I love to keep you guys up-to-date on what I am inspired by, and this past chapter was inspired by two things.

First, the dream aspect of the dream was inspired by the beginning of this scene from the Anastasia musical:

Second, the environment and place Kate finds herself in in her dream was inspired by part of the book A Dance of Silver and Shadow, the first book in the Beyond the Four Kingdoms series by Melanie Cellier:

I am really into this series right now and highly recommend it if you like The Selection!
