It was the next morning and everyone was up mostly. Elyza and Raven were standing around looking at Lexa and Lincoln spar. They had never seen them spar so they decided they would stand back and watch. They were not sparring with anything too 'badass' just some wooden staffs.
It was next round. They had been going for 4 rounds. Lexa winning mostly all of them. 2 rounds ending in a tie which Raven had commented on, "You just don't wanna make him feel bad!" Anyways. This was their last one.
They both got ready and took a stance. Their stances were different. Pretty much because they had very different mentors.
They were circling each other until Lincoln came in to attack. He tried to drive one end of the staff towards Lexa's stomach but Lexa was fast. Faster than he remembered. Because she swatted off his attack and managed to get him on the jaw with the staff too. He stumbled back and Lexa came in like the wind. So fast you couldn't see half of her attacks if you blinked.
He was having a hard time just keeping up with her so attacking her was a far cry... Suddenly, she slowed her attacks down drastically and getting the desired effect she aimed for, confusion, she smirked when he faltered because he blocked nothing but air. And at that moment, he knew he was done for.
She hit him hard on his face, drove her end of the staff in his stomach knocking the wind out of him, hit the staff out his hand, put her staff behind his neck, pulled and sweeped him off the floor. He landed on his back and it looked painful... But before he could do anything, an end of the staff was pointed at his neck held by a smirking Lexa. He huffed out a breath and tapped out. She took the staff off his neck and offered him her hand. He took it and Raven yelled,
"Hell yeah!! That's how you do it! Round 5 undefeated! Go Commander!!" she said with fists in the air.
"Lincoln is better than you make him be Raven. There are a very few who can even last that long against me. Even in sparring. I'm pretty sure you had a front row seat to that?" Lexa said smirking gesturing towards Chris who was standing near the yacht entrance with a scowl and also taking Lincoln's side for once.
Lincoln gave her a small smile in reply which she returned gladly.
"Oh hell yeah. That's a living and limping example" Raven said chuckling.
"Oh yeah don't boast. Just cause you won doesn't make you any less of a scared girl who needs her momma every minute!" Chris taunted.
Before anyone could jump in to defend Lexa, Lexa did it herself. Because the next thing Chris heard was a woosh of air and a knife embedded inches from his head. He froze in place. So did Nick and the adults. The trio had a amused face...
"That is why we do not make the Commander angry...." Raven muttered, something only herself, Elyza, Nick and Lincoln could hear. Everyone nodded frantically to that. Especially Nick.
"If you don't stop talking, you are gonna have to see momma for a cut off ear. Branwoda goufa" Lexa said coldly as she walked over to him and took her knife out.
"What the hell is wrong with you?! You could've killed him!" Madison roared in anger.
"Well he's alive, isn't he? That means I didn't kill him. Nou laik" she muttered the last part in Trig and got 3 cough laughs from behind her.
"What if your aim was mere inches to the left? He would've been dead!!" Madison said red from anger.
"I don't miss" was all Lexa replied, smirking.
Madison was speechless. She didn't know how and why this was happening... There were so many unanswered questions she had and couldn't ask any of them. Knowing her daughter and the killers would turn it down. But she will find the answers. Even if she had to demand them..
"Annywaayyss, we are running out of food. The pantry is almost empty. Strand stop at the next city you come across, yeah? Or there's a good chance we'll starve. And I need food!" Raven informed everyone and told Strand. Also cutting Madison before she started the argument she was clearly planning in her head.
Strand nodded from his place. Madison flared. Strand never listened to something she said that easily! What are these girls doing to people!?
"Me and Elyza'll go cause we have more experience on the field and also you and Lincoln should stay here, just in case. And don't worry Commander. We'll be back" Raven said reassuring the Commander. She knew she won't let Elyza out of her sight but she needed her on the yacht.
Lexa nodded. Which also looked like something she didn't want to do but did nonetheless. Elyza smiled and kissed her a 'thank you' and she and Raven went in to pack their usual stuff waiting for their next destination.

It was hours later the yacht began to slow down, the girls came out to see the yacht docking. The city looked deserted. It looked like no one had been here. For a long time.
Elyza and Raven left the guns, saying they'll be fine with just their knives and machetes for now. 'It's just a scavenging mission' they had said.
Raven jumped down from the yacht looking around while Elyza was hugging Lexa. Both of them not wanting to let go of the other.
"Don't worry niron I'll be back soon. It's just a small mission. I'll take care of myself, and if not me, Raven'll make sure I don't have a scratch on my body" Elyza assured Lexa and herself. Because anything could happen at any time. She had a front row seat to that many times.
