"Sammantha"
There's a slight tug on my arms but my bed was very comforting and it just tells me not to get up yet.
"Go away!" I said groggily as I pushed away the hands that was doing the tugging and I pulled up my pillow to prevent further annoyance from whoever was trying to keep me away from my precious bed.
"Aguamenti" I heard someone cast a spell and before I could even see who it is, I felt the cold water splashed all throughout my body.
"WHAT THE HELL!?" I said as I jumped out of bed in a snap. I stared down on my now soaked clothes. Whoever did this is surely gonna pay. I was too focused on my clothes that I never saw that there were 'people' in our room.
"Happy birthday!!!" They all said out loud and I looked up to see colorful confettis flying everywhere and Sarah, Rina and Dani standing at the foot of my bed.
Rina was holding out a small cake with sparkling things in it instead of candles. Dani was holding the strings of a bunch of colorful balloons that was suspended in the air and Sarah was holding a-what appears to be-gift.
The snarl on my face quickly disappeared and was replaced by amusement as I took in what was happening around me. I stared at the three of them, with wide eyes. I honestly didn't expect anyone to wake up earlier than the usual just to greet me on my birthday especially not Rina and Dani since I thought they can't enter the Slytherin dorms because they're from another school, which reminds me....
"How did you get in?" I stared at both of them, confused.
"Wow, way too cool to say 'thank you' Samm" Dina rolled her eyes at me but answered my question after.
"Simple. Just with a little help from Sarah here aaaaand...Draco" Rina giggled as Dani said Draco's name.
"And speaking of Draco...here." Sarah handed me a neatly folded small parchment. I was about to open the letter when Rina interrupted me.
"BUT!" I looked up to her "will you blow this thing first? My hands are getting tired" She said
"Drama queen" Dani said in a whisper but Rina still heard it and she glared at her.
I let out a small chuckle at the sight of them both before I walked over to Rina and blew the sparkling things. Sarah clapped her hands as I did so.
"Sammantha, this one's for you" Sarah handed me her gift and I happily accepted it.
"Come on, open it!" She said like an 8 year old girl, very excited to open her gifts for the first time, well for the one who's giving the present, she sure is more excited than me.
I tore the wrapper off as quickly as I could and my eyes got huge when I saw what it was.
"I remember you, gushing over that thing, once, when we went out shopping so I thought I'd buy that for you on your birthday. So? Do you like it?" She asked
"Wha-are you kidding me? I LOVE it!" I said not taking off my eyes at my gift.
It was a pair of brown leather boots that I've been eyeing on one of the stores in Hogsmeade but I wasnt able to buy it because of the fact that I saw it a little too late when my money's all used up buying school stuffs and other things. Don't you just hate it? I know.
But I am too happy to speak any words right now, I quickly took the pair of shoes out of the box and slipped it on my feet and it fits just perfectly.
I stood up and made my way in front of the mirror to see how it looked on me.
"Oh my gosh! Thank you soooo much Sarah!" I said as I walked towards her and hugged her.
"You're welcome, and im glad you liked it" She said in response.
"Now time for our gifts." Danny said as she casted a spell that sent their gifts flying towards them.
My eyes got wide as I opened their gifts.
Danny gave me a cute new pair of shirts and Rina gave me a new set of books, which I can't wait to read.
They surely do know me and my tastes.
"Well since we're done with the gifts, I think it's..."
"PREPPING TIME!" Danni and Rina shouted at the same time which resulted to Sarah, grimacing and covering her ears.
"Can you go any louder than that? Urghhh, seriously." I said to both of them as I picked up all my gifts and placed it in my bed.
Well, you see, every year, it's like a tradition for the three of us that whenever one of us have a birthday, we get to prepare and do her make up, well, unfortunately, it was my birthday, so you get the picture now.
As if not hearing me, Rina went and shut the door and went to my vanity mirror, areanging something while Danni went on my wardrobe and started to pick some clothes.
"So, what am I supposed to do then?" Sarah asked not actually knowing what's going on.
"Oh, you can go and get changed, don't worry, we're good here." Rina said.
"Okay. Well, just call me if you need help with anything." and with that, Sarah left for the bathroom.

It was quite awhile and the prepping was already done. Thank Gawd!
"Well, I guess our work's done here." Dina said, looking me up and down and finally gave me a satisfied look.
"Yeah, well, we better get going, we still need to get prepped also. See you both at the hall!" Rina said and with that, they both left our room.
I went towards the mirror and checked out myself. I was still wearing my uniform, as usual, since it's school day, but Dina also picked out an outfit, which she said, I'm going to wear for later. The outfit was laid out in my bed.
It was a Black liquid leggings, with a plain white v-neck top with matching black leather jacket and also, a black Doc Martens Boots. So much for loving black, I thought. But the outfit was kinda cute though.
