I choose to be happy, I choose to be free
I choose to be nobody; I choose to be me.
Regardless of my ethics and skin tone,
I choose to be wrong just to feel right
I choose to be Muslim, I choose to be Christian
I deserve the truth, I choose the light
I shun the darkness, I choose to see
Outweigh the good with the bad
I choose to be a looser, I choose to be a winner
I choose to be a lover, I choose to be a fighter
Learn to fight for what I truly desire
Stand for something and live for it
I choose to slave away just to become a master
I choose to go through the pain just to obtain my gain
I choose to make a name just to run away from the shame
I choose to chase for the riches just to run away from the poverty
I wish to live long yet I deserve to die.
For my humanity is not mine to choose.