"I know niron. I just... Be back soon?" Lexa asked worriedly.
"Of course we'll be back in a few hours. By dusk maximum. And Lincoln, if I see a scratch on her, you're dead" Elyza said to Lexa and glared at Lincoln.
"Sha prisa. Your wish is my command" Lincoln said smirking and mock bowing.
Elyza rolled her eyes and jumped off the yacht herself.
"Took you long enough. I thought I'll have to go alone then" Raven said rolling her eyes. Which received a smack on her head.
"Heyy!" Raven said jogging over to Elyza who was walking towards the town now.
They explored the town for hours, searching any shops that had stuff that could be useful.
"Is it just me or just place gives the creeps??" Raven said as she and Elyza were walking. There was no one. No sound. No nothing. You just hear a occasional walker growling, but that's it.
"It's not just you..." Elyza said feeling a shiver run up her spine at the cold wind that just blew. The town was quiet. Like.. Creepy quiet.
"Why do you think this is?" Raven asked Elyza wondering why this town wasn't more crowded.. I mean it was a small town but there wasn't a lot of reasons as to why it was so.... Empty.
"I don't know... Maybe they're all dead? Maybe it was always a ghost town..? Or maybe..-"
"They were all evacuated?!" they both said in unison.
"I guess.... That's the only thing that makes the most sense.. C'mon let's check that pharmacy" Raven said as she pointed to a pharmacy.
They both walked over the pharmacy and went in. It was deserted too. Everything was just scattered around like someone just picked up whatever they could and left.
They started looking around and found some Antibiotics, Painkillers, Bandages, suturing materials and more useful things. Though all of it wasn't a lot, it was better than anything they had found.
They both started stuffing all of it in their bags when they heard gunshots, followed by a loud bang. Both of their heads whipped up and Raven looked at Elyza,
"If we take a detour now.. It could get late before we reach back..." Raven started.
"What happened the last time we took a detour...." Elyza asked more like a question along with a statement and also like a wondered thought thought out loud.
They didn't say anything, just got up and rushed towards the direction the sound came from. Because of course. They found Alicia, Lexa, the last time they took a detour.
They jogged and walked for a few miles before they found where the sound had came from.
They both were surprised and not surprised at the same time that the sound had carried out for miles..
It was a shop. Around 20-25 walkers desperatly tried to get in. It was likely someone was in there because they didn't pay a attention to the girls standing behind them. Elyza and Raven looked at each other having a silent conversation about what to do. Because they couldn't take on 20+ walkers... So Elyza thought of something,
"Raven. Go and hotwire the nearest car and get it started and bang the horn. The sound will distract the walkers towards you and I'll save whoever's in there. Go!!" Elyza ordered in a low voice so the walkers didn't hear them.
At first Raven started moving but then it was like something clicked and she turned around and said,
"You go. I'll save the person"
"What..? What's wrong with you? Go and do it for god's sake!" Elyza said in a hushed tone.
"You know how to hotwire a car too! You can do it too! Why are you always Batman and me Robin?!" Raven whined.
"The fuck.. Are you seriously going to go on right now?!" Elyza said barely managing a hushed tone.
Raven just looked at her
"For god's sake Raven!! You can hotwire a car better than me! Go now!!" Elyza huffed, her surroundings forgotten.
"We both learned from Miller!! We both know the same thing!! You just wanna be Batman!" Raven said accusing.
"We did learn from Miller but you are way better!! Though It would take you mere minutes to hotwire a car, it would take me more than 10 tries!! No one is Batman or Robin here!!" Elyza said.. More like yelled...
While they were arguing, they didn't notice that they had succeeded in distracting the herd from the shop. Only that the herd was coming straight for them and was only 20 feet away now..
Raven was the first one that noticed,
"Ahh Elyza..-" she tried to say but Elyza cut her off,
"I don't wanna hear anything right now Raven-"
"Elyza..!" Raven cut Elyza off,
"No Raven, Listen to me I said-"
"I'm Robin!!" Raven exclaimed and that shutted Elyza up successfully and she finally saw it too..
"Holy..." she said backing away.
"Who's plan was it to not bring guns again..?" Raven asked backing too.
"Yours!" Elyza exclaimed.
"Mine?! Are you kidding me!? It wasn't even my sugge-" before Raven could finish, they heard a rifle rapidly fire and all of the walkers fell. Dead.
Apparently the person inside the shop freed themselves and had a rifle... How convenient.
"Sky girl. I see you're as reckless as before" the person said smirking. They both gasped. Eyes wide and jaw dropped.
