The Cheetah and Lion were circling each other cautiously as they glared at one another, "Who are you Pridelander?" Tau asked the Cheetah with a low growl to the invader. The Cheetah didn't like the mysterious lion's attitude, "I could ask you the same thing, why is there a lion in the Outlands?" she asked back at the cub.
She then took notice of the scar on his left eye, a scar like the lion who brought the Pridelands to ruins before she was even born, "Are you a cub of Scar's?" she asked the cub which the lion did not take kindly to that. He stood tall and gave a stern look to the Cheetah, "I'm nothing like Scar!" he bared his fangs to the Cheetah.
His eyes burned with rage as his growl stayed threatening to the Pridelander, taking a moment to start calming down but his growl could still be heard, "Name's Tau! I protect the Outlands from trespassers like you!" he spat at the cheetah with a harsh glare when calling her a trespasser.
The Cheetah wasn't happy to be called a trespasser by the lio-Tau, not wanting to even come to the Outlands in the first place, "Who are you calling a trespasser?! I've tripped and fell here; I didn't want to come here!" she said to the lion to correct. Tau scoffed at her excuse, as if he even cared about the reason, "Then leave Cheetah!" he said pointing towards the border where the Pridelands is.
"Fuli!" she said to Tau which confused him for a moment before she answered that, "My name is Fuli!"
Tau shrugged his eyes at her having not care about her name, "Fine then, F-U-L-I! Now can you leave, I don't want to see you filthy Pridelanders for another second!" Tau said mockingly to Fuli, she started heading to the border in a rage to his attitude to her, "I was just leaving!" she scoffed at the lion before returning to the Pridelands.
Tau went back to continuing his patrol of the Outlands after ensuring the cheetah had return to the Pridelands, glad to finally be rid of them. The only problem now was the pain from the crash as he's gone to walk it off.
In the Pridelands
Fuli had walked out of the Outlands in a bit of a steam, making her way to the Watering Hole to hopefully let out some frustration from the lion she had met, she was not running but rather walking while grunting under her breath he dislikes for the lion.
Being lost in thought, she was unaware of the path she was taking or the ongoing spectators to her crashing into trees or tripping on rocks. Some of the animals were wondering what might be on her mind to make these mistakes, one being an Egret who spotted the cheetah walking, "Hey Fuli!" he called out to her, getting her attention.
She looked to see who had called her name, to see an Egret flying towards her, "Oh, hey Ono!" she cheered up to greet her friend. He landed next to Fuli, noticing something was wrong, "What's wrong Fuli? You don't seem like yourself today." He asked.
Fuli grunted, having to remember her encounter with the Outlander Lion just a few moments ago, "I'm fine, just had a run in with a jerk is all." Ono was pondering as to who could have gotten under her fur like this, "Were it the baboons again?" he guessed while shaking his head hoping to not hear her complain about them again.
She let out a grunt, "I wish!" she said which surprised the Egret there, "It was a lion this time." She answered to his question. Rolling her eyes not wanting to remember her time with him, Ono however was both surprised and worried to this news, he knew she had a bit of distaste to lions because of their tradition to being superior than other animals, but if she did anything to upset a member of the royal, she could be casted out of the Pridelands. "You didn't get in a fight with the Royals, did you?!" he asked worryingly.
Fuli was surprised by his panic, "What? No!" she told him, "Besides, he wasn't even a Pridelander anyways." She finished which got Ono more interested in what happened, was there another Lion visiting the Pridelands? But he didn't recall seeing any other Lions inside of the Pridelands but the Royal Family and their pride.
Now Ono was wondering where she met this lion and when he finally got the answer of what happened, he was shocked to say the least, "The Outlands?!" he exclaimed in fear. Fuli lightly slapped him down to stop screaming that, "Shh! Be quiet!" she whispers to Ono, if others find out she had been in the Outlands, she would get in serious trouble.
Fuli and Ono started heading towards the Watering Hole together as she explained what had happened and about the Lion she had encountered. He was surprised to find out there was a lion living in the Outlands, especially a cub. Was he living there alone? Or were there more there as well?
They had finally arrived at the Watering Hole where Fuli had managed to calm down talking to someone about the lion, where they've encountered two other animals that they were friends with, "Bunga! Beshte!" they called out which a Hippo and Honey Badger who were in the water had taken notice of the two.
"Hey Fuli, Ono!" they called back, coming out of the water to meet up with the Cheetah and Egret, she then told the other two her experience in the Outland which the two were interested in hearing, Bunga the Honey Badger the most, "Cool! I want to see this Lion!" Bunga exclaimed as he started to rush towards a random direction, "Let's go!" he said.
Fuli quickly stopped the Honey Badger from progressing, "There is no way we're going there!" Fuli spoke her thought with detest to having to see that lion again. "Besides Little B, he's an Outlander and we can't go to the Outlands." Beshte having give a worried look to the Honey Badger.
Bunga was disappointed to meet this mysterious lion, he would always go for adventure and a trip to the Outlands would be great! "...ok..." he said sounding defeated. Beshte and Ono were glad that Bunga had given up, but Fuli had her doubt about this.
Time Skip to Tomorrow Morning; because why not...
Fuli had woken up from her peaceful sleep, opening her eyes she saw a pair of beating eyes staring right at her, "AAAHHHH!" She screamed as she pulled back, "Your awake! Come on, let's go!" the surprised guest said, it was Bunga.
"Bunga!" she grunted at his creepy wake up call, "No time, let's go!" he said excitedly, moving out of her den, she followed behind to see Beshte and Ono also outside of her home looking tired, "Uhm, what's going on?" Fuli asked a bit concerned.
"We would like to know ourselves, Bunga came by my nest telling me we had to go." Ono said exhaustedly, "Yeah Little B, what's the kerbubble?" Beshte asked Bunga who gave his grand scheme, "We're going to explore the Outlands!" which surprised the other three.
"We agreed not to go to the Outlands!" Fuli said to Bunga but knew he might pull something like this, "Yeah! Yeah! I know, but haven't you wonder why there is a lion in the Outlands? What else could be out there?" Bunga tried pleading to the group with curiosity.
Beshte and Ono were actually wondering why there was a lion in the Outlands, and Fuli seeing this tried to deter them from Bunga's idea, "Are you seriously thinking of going to the Outlands? If we are caught, we'll get in so much trouble!" she tried explaining to them.
Back in the Outlands [About 20 Minutes Later]
Tau was doing another patrol for the day when he is stopped by what he sees, his right eye twitching from annoyance to what he saw.
In front of him were four animals, three of which he does not recall but one was the Cheetah Fuli. "Don't tell me, you all tripped into the Outlands?!" Tau said placing a paw over his face with an annoyance and sarcastic tone to.
"Oh wow, a lion in the Outlands!" Bunga excitedly claimed, "Do you not understand what 'Stay Out' mean, are you Pridelanders a bunch of idiots?" Tau asked the Pridelander (Mostly to the Cheetah) still with annoyance.
A/N:
Ono: "You didn't get in a fight with the Royals, did you?"
Fuli: "What? No!"
Me: "Can't wait to see how she react when she finds out."
Well, anyways.. Not too thrilled in how the debate came out but I am a loner who has almost no friends. There isn't a plan for a Re-Master of this series so I will have to live with this unless I could figure something out later on maybe..
I promise the next chapter will be more smooth than this was, I wanted to get the introduction of the other three friends (Who you would already know if you are a real watcher of The Lion Guard) and I love the sassy attitude I gave Tau/Kion in this story and will explain all that in future chapter.
I just need to work on getting a few names for future chapter characters. I will be back with more chapter next Tuesday & Wednesday so see you then.
