As we walk back inside, the bitch in me is lying dormant. Why am I so nervous? Come on you bitch, come out to help me. Shaking my head, I glance up to see Ice talking, he glances at me, with a smile so big it must hurt his face.
That smile makes the nervousness leave. As I see his eyes, I can see that this is going to be ok. We are going to be ok now. That man was my best friend before the club was formed. I loved working dispatch for the trucking company, and then I met Ice, we got to know each other and started hanging out. Became close friends. I was separated from the biker, so I was enjoying my life. Then stupid me, went back to him. He was jealous at first of my friendship with Ice, but he soon realized we were only friends. So many times I wished I'd never went back to him.
But I guess we all have those kinds of regrets.
I know that I have to apologize to Talon for the way I treated him. And to also deny the instant pull I felt from him. How can I feel this way and know nothing about this man?
