When I arrived at my classroom, I realized that I still wore Snipe's cape. I was quick to remove and fold it, putting it away into my bag. Once I was ready, I entered the classroom, a majority of my classmates already in there. Approaching my desk, I had Mina and Hagakure come over and talk to me. It was a quick conversation which took place while we waited for Shota to arrive. He took a little longer than usual, being just over 5 minutes late to class. But we cut him some slack, he was badly injured.

----------------------------------------

The day went quickly and when it was over, I pulled out my phone to send Hitoshi a message. I wanted to ask him where he wanted to meet so we could walk home together. I sent the message and waited for over 5 minutes, feeling surprised that he hadn't replied within that space of time. He was usually so quick to respond to texts, hating when others were slow at replying.

Right now it was the end of the day, most of my classmates sitting around the classroom talking to each other. I remained in my desk, occasionally looking up at those who walked by. But I had noticed that there was a lot of noise coming from the classroom's door. It was open and blocked by a crowd of students who I didn't recognize, I guessed they were from other classes.

The thing which gathered the rest of the class' attention was Bakugou getting pissed at the students in the way, calling them extras. Iida was quick to scold the ash blonde, everyone watching the scene unfold. But there was something which drew your full attention, a purple head of hair appearing in the door way. Hitoshi stood tall among the shorter students, standing out. I watched from a distance and I could tell that his words were insulting due to Bakugou's reactions to them. Not wanting either of them to use their quirks on each other, I decided it would be the best if I were to interfere. Picking up my bag, I hurried to the door, my footsteps capturing everyone's attention.

My eyes moved from Bakugou to Hitoshi, the ash blonde and purple-haired boys looking back at me. I gave Bakugou a knowing look which seemed to get him to back down and close his mouth. From there, I walked up to Hitoshi.

"Are you ready to go home?" I asked him, everyone both inside and outside of the classroom staring at us. Hitoshi immediately backed down from his conversation with Bakugou, his gaze shifting from the explosive boy and to me.

"Hmm yeah, let's go," he answered in a dull tone. He turned and started walking away, the students in the crowd moving aside for us to leave. The purple-haired boy was walking a lot faster than me, making me pick up my pace just to walk beside him. It was silent at first, this continuing until we reached the gate.

"Don't get into any fights," I told him. He shrugged his shoulders, sending me a sideways glance.

"It's hard not to when I meet pricks like him," he answered. I sighed, giving the taller boy a playful nudge.

"Bakugou's a hot head and he wants to fight anyone that gets in his way, it's nothing personal so just try not to fight him." Hitoshi remained silent but I knew that he would listen to me, not really having a reason at all for getting into a fight.

"Besides, if you got expelled your mother would be pissed." Hitoshi heaved a sigh and returned my nudge, nearly knocking me over with the amount of strength he put into it. After that I couldn't help but laugh, noticing that he was smiling himself in the corner of my eye. It made me happy seeing him in a good mood.

"Did you see my text at lunch?" I asked, feeling more comfortable since the awkward atmosphere was gone. He nodded.

"Yeah, I sat with some of my classmates instead." I was grateful that he had made friends of his own in his class, but that wasn't the part I was referring to. I opened my mouth to ask him what he wanted me to do to make it up to him, but he bet me to it.

"And when we get home, you're gonna watch movies with me until dinner." I couldn't but laugh at his request, loving that all he wanted was something so simple.

"Okay, you've got me for the rest of the afternoon."

----------------------------------------------

Once Hitoshi and I returned to his house, he was quick to pull me into the living room and start up the TV for an afternoon of watching movies. He seemed eager for it to happen as well, rushing around to get food as well as blankets for our comfort. He threw a blanket onto me before occupying the space beside me on the couch, a bowl of popcorn resting on the table in front of us. As Hitoshi picked up the remote, he shuffled closer to me, to the point where we were almost touching. Turning on the TV, he directed his attention to me.

"What do you want to watch?" he asked. I shrugged my shoulders.

"It's your choice, I'm the one that said I'd make it up to you." He hummed before looking through the movies, picking one and putting it on. I got comfortable on the couch, watching the beginning of the movie but something felt off. Turning my head, I noticed that Hitoshi was staring at me.

"Huh? Is something wrong?" I asked him, wanting to know why he was staring.

"You said that you're making it up to me, right?" he wanted to confirm. I nodded my head, wanting to know what was relevant about that.

"Yeah..."

"So you'll do anything to make it up to me?" he pushed. I hummed as I thought.

"Well yeah, was there something else you wanted?" I asked, noticing how his cheeks tinted pink. He didn't respond, instead he pulled me closer to him so that I had my head resting on his chest.

"This is what I want," he muttered quietly before turning the volume up on the TV. I tried not to think too hard about it and decided to just enjoy myself. Hitoshi was warm and the way he held me made me feel protected, it was nice being this close to another person.

-----------------------------------------

Once we were half way through our second movie, both of Hitoshi's parents returned from work. I was quick to sit up and get off of Hitoshi, not wanting his mother to see us so close. I knew that she hated how close we were and I didn't want her to hate me anymore than she already did. Glancing at Hitoshi, I noticed that he looked a little sad with how I had moved away from him.

