Mina's POV
I'm still on cloud nine two weeks after Taemin's proposal. I still can't believe I'm marrying someone like him. He's like every woman's dream! There was never a time I felt unloved when I'm with him. The security he gave me in this relationship is enough reason for me to say yes to him that night.
And few days after the proposal, he once again showed me how serious he is about us. He had a talk with none other than Lee Soo Man ajusshi. He knows about our relationship but still he was shocked when Taemin told him about our engagement. We know we cannot get married just like that. He had his contract with SM Entertainment. They never restricted him when it comes to being in a relationship, however, to get married is different.
"Taemin, I have no problem with the two of you getting married, but you know well that you can't do it within a year. You still have a comeback with SHINee a month from now and you're supposed to release your second solo album at the end of the year. Announcement of a wedding won't help, don't you think so? We already have plans for early next year." Lee Soo Man stated to which Taemin agreed.
"I know that Sajangnim. And we also don't intend to get married right away. But I really wanted our relationship to be known to the public. I know this is too much for me to ask but can we do that, please?" Taemin pleaded with the old man.
"We really don't have any idea on how your fans will react on you dating. However, I can remember Shawol's positive feedback on Mina when she faced the press to clear Onew's controversy earlier this year." the old man said not totally disgreeing on Taemin's plea.
"We have the best PR team Sajangnim, I bet they can think of a way to make the fans accept our relationship positively. I know not everyone will, but somehow I believe those who truly love and adore me will be happy as long as they can see me happy. And I promise you, I'll work even harder." I know how his decision may affect his career, but he's willing to take the risk if it's for me and our relationship. Who wouldn't fall for a man like him?
"Okay, let's see what we can do. I can't say yes until I got to talk to the PR team. For now, I can only congratulate the two of you on your engagement. You are one hell of a lucky guy Taemin! I've seen this girl grow up and I can assure you, she's very much capable of being a good wife." I smiled at the old man, touched with his words.
"I'm fully aware of that." Taemin said while looking at me tenderly.
It went well with Lee Soo Man. And this time we had to talk with the other SHINee members. It's a good thing they had one day that all of them doesn't have anything in their schedule. I went to their dorm and brought some food. I plan on bribing them with food, though I know there won't be a need for that. SHINee loves me. They'd been really good to me even from the start.
"This is really good! Taeminnie, you will surely say goodbye to your muscles when you two get married. Mina cooks really well." Minho said while munching on the jokbal I brought.
"I already find it hard to stick to my diet and I had to spend more time at the gym." Taemin said in a voice far from complaining.
"It's good to know someone's going to take care of our Taeminnie. I hope he doesn't give you headaches like he did to me in the past nine years." Jinki joked. I'm glad he is doing good. He still managed to smile though I know he is in a difficult situation and he is far from being really okay.
"That's not true! I've been a very obedient maknae." Taemin defended himself.
"Yeah right, an obedient maknae who loves to sneak out during nighttime just to play pool with Kai!" Kibum spilled the beans to which Taemin can only scratch his head which made everyone laugh.
"When do you plan on letting the public know about your relationship?" Jonghyun asked on a serious note. I know he's worried about us. He experienced it first hand, and it didn't turn out well for him in the past.
"We are still waiting for the PR team's approval. They are still weighing the pros and cons" I answered him.
"I got an idea! Let's help them decide." Kibum blurted out.
"How?" Minho asked, curious on what's running inside Kibum's head.
"Let's take a picture together with Mina and I'll post it on my social media account. Let's see how Shawols will react." Kibum suggested.
"Will that be okay?" I asked, worried about the plan's outcome.
"We can give it a try." Taemin tried to convince me. In the end, I just let them do what they want.
We posed for a couple of times. I'm in between Jinki and Taemin. The twin towers, Kibum and Minho at the back and Jonghyun, being the short one,was tasked to take the group picture. Not without protest but in the end, he had no choice but to agree. We laughed when we saw how close is the distance between his face and the camera.
Kibum chose three pictures to post. One is where all of us is smiling happily at the camera, then the wacky one and lastly is a picture where Taemin is looking at me with that soft smile on his face while I send finger hearts to the camera. With everyone's approval, Kibum uploaded the pictures only putting a heart emoji as his caption.
In less than a minute, he got lots of likes already! I got so nervous when we tried looking into the comments. I had my eyes covered with both hands until I felt Taemin trying to uncover my eyes by holding my hands.
"What are you so scared of baby? No matter what they say nothing will change, alright?" he was so sincere that I had to nod.
They scrolled through the comments.
"Who is she?"
"Isn't she SM Ent's lawyer? Didn't know she's close with the boys"
"She's so pretty!"
"Ommo! Look at how our Taeminnie looks at her!"
"They look good together! Sweet!"
"Who is that bitch?"
Kibum suddenly locked his phone when we reached that harsh comment. I almost laughed when I look at their faces. All of them had knots on their forehead.
"Hyung, make sure you block that person." Taemin had this dark expression on his face.
"I'll even report her account." Kibum said with the same look on his face.
"You don't have to do that. I'm fine." I let out my laugh this time when they didn't agree with me.
"It is not okay! How dare that person call you a bitch?! They didn't even know you personally!" there goes the Flaming Charisma's temper.
"Exactly the point. They didn't know who I really am. Their comments doesn't affect me at all. I swear!" I think I made my point when they loosen up a bit.
"Are you sure?" Taemin asked me, worry written all over his face.
"I am okay Taem. You're the one who told me that no matter what they say, nothing will change, right? You crazy maggot." I said while laughing.
"Crazy for you baby." he said making my cheeks red.
"Ugh! oh come on Taemin!" his hyungs cringed from his words. They couldn't take it anymore they decided to leave us alone in the living room.
"Look at what you did." I told him as I look at his hyungs walking away from us.
"At least we're finally alone." he was looking at me intently. I'm not surprised at all whe he cupped my face and kissed me hungrily. He pulled me on his lap as we kissed.
"Taemin, where is th--- Oooooppss! I'm sorry, don't mind me, just continue what you are doing." Jonghyun caught us! He was smiling when he once again exited the living room to leave the two of us.
"Oh my God! That was so embarassing!" I hid my face on Taemin's neck as he laughed so hard.
"It's okay baby, they should get used to it already." he playfully said.
"Yah!" I hit his shoulder a bit hard.
"Ouch! But you liked my kiss!" he winced again when I pinched his chest.
"You're so naughty Taem! Now, I'm thinking if I should let you have my surprise for you." I smirked when I saw his curious face.
"You have one for me today?" excitement written all over his face.
"Yep! Let's go!" I stood up from his lap.
We ended up at the parking lot. He was confused when I threw the key to his direction.
"You want to stroll around?" I asked him as I tap my motorbike. I extended my hand giving him a helmet.
"Whoah! Really? You'll let me drive?" he was so excited.
"Of course Taem! Let's go!"