Now with my hair, Rina arranged my hair in a way that it was curled but in a wavy way. She applied a little bit of make up, since I insisted because I must say, I'm not really a fan of blushes and lipsticks, I always prefer natural as much as possible, so she just gave me what I wanted- the natural makeup look- and I was quite happy with how I look.
When I was done checking myself out, I noticed that Sarah was already done and was also starring me up and down.
I snapped my finger in her face and it seems like she was a bit takem aback.
"Are you checking me out?" I asked in a joking manner and faking an unbelievable look.
"Wha-? Shut up!" She said and I can't help but laugh at her expression. "Im sorry, but I prefer balls than puss." She added and we both laughed out loud.
We were about to get out of the room when Sarah noticed something.
"Hey, aren't you going to read that letter?" She said, pointing to the folded paper that was laying at the top of my bedside table.
I slapped my forhead because I nearly forgot about Draco's letter. I grabbed the paper and began to read it.
Happy Birthday Sammantha.
Im at the common room.
I have something for you.
I will be waiting for you there.

"What does it say?" Sarah asked
"He says he's waiting for me at the common room"
"Well, come on then, dont want to keep pretty boy waiting" She said and gave me a wink.

"Awww, that is so cute!" Sarah gushed beside me as she continue to stare down at the golden bracelet that's wrapped around my left hand.
We were currently at the Great Hall, munching on our breakfast.
The reason why Draco wanted to meet me earlier, was to greet me and give me this bracelet.
Honestly, I'm not really surprised that he gave me something so costly as a golden bracelet, knowing him and his family's wealth.
But I can't also deny that I loved it.
It was the same bracelet that I saw down at Diagon Alley right before school started, it was a limited edition kind of bracelet, so who am I, not to love it?
"What's this gushing all about?" Rina suddenly appeared right next to me with Dani right by her side, who quickly started to put, everything in her plate and munch on them.
I can't help but cringed when I saw Dani, which Rina quickly noticed.
"Oh, don't worry, it's just her hormones causing her to eat a lot." Rina stated, matter-of-factly, but I still didn't get her explanation.
"It's her time-of-the-month!"Rina answered, frustrated.
My lips formed an 'O' once I got what she was saying.
"Wait, I see something new in here." Rina said emphasizing the last word as she lifted up my hand with the bracelet.
"Oh yeah, Draco-"
"Draco gave it to her!" Sarah cut me off and I rolled my eyes at her and just then, my eyes landed at the Gryffindor table right where the Golden trio was seated.
That was odd.
I thought to myself as I began to notice George and Lee seating right next to them, with Fred, nowhere to be found.
Then I just remembered, maybe he was with that good for nothing girl, Angelina Johnson.
After that encounter at Hogsmeade, I never saw Fred as often.
We would just constantly
I felt my heart cringe as the thought of the two of them together crossed my mind and just then, different scenarios and things started to form inside my head which just made me feel even worse.
I didn't know that I was looking far too long on their table it was only when I felt something flew towards me that I snapped my attention from them.
I looked in front of me to see a familiar brown owl and just right then, I knew where it came from.
My parents.
A medium sized box was sitting right under the owl's feet. I wasted no time and pulled away the box and took the letter that was attached to the owl's beak.
I took a small piece of bread from my plate and gave it to the owl and then it left.
I started to open the letter and it read...
To our dearest Sammantha,
First of all, your father and I wanted to greet you a Happy Happy Birthday. We miss you so much sweetie and we're hoping that you'll come home soon. We hope you're also doing well there in Hogwarts? How are you and Draco?
By the way, we got a little something for you. It's in the box. It's not much but we hope you will love it.

I closed the letter and placed it in my pocket and I picked up the box and started to unwrap it.
Inside was a piece of shiny gold watch.
It was very beautiful and my parents, saying 'its not much' would be a lie. I knew this cost way too much.
After a few chats and gush from my friends with the gift that i recieved from my parents, we've decided to walk to our respective classes.
Hours just pasaed by in a blur and before I knew it, all of my classes were done.
A lot of friends from slytherins and a few from other houses greeted me - in the hallway, in class, in the common room - but im still waiting for something, or rather someone and i dont know why.
I should stop expecting.
This is my day and I should be enjoying it, I should stop thinking about things that would just ruin my mood.
I've decided to go to back to my room and write a letter to my parents.
Once I was done, I changed into a pair of tight black skinny jeans and a tanktop and put on my boots.
I grabbed my black trench coat and my brown knitted scarf and put it on.
After I was done, I decided to go up to the owlery so that I can have my letter delivered to my parents.
I put both my hands on in my jacket's pocket as I walked up the stairs leading to the owlery. It's a good thing that I put on a jacket since it was really windy up in here.
Once I reached the top, i called out for my owl, Alli and ordered her to deliver my mail.
