Y O U

"Jisoo-ah..." She lifted her head, eyes slowly meeting mine.

"Y/N..." Tears streamed down to her cheeks, flowing harder like a waterfall.

She's still pretty even though she was crying. Who dares to make an angel like her cry? Again, she's the angel who left my side though I told her to stay. Why would she come back?

I shook the thoughts away and marched toward her almost immediately. I held her by the arms, squeezing them tight.

"W-what's going on? W-what h-happened?" Instead of answering, she cried even louder.

I pulled her up from the floor, "Hey, hey, shush Stop crying." I pulled her head, rested over my shoulder.

"Let's go inside and talk, shall we?"

__

"He cheated on you?!" Jisoo quietly nodded. No longer crying though her eyes were still teary.

That fucking bastard. How dare he cheated on such a gorgeous girl like her? Who did he think he is? Let me chop that D and fed it to the dog.

"Stop crying. Save your tears for someone who deserves it."

See? I told you he's a jerk. I may not be experienced in a relationship. I mean, I never dated anyone else other than Hoseok so.

But I can guarantee that I can read most people, whether they're good or they're bad.

Most people except Yoongi perhaps. He's so unpredictable. Then again, he may not be a person, he may not be a human. That will explain how I wasn't able to read him like an open book.

"I'm so sorry for not listening." Jisoo croaked and inside my head, I was like

'I told you so!'

But what's the point on rubbing salt on her open wound? That's not what our friendships for.

"No, I'm sorry for not trying to understand you better. I should have never raised my voice at that time." Yeah, when I told her that Junho was your classic playboy, I was yelling at her who wasn't listening.

Maybe if I lowered my temper and voice at that time, she might be listening. I mean... She's in love after all. I should've known that feeling very well.

Everything he did must be perfect in her eyes. Just like how Hoseok used to be in mine.

I should've understood her better.

"No, no, you are right, I was dumb, totally a fool. It was my fault. Y-you were... just care." I shook my head and carefully caressed her wet cheek with my thumb.

We both sat and cuddle with each other on the couch, the TV was playing a random show we could care less.

"Thank you..." Jisoo muttered.

"Thank you for what?" I questioned back.

She looked up at me before hugging me tightly

"Thank you for still accepting me back."

"There is no one named Min Yoongi in the music major. But these are the list of other Yoongi from the music and other majors. Maybe you'll find him in one." Seojoon handed Taehyung two pages of clipped paper, all names printed in black ink.

The brunette took it and read it back and forth.

Lee Yoongi. Song Yoongi. Jang Yoongi. But no Min Yoongi.

"Are you sure?" Taehyung cocked one his eyebrows while Seojoon lightly nodded as he sucked his lollipop.

"Uhum. That's all we got." The older replied.

Taehyung let out an exasperated sigh as Seojoon smiled gently at him.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Go and check them out one by one. I think a day wouldn't be enough." He cheered.

The brunette frowned. He already got a bad feeling from this result. If Min Yoongi never belonged to the music major...

If Min Yoongi had never belonged to this campus at all.

Then...

"Who are you, Min Yoongi?"

__

"Y/N-ah!" I saw Jisoo jogged toward me, waving her hand excitedly.

A wide grin spread across my face.

"Morning!" I waved back at her before she came and slang her arm around my neck.

I really missed this interaction with her. She's all that I got other than Taehyung. I didn't have so many friends so when I have them, I treasured them. Thankfully I got my lost treasure back.

After a long night chit-chat, we caught up on so many things.

She apologized for not being there when Hoseok broke up with me. She said she felt bad but didn't know how to approach me when she was still with Junho while our relationship had turned cold.

She also asked how were me and Taehyung, which I told were great. He's still my loyal friend. Though my answer brought Jisoo's eyebrows knitted together for a reason I didn't know.

"Do you know that Taehyung li-- nevermind." She cut her speech and shook her head. Brought me curious about what she was going to say.

"We have to go to karaoke today, call?! You can bring Tae too!" Jisoo chirped.

I nodded my head and giggled. "We have to sing Let's kill this love by Blackpink!" I suggested which earned a loud clap from Jisoo.

"Yash! Nation song to my freedom from that cheater!" Jisoo shouted.

I looked around and realized that many people eyes had already on us. I swear to God, Jisoo had never changed Her quirky and don't give a damn to her surrounding remained the same.

"Sshhhh! Okay, okay, chill sis. Don't shout!" She pouted her lips cutely.

As we walked toward our campus gate, our eyes landed at the crowd in front of the church next to our building.

"Hey, let's go there! See what's going on!" Jisoo pulled my hand toward the church.

We both squeezed ourself between the crowd of black attire people before finally got a glimpse of what's going on inside.

There was a picture of the pastor I met like two days ago, held by a boy who has a younger version of his face.

"What's going on?" Jisoo asked a stranger girl next to her while I was still busy grasping on what's going on as my eyes fixed on the wooden coffin behind the boy.

"Pastor Choi had passed away two days ago. He got a heart attack at night and no one was there to see it coming."

I widened my eyes almost immediately.

Two days ago?

It was the day when I met him.

He looked just fine so how come?!

"It's nice to have someone to talk within the lonely world."

If I had stayed a bit longer, talking to him a bit more. Would I be there to help him? Would he still be alive by now?

I couldn't help but to feel the guilt crawling underneath my skin.

N-no... this couldn't be happening! He was just fine and healthy the first time I met him.

Never knew that it would be the last... His last summer.

I shifted my eyes back to the younger boy who held the middle-aged pastor picture whilst crying.

"Who is that boy?" Jisoo questioned, pointing her finger at the boy who slowly walked toward us, toward the huge door with people who brought the coffin behind him.

"His son." We both gasped at the revelation.

The group of mourning tried to pass by the crowd, who then separated their way like the red sea, opening a path in the middle.

"B-but h-he's a Catholic..." I muttered as my eyes fixed on the boy that's now walking in front of me, passing the crowd, lowering his head. Then I saw him holding a crinkled letter as he held his father's picture dearly.

The stranger girl in all black attire stared back at us before saying,

"He's his secret son. Himself just knew who his father was when he's already dead."

Now my eyes landed on the closed wooden coffin. There laid the pastor whom I me just two days ago.

I felt blood drained out of my body. Flinched as the thunder suddenly struck above us. I could smell the earth as the cold breeze suddenly brushed my skin. I shivered at the sudden change of temperature.

"It's going to rain!" Jisoo grabbed my wrist.

Soon a few droplets of water dripped on top of my head as I let Jisoo pulled me back toward the campus building.

The summer rain soon washed all over us. As if the sky was mourning along for the pastor's sudden death.

__

The rain had stopped a while when I stepped my feet outside the library. It was already noon, a few hours after the sad event I just saw earlier in the morning.

I was spacing out as I held a few books tightly close to my chest.

I still couldn't believe this was actually happening. The pastor had passed away, him who reminded me of my dead dad.

I couldn't help but empathize at his son. I knew his feeling very well.

Maybe I should go and visit his grave, at least to pay one last time gratitude to him.

Maybe I shall talk to his son too... I think he really needed someone who will understand at the very moment.

Yeah, I should!

I quickly marched out of the campus gate and ran across the street when I saw the traffic light had turned red and some cars and stopped by.

I have to see the burial now or never.

But as I passed the white lines painted on top of the asphalt, I heard somebody screamed,

"Watch out!" And when I deadly stopped on my track and looked over my right.

Will this also be my last summer as well?
