"Who is she?"
Standing in the studios with Helena dressed as Elizabeth Taylor wearing a huge fur coat Johnny could hear the bitterness to her tone. Jessica smith was his ex girlfriend that had been staying in London the last week and so came to visit him. Johnny had entertained the idea of Jessica coming back holing in a little way it might make Helena slightly jealous.
Jessica had cheated on Johnny a while ago now. They had been dating for a few months until he found her in bed with someone else. At the time it had hurt, but now he didn't care if he used her to get at Helena. Even now she was stood with the producer laughing away and touching his arm. What Johnny ever saw in her he didn't know. Yes she was beautiful and attractive, yes she had the longest legs and a gorgeous toned body but she was sex crazed. She could never be faithful and he new that, but it didn't matter as there was only one person he wanted here and that was the woman standing in front of him.
Helena eyed the blonde much longer then necessary as she place on some earrings. "My ex, Jessica...she was about town and so I said I'd take her for a coffee after we finish here today" he said secretly enjoying the way Helena looked down at the floor as if she was uncomfortable with the idea.
"I see" she said not understanding herself why it annoyed her. Johnny wasn't hers, he could do what he liked. But for some reason she didn't like the idea of him with another woman, she wanted him to be happy but seeing that beautiful blonde made her...
No she wasn't jealous that was ridiculous.
"Hel?" He pushed seeing she was a little lost in thought.
"Hmm?...oh sorry yes I'm ready" with that she walked over to the set ready for the scene they were filming today. Johnny smiled inwardly to himself knowing she seemed a little off and for that he was secretly enjoying watching her get a little irritated by Jessica being here. This could be fun....
As he headed onto set Helena was sat in the 'dressing room' they were shooting the scene in. It was the last scene of Burton and Taylor which was quite a heartbreaking scene between the two characters. In fact the lines hit home a little, it was like they were the new Burton and Taylor of this generation same story line and everything. It was kind of weird how their lives reflected their characters in so many ways. They were Burton and Taylor.
As he joined her he smiled at how she seemed a little on edge. She was so adorable right now he just wanted to lift her chin and kiss those sweet lips of hers. He really did love her, Johnny couldn't deny that anymore but he had fallen hard for this woman.
"Last scene.." he said softly sitting on the dressing room table beside her. She looked up at him from the seat she was sat at and placed her hand in his.
"I'll miss you Johnny" she was looking at him so sadly as if they were being parted forever.
Smirking at her he placed his hand over hers and shook his head. "I'm not leaving London right away Hellie, and I told you I'd be at your engagement party..." he explained as her eyes flickered down to the floor sadly "oh yes...that"
He frowned a little at her words just before the bell rang for everyone to get ready for shooting. As everyone got in their places Helena moved her hand from Johnny's slowly. What she was feeling all of a sudden had surprised her. She didn't want to lose him again, didn't want him to go back to America didn't want him getting back with his ex. But she also knew she couldn't be with him, she still loved David very much. However a part of her knew she wanted Johnny by her side, just like Richard Burton needed Elizabeth she felt the same about Johnny.
"Places everyone" David called before sitting in his directors chair.
-You need help, Elizabeth.
You know that, don't you?
-Yes.
-I say that as someone who...
-No, I know, you've got your help.
I understand, and I'm happy for you.
No, I am. Really.
- I'm sure Victor would...
- Oh, we'll see.
-I love you, Richard.
I always will.
The way she said her lines and looked at him so full of love Johnny believed her. It seemed so real. He couldn't help but think maybe there was a hidden truth behind her lines, maybe she was telling him something. Or he was being to naive...
- You want me to say it, don't you?
- Yes, please.
-Of course I love you.
-Don't say any more.
I just wanna hear the first bit, okay?
-We're addicts, Elizabeth, you and I.
-What?
-It's what King Lear's all about,
that's why I wanna do it so much.
About the need we all have
for drugs of one kind or another.
Without which we'd crumble.
-What drugs?
-Kingship, power, love...
- Love is not a drug.
- Isn't it?
-I don't know,
but you can have too much.
Until just a sip
takes you beyond and ravages you.

for a while.
I just didn't want to admit it.
-I'm gonna miss you.
Helena's eyes began to get teary at this point as she looked at him. Johnny couldn't tell if the lines she was saying actually had an impacted on them and the fact she didn't want him to go back to America. He felt in his heart that she was really feeling the same about their relationship. There was that unspoken bond between them that seemed to be swept aside and yet they both knew it was there. So pure, so beautiful.
- I'm gonna miss you.
- No, no, no, love.
-I couldn't manage that, either.
I love Sally, Elizabeth.
My time is with her now.
But I need you in my life as well.
I can't ever be completely apart
from you again.
-Right, so you want me close but not...
Not too close?
-I'm sorry, I'm bloody hopeless.
-Yeah, you're bloody hopeless.

Pouting in irritation at the dinner table Helena stabbed her fork into her steak and cut it vigorously as she watched Johnny flirting with his ex. David had decided to take her and Johnny out to celebrate their last day of filming. It had been a long day and a tough day for Helena in particular as she felt emotionally drained. Her last scene with Johnny had effected her more then she thought it would. Not only had they had to break up on camera but it had hit her hard this afternoon that like Elizabeth would lose Richard to another woman but she too could lose Johnny to his ex.
Not that she wanted Johnny or had Johnny to lose but something about Jessica grated on her. She didn't like seeing Johnny with anyone else, as selfish as that was...
