Travis' POV
We made it to Ryland's territory in 36 hours. I would have ran all the way without stopping, but I knew I had to eat. And with Jim and WIll reminding you that they need to eat every other hour, the lenght seemed longer to me.
By the time we reached the border, we were met with ten men. They smiled when they saw us and we shifted. Pulling clothes on we shook hands. As they lead us to the house, Jim and Will were talking up a storm with them. I shake my head and look around. I could hear all kinds of wild life in the woods. The closer we got to the house, the harder my heart beat. I could tell that Jim and Will were getting nervous as well.
We walk through the door and and tall muslced guy steps forward. "I"m Moses, Ryland's TIC. Welcome to the Silver Ghost. Follow me." We nod and fall in line behind him. This is one wolf I would hate to have to fight. We stop in front of a heavy oak door. Moses knocks on it and waits. I breath deep and freeze. I look back at my brothers and notice that they too smell it as well.
Jim and Will link with me. DUDE, IT SMELLS JUST LIKE PEGGY AND MOM. WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?
i DON'T KNOW. BUT WE'RE ABOUT TO FIND OUT. They nod and Moses opens the door. We step in and look around. I see Ryland behind his desk, and a couple sitting on the couch laughing softly. She looks up and our eyes lock. As her silver blue eyes widen, I find myself fighting to breath. The man beside her, stiffens and pulls her into his lap. I let out a growl which is followed by Jim and Will. Ryland looks up in surprise. The man jumps off the couch and places the girl behind him, crouching in a protective stance.
I feel my wolf waken and strech. He see's Peggy and smiles. But seeing the guy in front of her, makes him pissed. I fight to keep him at bay. I look at Ryland. "Why do you have my baby sister here?" My voice cold, flat and hard. I could tell by the slight confused look that crossed his face for just a split second he didn't know. I then turned to the guy. Before I could ask him, Ryland speaks. "This is Brice, my Beta. Brice, this is Travis, Jim and WIll McBride." We nod stiffly at each other. Slowly, we relax.
Peggy comes running out from behind Brice and straight for us. She jumps and hits me, making me fall onto Jim and Will. Her arms wrap around me tightly and I just stand there dazed. She hugs the other two and it hits us finally. We wrap her in a bear hug. We laugh as she kisses our cheeks. Brice didn't like that and he growled at us. Peggy just laughed and looked at him. "Brice, don't growl at my brothers. It isn't nice." Her voice floats out and stuns us. We must have looked like idiots. "You...You talked." Will manages to get out.
Jim pokes her causing her to laugh. "You're really you. You're not dead." Again she laughs, but not as hard this time. She slips out of our arms and walks back over to Brice. "Brothers, I'm sorry that I let y'all believe I was dead. I honestly didn't know. For a long time after the accident, I couldn't remember my own name. When Leigh started talking to me after the wreck, I thought I was going insane. I almst checked myself into an asylum." She chuckles softly.
" By the time I was able to remeber everything, I couldn't feel any of y'all through the sibling bond. I tried and tried to contact y'all. I spent a month solide callin each of you non-stop. I thought that something had happened to you." Brice looks at her and they both smile. "I was being pulled north. I didn't know at the time it was because I had to find Brice. I was planning on coming home when he found me."
I look at her. Her hair was a different color, but everything else was the same. She hadn't changed. "So, is Brice your boyfriend?" I ask suddenly, keepin my face straight. Peggy shakes her head. "No Travis. Brice is my second chance mate." I nod and look at Ryland. "So the talk about an alliance was just cover to get us here?"
"No, I really think that we should join forces, especially now since we'll be in each other lives so much." He says nodding at Peggy and Brice. "I agree. Where do I sign." He laughs. "It's nice to finally meet you McBride."
"You too D'argento." I shake his hand.
Peggy's POV
My brothers and I stayed up for hours catching up. I didn't realize just how much I missed them until I saw them. As we siad good night, I made sure that I hugged and kissed them one more time. They laughed but hugged me back.
Crawling into my bed, Brice wraps his arms around me. I smile and kiss him. "Thank you for bringing them to me."
"You're welcome, sweetheart. I knew you would want to see them. I'm glad that it made you happy." I laugh softly and snuggle closer to him. As i laid there listening to his heart, I got to thinking about us. He hasn't marked me yet, and I know that he won't do anything until I tell him. But I want him to mark me so bad. Seriously, Leigh won't shut up about it.
I roll over and look at his face. I take in every little detail and I smile when I see a dark red color start to bloom. "Are you blushing?"