I watched as she slowly flew away until she was out of my sight and decided to head back to the castle.
When I was about to turn around, I felt something move beside the entry to the owlery so I did what i thought vest and I slowly walked over towards the entrance to see who it was. I got my wand ready in my hands just in case what i'll be seeing is not good news.
As I approached, I can hear low scratches and a sound that is all too familiar and when I get to peak and see who or rather, what it was, I was surprised to see a rabbit. Well not just any rabbit, but the rabbit that Fred and I took care of. I knew because I gave it a small choker with a metal plate and it's name on it. Yes I named her. Yes 'her' because we found out it was a girl. I named her 'Mrs.Bunny' I know so clichè.
But what is Mrs.Bunny doing here? Shouldnt she be in Fred's room? Nevermind I might as well take care of her this time. Besides, its been a long time since I saw Mrs.Bunny.
"Come here you little cutie."
I was about to pick her up when she suddenly jumped her way down the stairs. Not a second later that I realized that Mrs.Bunny was escaping and I needed to catch her before she goes out into the woods and get herself lost and hurt again.
Well I dont know how long I have been chasing Mrs.Bunny because next thing I know, I was getting a bit tired and worn out and I was struggling to catch my breath from chasing and I swear, I was near on giving up and just turn around and head back to the castle and hope for the best that she would come back.
Just then, Mrs.Bunny came into a stop.
"Finally!" I said.
I put both my hands on my knees as i was struggling to catch my breath. Thats when I realized where we are.
I turned around to see that I was in the middle of nowhere.
And when I say nowhere, as in dont know where it is and dont know which way I came from.
I was too busy tracking down Mrs.Bunny and keeping up with her pace to even think about which way I was going. And now Im dead.
I put both my hands in my head in exhaustion and took in a deep breath and exhaled.
I looked over to Mrs.Bunny who was just a meter away from me and she started to move again.
"Oh no, not again please!" I just said to particularly no one, hoping it would stop the rabbit from escaping from me again.
But instead of her fast phase earlier, she was as if trying to make me follow her because of her slow phase. Curiousity got into me so I decided to walk slowly, following her path. Thats when I noticed a big oak tree in the middle of a clearing.
Yes we are in a middle of a clearing, the ground was covered in soft grass and different types of flowers. Ive never seen something so beautiful as this. At the far end of the clearing lays a small lake that shimmered as the light of the sun setting hits it surface and a small boat was resting at the edge of the lake. Everything was just so magical.
But wait, whats a small boat doing in there? Are there people around? Maybe I can find some help in going back to the castle.
But then I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt a small tug on my foot. I looked down to see Mrs.Bunny trying to catch my attention by biting on my shoes in which she was successful at and then she started to jump again towards the big oak tree in the middle of the clearing.
A curious look was etched on my face as I followed Mrs.Bunny's way. Once I got under the tree, I saw a small envelop hung in one of its branches.
I took a small step forwards so as to take a closer look at it. And thats when I noticed that it has my name on it.
I slowly tugged on the envelop to remove it from being hung on the tree trunk and I slowly opened it.
Inside was a moving picture of me, I was at the courtyard and I smiling at something. Who took a picture of me, I dont know. And then I found a note under the picture saying...
'Did the sun shine or did you just smiled at me.'
I small smile crossed my lips. Wow. Cheesy. I thought to myself.
Then I felt a tug on my jeans once again and it was Mrs.Bunny. She started to jump several steps forward and came into a stop.
Thats when I noticed something right above where Mrs.Bunny stopped.
Another envelope.
Great.
Inside was yet another picture of me but this time it wasn't me it was of Professor Mcgonagall morphing into a cat. My brows furrowed as I saw the picture.
Below was yet another note,saying..
'If I were a cat, I would spend my whole 9 lives with you.'
I laughed at this.
"Seriously?" I said.
Who in their right mind would take a picture of Mcgonagall and put a cheesy caption below?
Then I noticed another envelope hung at the other end of the tree.
Once again, I picked up the envelope and open it. And guess what? Yep another picture but this time it was of a map and another note says...
'Do you have a map? Coz im getting lost in your eyes'
"No I dont." I answered even though I knew it was just some pick up lines.
And just then another envelope emerged from my line of site and yep, I picked it up.
"Oh great another envelope! Hurrah!" Notice sarcasm.
I slowly opened the envelope and inside was a picture of me sitting at the Library, the sun shining straight into me as I was sitting and reading something I seem to be very deep into my reading because I didnt notice someone taking a picture of me.
I think this is sweet but at the same time, a bit creepy. Like, hello? Who the eff took these pictures? And how come I dont notice?
A note was written under it as usual and it says...
'Do you believe in love at first sight or should I just walk past again?'
"Try walking past again, I might believe then" Note sarcasm again.
"Do you believe now?" A deep voice said and I jumped and screamed in surprise.
