I woke up on Christmas day,the house was quiet I looked out the window to see even more snow had falling outside. I loved snow,growing up in Scotland was perfect for me. I sat in bed for a while longer, it wasn't only Christmas but also my birthday, i never had a birthday party or anything like that. Some of my friends had sent me some messages, after a while, I heard some movement downstairs, I brushed my hair and made myself look somewhat okay, once I looked a bit better I walked downstairs to see my mum and dad in the kitchen there were making breakfast as they always have done.

Don't think so. Can I take the dogs for a walk?

I walked back upstairs to my room and got changed into some warm clothes, grabbed my jacket and snow boots and of course, the dogs leads.
The dogs loved to play in the snow, it was so peaceful,after half an hour the dogs and I made our way home.I walked back into the house,i could hear voices coming from the kitchen area.I hang up my jacket and tooke my shoes off then walked into the kitchen.
The whole family was sitting at the table, while mum finished making breakfast.
Look whose back?-my dad said with a smile on his face.

Right everyone sit down breakfast is ready-my mum said as she put the plates on the table.
Mum, when is David coming over-I hadn't seen my brother since July nor my nieces or my sister in law.

We all started trunking into the breakfast my mum had made, while we made some small chit chat.
Once breakfast was finished and everyone was tied away, we all went upstairs to get ready. My mum always had the rule that we had to wear a Christmas outfit this year I picked a long red shirt and a white blouse.
I straightened my hair put some basic makeup on then I went on social media to thank people for their messages I checked my texts to see
I texted back some other people, once I thanked everyone I walked downstairs. My dad was the only one downstairs we chatted away,I was always were close to my dad. Then we heard a knock on the door,I walked over to open knowing who it would be. Standing there was my brother and his family, he gave me a huge hug then my nieces jumped into my arms, there were 5 twin girls who I loved like my own then we run over to my parents I started chatting up with my sister in law. Once everyone had caught up , we started to open our gifts.