"Sorry," I whispered, keeping my eyes on the screen in front of us. He responded with a quiet hum, the two of us finishing the movie in silence.

By the time the movie was over, dinner was ready and Hitoshi and I were quick to sit down for the meal. We all thanked his mother for the food before getting into it, enjoying everything she had prepared. But there was something that I noticed about this afternoon, his mother seemed especially distant from me. Usually she would at least give a greeting or a fake smile, but I received nothing. It wasn't that I expected anything from her, it was just strange because it seemed like she was ignoring me.

Once everyone finished, I was quick to leave everyone and head upstairs. Hajime noticed this and stopped me.

"Hey, kiddo. You doing alright?" he asked, combing his fingers through his hair. I nodded quickly, not wanting him to worry.

"I'm fine, I just have lots of homework I need to get through," I lied. There was some truth it, but there wasn't as much homework as the amount I exaggerated. Shota hadn't given us as much since we had just come back from the USJ and he wanted to give us a small break. Hajime believed my words and sent be a smile before waving.

"Well, study hard. Good night." I responded with a smile of my own and a quiet 'good night'. He seemed pleased with my response and left me to my own devices.

Walking up the stairs, I wondered what I would do. I planned on doing my homework then maybe finishing the comic Monoma had given me before heading to bed early. There wasn't much else to do and I couldn't hang out with Hitoshi, he seemed to be ignoring me after what happened earlier. It was saddening but I didn't let it get to me, if I just waited until tomorrow I was sure that it would all go back to how it was before.

--------------------------------

My eyes opened slowly, locking onto the dark ceiling above. Slowly sitting up, I looked around and noticed that it was very dark still. It was rare for me to wake up in the middle of the night but after swallowing some saliva unknowingly, I discovered the cause. My throat felt dry and needed to be hydrated.

Getting out of bed, I made my way over to my school bag and found my drink bottle which luckily had a small amount of water in it. Taking off the lid, I was quick to drink it all and soothe my aching throat. It worked, my throat feeling better instantly but I wasn't sure how much longer it would last. Wanting to stay safe about it, I decided it would be best if I were just to fill up the bottle and then have a supply of water in case I was to wake again.

Approaching my bedroom door, I was quiet while opening it, not wanting to wake anyone else. Hitoshi's bedroom door was closed and there was no light coming from beneath it, I assumed that he was asleep. I was as silent as I could be as I descended down the stairs, noticing the sound of voices coming from the lounge. I didn't want to intrude on the conversation but I couldn't help but listen, halting at the bottom of the stairs and taking a seat on the second one.

"I can't deal with this anymore, Hajime," Mihoko sobbed. My grip on my bottle grew tighter as I listened to her sound so distressed.

"I'm so scared, I don't think I can put up with this any longer." I rested my head against the wall, wondering what it was that was making her so upset. I thought it could be something to do with her job or maybe it was one of the neighbors being rude to her again.

"I thought that the money would be worth it, Hajime. We needed the money so badly, I don't know where we would be if they didn't come to us with the offer." Hajime sighed.

"Come on, Mihoko. You know as well as I do that it was best deal we could've gotten and we were lucky that (L/n) was such a lovely girl. There's no reason to be so upset."

"No reason!? Didn't you hear what that the man from the Hero Association said? He said that she had a two out of three chance of becoming a villain. We have a villain living under our roof with our family, Hajime," she argued, her voice stern and unforgiving. I felt like I wanted to retract into my shell, what the hell was she talking about? Money? Two out of three chance of becoming a villain? I had no clue what they were talking about but the way she talking about me made me feel self conscious.

"Aren't you going to say anything, Hajime? You know that I'm right. She's the daughter of a villain and the rest of her family is part of a Yakuza group, what else would you expect? And here she is, taking Hitoshi's spot in the heroics course. I want that brat gone and out of my house before she hurts us." I felt my eyes grow abnormally wet, the new moisture collecting and leaving my eyes in the form of tears. It had been such a long time since I had last cried properly.

"I want her to leave forever and never come back. That demon can go back to the hell hole it crawled from," she spat.

"Mihoko, you're drunk and you're acting unreasonable," Hajime tried to reason with her.

"No, I'm not. I hate her and the way she tries to seduce my son that disgusting succubus."

"Mihoko, stop!" The sound of shattered glass filled the room, a broken wine glass laying on the ground besides an intoxicated woman and her tired husband.

"She's going to hurt me. Help me, Hajime, she's going to kill me."

Her husband heaved a sigh and headed to the kitchen to get a cloth to clean up his mess of a wife, noticing something sitting on the stairs as he walked past. Approaching, he noticed that a bottle sat on the first step. Thinking nothing of it, he picked it up and took it to the kitchen with him, thinking more about his wife and her outrageous announcements.

Shit is going down. I had mentioned it before but Hitoshi's mother doesn't like (Y/n) at all and you'll find out the reason why (Y/n) was placed in their household to begin with. Here's two days in a row updating this story, but it's only because I had this chapter already written. Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed the chapter :) Thank you
