Catarina shook her head, "You already know how to treat a wound. We had to wait for some days, to see if the Shax demon had infected him, or something like that, until we could treat it," she explained, like the good doctor she was, "You haven't noticed anything weird in Alec's behavior, right?" Catarina asked, and Magnus shook his head.

"I don't think so..." he muttered.

"Okay, so you can already heal his back." She ended, with a smile. "And now, I'm leaving... If I have to go to that meeting, tomorrow in the morning, I think I should sleep a bit..." Catarina said, turning on her phone, to look at the hour.

She hugged Magnus fast, and then turned, said goodbye, and left, stepping through her Portal.

The cat-eyed boy sighed tiredly, and yawned. He was really tired.

Magnus turned and started to walk to his bedroom. He turned off all the lights, as he walked, with a snap of his fingers. He reached his bedroom, and entered, closing the door. There was some light in the room, which Magnus wasn't really sure where it came from, and he saw Alec, under the blanket, with Chairman Meow asleep in his arms, sleeping.

Magnus went there, and lay down on the bed, on his side, in front of Alec and Chairman, covering himself with the soft blanket. At the second Magnus' body came to rest on the bed, Alec whispered something in his sleep, "Magnus..." the Warlock heard.

"Hey, Alexander, I'm here..." he whispered back, and he saw Alec opening a bit his eyes. "No, sweetheart, sleep... Don't worry..." Magnus muttered, brushing one of the locks of hair that fell down to Alec's forehead, away.

Alec whimpered a bit, "N-no... It... It hurts..." he said, wincing a bit in pain. Magnus frowned. "What hurts, Alexander?" He asked, worriedly.

"I-I don't know... E-everything-g... M-my ba-back e-espe-cially..." Alec said, barely able to hold his eyes open.

Magnus saw how Alec was struggling, to keep himself awake, and he cupped Alec's cheeks. "Close your eyes... Just close them, and the pain will be gone..." he whispered, getting a bit closer.

Alec nodded softly, and did as he was told. He closed his eyes, and seconds later, Magnus saw how he looked more relaxed, and heard how his breath had turned steadier. He was asleep again.

Magnus ignored Chairman Meow, who meowed for attention, since he was being ignored, even though he was lying down cutely between Magnus and Alec's bodies.

The cat-eyed Warlock took Alec's hands softly, and started healing his back.

It took Magnus ten minutes, but Alec's back was finally healed. The blue-eyed boy hadn't woken up, and Magnus just thought he was probably exhausted.

Magnus shook his head, trying to forget about that, and he scratched Chairman's head softly, right before he closed his eyes, and fell asleep shortly after.

It was 10:12 pm.