Jessica was such a bloody flirt, she hadn't kept her hands off him all evening. She had been over Johnny like a rash and he too didn't seem to mind which bothered her. Why she didn't know. She kept asking herself that very question but yes she did feel slightly bitter towards them both and for that she was frustrated.
Sitting beside David she watched as Johnny laughed away with his ex on the opposite side of the table. Luckily David couldn't see the stare she was giving the pair of them as he was sat beside her. She was sure David would catch on if he was sitting opposite and for that she didn't want him asking why...
She didn't even know why. But for starters she thought he could do better. Yes Jessica was beautiful, she's a model for heavens sake but she was so tarty. She was even flirting with David across the table as well which had Helena giving Johnny hard stares.
"Helena you're such a brilliant actress" Jessica gushed suddenly making her glance at the blonde with a fake smile painted across her red lips.
Johnny smirked to himself loving how Helena was acting, he so wanted to tease her about it. He could see she wasn't a fan of Jessica, not one bit. He also knew Helena had her eyes on them most of the evening, he could literally feel a hole being burned in the side of his head.
"Thank you" she said with little enthusiasm.
"No seriously I've been watching you since I was a teenager" the back handed complement had Johnny holding back a laugh seeing Helena's face drop. She had a good mind to kick Johnny under the table hearing him crease slightly.
"How old are you?" Helena blurted out with no thought. David turned to his fiancée surprised by the random question and awkward one at that.
"20" Jessica grinned wrapping her hands around Johnny's arm and smiling at him sweetly as she leaned into his side. "But age doesn't matter does it baby" she said squeezing his arm.
Helena looked at Johnny and watched as he sipped at his glass of red wine. She was just staring at him as if she wanted to throttle him which was so amusing in his eyes. She was so sexy when jealous it was rather a turn on.
"No it doesn't" he replied his eyes glued on Helena's who was staring at him in announce.
"I'm glad you're happy...we are" David said running his arm around Helena's shoulders and kissing her temple. She smiled timidly in response and cleared her throat feeling a little awkward.
"Excuse me one moment, I need some air" with that she stood from the table and grabbed her clutch bag before walking off. Johnny sat back in his chair for a moment wanting to chase after her but he didn't want to look to obvious.
"Should I go see if she's okay?" David looked concerned and for that Johnny pushed himself up and smiled towards him. "I'll go"
With that he wiped his mouth on his napkin and headed off out of the restaurant. He headed down the hallway and the outside onto the open terrance.
He spotted Helena standing lighting up a cigarette. She looked so beautiful this evening wearing a dark black dress that hugged her small waist and cupped her perfect behind and bosom. He walked out to join her and pulled out his own pack of cigarettes . "Can I join?"
Glancing his way she watched him light up his own before standing beside her. "Enjoying your evening?" He asked looking out at the gardens of this restaurant with the smallest of smiles gracing his smug lips.
"You're pissing me off Johnny and you know it" she said bluntly which had him smirking whilst bringing the cigarette to his lips.
"You're not jealous are you?"
Tilting her head his way she glared at him and put out her cigarette on a near by ash tray. "Don't be ridiculous" she spat making him laugh.
"Then what?"
Turning to look at him she crossed her arms at the chill in the air and sighed when his eyes flickered down to her breasts now squeezed close together as she was cold. "Because she's no good for you, she's flirting with everything that moves...even my fiancée"
"She's just friendly" he defended knowing full well his plan of making her jealous was working. He was not interested in Jessica one bit. He didn't care if he was 'using' her as she had slept with one of his best friends.
"You deserve someone who loves you, not for your money or fame but for you" she said truthfully making him smile towards her before putting out his cigarette.
Walking towards her he ran his hands up her arms and moved closer looking into her lovely brown eyes. "Are you trying to tell me something?"
Rolling her eyes she pushed him off and headed back into the restaurant.
He knew now she liked him back. Knew now she maybe having second thoughts about her engagement. He would be lying if he said he wasn't happy. He just wondered how long it would take for her to break.
Heading back into the restaurant Johnny sat back down next to Jessica and glanced at Helena sitting opposite him. He couldn't help but smirk towards her, her eyes immediately looked else where hating that he was teasing her so much. She didn't know how she felt anymore about anything or anymore.
"So was it hard playing lovers in this movie?" Jessica asked out right very causally sipping at her drink.
"What do you mean?" Johnny asked looking her way as she frowned towards him. "You told me you and Helena dated"
Suddenly the table went silent and Helena felt as if her heart was in her throat. David frowned between them and looked towards his fiancée in confusion. She could feel the shift of mood and it was extremely uncomfortable.
"Is this true?" He sounded upset.
"We were only kids..." Johnny suddenly cut in trying to make it less awkward and more causal. He could see in Helena's face how uneasy she looked. Clearly she hadn't told David about their past.
"Did I say something wrong" Jessica said awkwardly making Helena smile her way politely and shake her head.
"Johnny and I went to school together, we were somewhat childhood sweethearts" Helena finally spoke up reaching forward for her glass of wine to take a few nervous sips. Oh how this was embarrassing.
"I see" David said glancing at Johnny.
"I was only 15...young and foolish....can hardly remember" she lied and Johnny knew she was lying too. He could see in her eyes and the way she sipped at her wine that it wasn't true...
"How sweet" David said rather coldly which had Helena feeling nervous. She knew she probably should have told him the truth however what good would it have done. Johnny might not of even got the part if David knew.
"But you're both happy now..?" Jessica giggled running her hands around Johnny's arm and leaning her head on his shoulder.
Helena glanced at Johnny for a moment before braving a smile toward David and taking his hand in hers "Yes...very happy"
