I'm Emily.
I am not like the girls you read about on this app. I am not light as a feather, nor do I have flowing hair or an hourglass figure or full lips. I am the heaviest person I know, I have thin mousy brown hair, I am round and the only thing thin about me is my lips. I don't have a strong jawline or perfect skin and I'm as pale as the fucking moon. I am not dainty in any sense of the word.
Those are the things I am not.
But here are the things that I am.
I am funny, intelligent, kind, brave and beautiful.
A lot of people would laugh if they heard me call myself beautiful. They are wrong. I am beautiful because that is how I choose to perceive myself. I may not be society's preferred version of beautiful but why should that control me? Do you really want to allow your thoughts to be morphed and moulded by a bodiless voice you can't even agree with? If you are a decent person, you would never tell someone that they need to change their weight or that they should think about putting on a face mask once in a while. So don't let yourself fall into that trap - you are better than that.