"It's hard not too when you're staring at me like that." I looked puzzled and he groans. I laugh softly, which was wrong. He jumps onto of me holding me down, trying to look stern at me. I smile at him and within seconds he caves. He leans down and slowly kisses me. His tonuge brushes across my lips asking for entrance. But I keep them closed. Again he does it and again I deny. He suddenly bites my lip hard causing me to gasp.
Slowly he slide his tonuge in, deeping our kiss. I moan softly and I feel him laugh. I pull back ignoring the look of hurt written on his face. I lean closer to him and whisper softly, "I want you to mark me Brice." Surprise is stamped on his face.
"Are you sure sweetheart?" His voice thick with emotion. "I wouldn't have told you if I wasn't sure." He smiles and kisses me again. Then he slowly starts to kiss my neck. When he gets to the spot where my shoulder and neck meets, I let out a small moan. I feel hime smile as he kisses the spot again. He pulls his head back as his canines extend. I feel them slice into my skin as pain shoots through me. Then in just a blink of an eye, the pain turns into pleasure as he licks the blood up, helping the bite heal.
I feel my canines extend and I bite his shoulder/neck, marking him as well. I slowly lick my mark. Kissing it softly, I look at him. "Dang baby, I forgot about you being alpha blood. That's cool." He kisses me again and this time I grant him entry. Things start to get pretty heated between us. I soon forget that anyone besides him exsist as I feel his body on mine.
*time leap*
I wake up in the morning. Brice laid ontop of me, pinning me to the bed. I smile as I remeber that we fully mated the night before. I could hear my brothers and Ryland talking downstairs, but I don't move. I slowly trace my hand along Brice's jaw, kissing where my finger was.
I see him smile as he wakes up. "Good morning baby. How are you feeling?" Concern laces his words. I just smile at him and kisses him slowly. "I feel fantastic." I tell him as I slide out of bed and walk over to the closet. I feel his eyes on me, but I don't turn around. I head down to the kitchen to grab breakfast.
Brice meets me at the foot of the stairs and we walk in together. My brothers stare at me, but I just ignore their looks. Looking at my mark on Brice, I blush a little. It's the coolest thing I've seen, well beside his mark on me. Mine on him was two wolves howling at a full moon and my name outlinging it. His mark on me was two wolves howling at a cresent moon with his name above it.
He makes me chocolate chip pancakes and we spend the morning with my brothers laughing. They guys soon disappeared into Ryland's office, leaving me to wonder around. Heading outside, I head for the woods to talk a walk. The house was still insight when I smelled a rouge. I turn around to find him behind me. "Well hello beautiful. Just who we were looking for."
"What do you want mutt?" I hurl at him, but he just laughs.
"I've come to claim what's mine."
"I don't belong to you. I already have a mate."
"I don't care if you have a mate or not girlie. Your parents promised me that I would get you when you turned 15. They refused to hand you over, so they died.' I looked at him hard and it hit me. I could see mom as she pushed me into the arms of Travis. A man ripped her head off. This man in front of me.
I send a link towards my brothers and Brice. I let them feel my fear, hatred of this man. I focused on his face, letting his image flood the links. Before I could tell them anything however, he brought a sweet smelling cloth to my face. "Don't worry princess." He smirked. "That mark can be broken." I strugle against him, but darkness closes in.
Brice's POV
Travis, Jim, WIll, Ryland and myself was sitting in the office trying to figure out which direction the rouges would attack. I was getting anxious about Peggy, but kept brushing it off. Suddenly, a shot of fear chased by such hatered hit me. I look over and saw that her brothers were looking around holding their chest.
"What's going on?" Ryland ask confused. "Peggy. She's in trouble." I answer already out the door. I follow her scent out of the house with her three borhter right behind me. The closer I got , I could make out another scent. ROUGE! I yell alerting the pack. We split up as we follow them. I was getting close enough to hear him mumble to himself. Jim and Will jumped out in front of him causing him to drop an unconscious Peggy.
I growl deeply at him, and for a second fear flashes on his face. Then it's replaced with a smirk. Travis steps out behind me, and the rouge looks like he wants to run. He stays glued to the spot as I pick up Peggy. "Mine." He growls at me. I turn and growl back, slipping my beta power in. He lowered his eyes. I look at Travis. "Kill him."
"With pleasure." He replys and I walk away. The rogue's cries followed me back to the house. I place Peggy on the bed and just sit by her side watching her. Several hours fly by without her waking. No one enters our room, though I hear them pacing outside the door.
Finally, her eyes flutter open and land on me. I smile at her and she slowly smiles back. I lean in and kiss her forehead. "I told you that I wasn't going to let you go." I tell her. She beams at me. "Good, because you couldn't get rid of me even if you tried." I laugh at her reply and kiss her.
