This story is based on The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
But it's my own take so it's not completely the same as the game.
For instance some of the lore is also changed to simplify it for story form and for those who don't know anything about the Elder Scrolls games.
for those who have not played the Elder Scrolls, this information could be helpful:
Imperial - human race (pale skinned, resemble Romans) - the primary race in Cyrodiil
Breton - human race (pale and medium toned skinned, resemble more English) - High Rock
Nord - human race, (pale and often resemble Vikings) brute-like and wild; rugged, most of the time having lots of hair and beards - Skyrim
Redguard - human race, (dark skinned resemble African and dark middle Eastern complexions) - Hammerfell
Altmer - (also known as High Elf) elven race, goldish skin and lean build, taller than most - Summerset Isle
Dunmer - (also known as Dark Elf) elven race with dark blue skin and red eyes, gaunt features and often lean, average to tall height, black hair - Morrowind
Bosmer - (also known as Wood Elf) elven race, also leaner most of the time, less posh than the High Elves, can be any average height - Velenwood
Khajiit - (cat person essentially) beast race - Eslweyr
Argonian - (lizard person essentially) beast race - Blackmarsh
Orsimer - (also known as Orcs) larger, green skinned humanoids with small boar-like tusks, I'm actually not sure where their primary homeland is but that's not really important in this story anyway.
