Is it just me or am I the only person who gets defensive and suspicious when someone is so naturally happy?
Maybe it's because I haven't had my full share of happiness yet...
Shonna sat next to me, watching me with a huge smile on her face. She was literally jumping in excitement as she looked at me.
The fuck?
"Uh Hi?" I squeaked. This was straight up weird.
"Hi! I'm Shonna. I love your eyes."
I blinked. "Hazel eyes?" She asked, moving in closer to inspect my face.
Ever heard of personal space?!
"T-thanks. Um, I am sick." She quickly retreated back. "Oh, I am so sorry." She smiled slightly at me as she sniffed. Her nose twitched and she looked at me with a raise brow.
"Your not sick."
This time I raised a brow. "Um excuse me?"
She blinked and as if she just realized what she said, she shook her head waving her wrist. "Nothing, let's get to know each other yeah?"
I shrugged and looked at my nails. I had a bad habit of looking at my nails as food. I bite them, spit them out and get upset that I have short nails. It's a war with no wins.
I started to bring my nails to my teeth, and the sound of the snap of my nails breaking in half gave me some sort of release.
It was weird but every time I try to get rid of the habit, it just keeps biting me back in the ass.
"My name is Shonna. I am 18 years old. I am the only child and I am team Allison."
I looked at her. "What?"
"On teen wolf? I hated how Scott gone from Allison too that other girl. Don't you think?"
I blinked. I know what she was talking about but I have yet to meet someone who actually agreed with me. Forgetting all about the weird ness I gotten into the whole conversation of who is better.
"No way!" She squealed. Earning a few curious and annoyed glances at out table.
"Yes way! He just jumped from the stairs and landed on the pillows as if he was superman. He broke a leg and a Arm. I couldn't stop laughing because he is a idiot." I snorted. "Natural idiot."
I remember that day as if it was yesterday. Maybe because I have a recording of it.
Adrian was 12. He wanted to be Superman for Halloween and I came home from a sleepover to see pillows everywhere. The pillows from my room, his room, Dad and moms room, even Amanda's room. The living room pillows were on the ground too everything scattered.
I looked at Adrian on the stairs, wearing his Superman Costume, his mask hiding the huge smile on his face. Before I could even say anything I pulled out my phone I just gotten.
I pressed start and it started recording.
"What are you doing idiot?" I had asked.
"I am not a idiot, idiot."
I rolled my eyes. "Takes one to know one."
"Whatever. If you must know, I am about to be the first human to fly." He had stated proudly. "I am going to be superman."
"So I can watch as you fall to your death?" I questioned excitedly.
"Shut up idiot." He stepped back and jumped.
I laughed as the memory ended. "All I heard was a snap."
Shonna shook her head. "Your brother sounds..."
"I know." I finished off for her. "He just was dropped to much times when he was a baby."
When I heard a chair scratching back on the floor, my head snapped up. "Oh shit!" I mumbled.
"What?"
"We have to go get that packet." I quickly stood up, slipping through some desk and rushed to the front desk. I grabbed a packet and sat back next to Shonna. She smiled and we leaned in to look through the packet.
"You think we can actually figure this out?" She asked, as she scanned the words on the packet.
I shrugged. "I have no idea. Seems hard. If scientist couldn't figure it out, what makes them think a bunch of highschool students can?"
She laughed lightly. "True."
It took us about 10-15 minutes to go through the packet. We ended at the right time because the bell rang. Students started packing up there things, talking to there partners.
"Hey so should we do this at your house or mines?" I asked Shonna. I started packing my books up in the bag and I pulled my hair out and ran a hand through it. The bun was too tight on my head.
Shonna looked at me with awe. I blushed. "What?"
"I love your hair." She touched a strand. "So curly." She mumbled the last part.
I slowly nodded and got threw on my bag. "So which one?"
She hummed. "What?"
I huffed. "Your house or mines?"
"Oh, Mines!" She paused. "If that's ok with you?"
"Better than ok." I nodded. "I don't need my siblings in our business."
"Great, let me text my boyfriend."
"Uh What?"
She looked up at me and laughed. "I live with him and his... family." She nodded. "IS that ok?"
I bit my lip. "Um Yeah."

I decided to wait on Shonna and her Boyfriend outside of school. Then I remembered something.
"Shit."
"What's wrong?" I jumped when Shonna and the 2 boys and girl stood behind her.
They looked at me with worry and I sighed. "I forgot something." I whispered.
Amanda will kill me. "What?"
"I needed to pick up my sister. I promised her."
"Oh... Um, Tomorrow then?"
"I can't... I have a doctors appointment. How about this Saturday?"
Shonna looked at Beard guy and sighed. "Uh yeah that works." She mumbled something but I couldn't quiet catch it.
"Uh, Ok." I waved them bye and rushed to my car.

I sent a quick text to Adrian that I will be picking up Amanda today and parked the car. I locked it and headed inside to Amanda's school.
I walked up the stairs and signed in at the front desk.
"Amanda Shade."
The lady typed up something before nodding to the stairs. "3rd floor, room 201."
I nodded and rushed to the room. My eyes flickered against the wall searching for the number 201.
When I found it, I looked inside and saw Amanda laughing with her friends.
I smiled. Her teacher soon walked up to me and smiled at me.
"Hi Mr. Black." He nodded.
"He Anita. Are you picking up Amanda today?"
Nah, I'm here to shit on your hands.
"Yep. Adrian had some work to do." He looked at me a bit to long before turning behind him and yelling Amanda's name.
Amanda looked up annoyed, but when she saw me she quickly grabbed her bag and rushed to me.
"Anita!" She hugged me and I was taken back.
A frown placed on my lips. Have I really been not spending time with her that much?
I sighed and hugged her back. I waved bye to her teacher and placed my arms around her shoulders and headed outside.
"Can we go for icecream?!"
I looked down at her and smiled. "Of course."
