i woke up from my sleep, and found a diffrent uniform on my table today. there was an olive t shirt, light brown, baggy pants and some knee length boots. i don't know what was with these today, but i didn't hesitate to put them on. i got changed in front of the mirror, and once i was in the clothes, i gazed at myself in them for a while, how good i looked in this kind of stuff, then i came out of dream land and back to reality. i walked over to my bed side table to turn my screen back to the capitol, when my sisters scout hat caught my eye. i admired it for a while and picked it up, i kissed it on the side and said " i will do you proud sis" i said with a tear falling down my face.
i came out of my room and walked down the corridor to find sully in the same sort of clothes to! " you in those clothes to?" i asked him while walking up the stairs " yeah, all the tributes are wearing these kind of things today" he said and went back to his meal. when i walked up i saw everything! i mean like every single food id had since i got here, right on the table! i sat down straight away and dug in " whoa don't eat to much " hame said to me " why not" i said " the games are today, you cant go in there with a full stomach or an empty one" hame said, and as he did, i lowered my spoon and stopped eating " wha- what did you say?" i said startled "don't go into the arena with a full or empty stomach" he replied " the games, are on today?!" i said " yes, why do you think you are in these clothes" hame said, but i didn't reply, i just pushed away my food. " well on another note, how wa-was everyone-s sleep-p" carisse said, but half way through her sentence she started to stutter, was it because i looked at her? maybe, because still she didn't wake me up to tell me what my score was, so i wasn't in the best mood with her " why the stutter carisse?" i said with a grin, i think she knew what i was doing. " um-mm nothing" she said and went back to her food " sure there is, maybe you would like to get something off your chest, share it with us" i said with a evil grin " no, nothing to do with your sc-oore!" she said like she was actually trying to tell me my training score (like literally) " you didn't remind me to wake me up and tell me my score!" i yelled at her " i forgot!" she yelled back " why the hell would you forget!" i shouted at her slamming my hands on the table and standing up " because i don't think you would want to know your low score!" she shouted and gasped at herself, covering her mouth.there was a silence for about 10 seconds, then hame stood up and took me away " um, shall we be on our way?" hame said not hesitating to drag me to the elevators.
we were in the elevator by ourselves, just me and hame and he pressed the button that said "arena", he still had his hand around my shoulder, i didn't want it on there it made me feel uncomfortable, so i wriggled it off. then hame rolled his eyes " look tarny, i know you were upset with carisse, but she did the right thing to keep your score a secret" hame said, then my eyes shot at him, he looked right in my bright blue eyes as i said " no she didn't! its called YOUR score for a reason! so I can view it! just tell me what it is!" i said with my eyes fixing on him " fine you want to know! you got a 2! you happy a 2!" he said breathing heavily, my mouth just dropped, i was meant to be happy, but i felt sad, this was my plan, why was i sad? just think happy thoughts, it will be OK i said to myself.
the elevator stopped, and we walked out, i kept walking when hame stopped, i walked to the door that said " female tribute D5" that was for me to meet owlson before i enter the arena. hame started to talk nervously as i walked away " win, win please" he said as i walked away, i lifted my hand as a wave, but didn't turn around " bye." i said rudely, why was i rude, I'm never rude, but i think hame pushed me to the limit keeping MY score a secret. i really couldnt think of negative things before i was going in to a negative place. while that crossed my mind, i was wondering what arena this year would be, i was hoping it was my sisters one, hers was good.
i walked into the room, and saw owlson " ah you look beautiful, but your hair is frustrating, let me get that" owlson said with no hesitation, he just pulled out my hair, and put a loose pony tail down my back. my hair is short so it didn't go far. "ah even more beautiful" he said rubbing his hands together, i just gave him a look and looked away. " 60 seconds to launch" a voice form above said. i was so scared now, i was actually shaking and i couldn't stop it, i had no control. " OK, so this might be our last time together" owlson said like he was going to do something really awkward " so..." owlson said and opened his arms, and arkwardly hugged me, i didn't know what to do, should i hug back? maybe i should to make him feel better, so i did, and i was still shaking, i think i made him vibrate to. " 30 seconds to launch" the girl said, i looked at owlson, with a tear running down my cheek " shh, shh your going to be fine " he said bringing me into another hug, i think he was getting the hang of this hugging thing " 10 seconds to launch" the girl said. i walked over to the tube so slow,and when i got in i turned around and starred at him i had no emotion on me, just tears running down my face, he was speaking and saying something i tried to work it out, when i did he said to wipe away the tears, and i did as so, then the tube started to rise and i looked up, it was as bright as the sun.
when i got to the top we were in a place that looked exactly like my sisters years arena, but then when i got a better look they were dry trees, it wasn't a rain forest, it was just a dry forest. had the trees and everything but the trees were like gum trees, in a forest. the count down had started, this was my chance to find the weapons to go for, then a little voice in the back of my head saying " go for the bag on the outsides" then my eyes fixed on the outside of the cornucopia, and i saw a bag, and just a few metres away from it was some knives! yes this could be my chance.
the countdown hit 20, and i fixed my eyes on one of the bags on the outside of the cornucopia, it was red, and the weapons were close.GONG. the thing went off i ran for the bag and the weapons and grabbed them and ran out of there. i think i might of been the first one in there. i looked back and my eyes latched on makaloye, she slit a girls wrist, causing her to go, then looked at me and got her thumb up to her neck and pulled it across. my eyes widened, i knew what she meant, she said she was going to kill me. i ran out straight away, and my eyes spotted a lake, i think this is where sully,coco and me would meet. so i ran in and got into the forest, i was only centimetres away, until the girl from 10 jumped on me, and she pinned me to the ground, she had her foot on my feet stopping me from, moving " you thought appearing weak would let you be alone? well you were wrong, i know your plan, and I'm going home not you" she said and pulled out her dagger, but before she did i kicked her leg with my free leg and she flipped right off me right onto her back, then i drew my knife from the side of my back pack and stabbed her right in the chest while still laying on my back. the boom went off for her, and she was dead.
i was huffing and puffing still but i couldn't for long, another tribute was coming and i had to get out of there. i grabbed my back pack and the weapons, and bolted for the river. when i was there i spotted 2 other tributes, i think they were Allys, cause they pointed at me, and the girl drew her bow and arrow, and pointed it at me, but then they dropped to the floor, how? but it was coco and sully on the other side of the river. i waved and swam over, when i got over there they helped me out of the water and we all hugged each other " i thought you 2 were gone!" i yelled at them pulling away " well we obviously aren't" coco said with a laugh " we should be looking for shelter" sully said" where though" i said back " hm, over there, that cave" sully said "what cave?" me and coco said at the same time " exactly" he said with a smile.
