Nandini(Confidently) : Mr. Manik Malhotra , if you think that I'm afraid of this gun then you are highly mistaken.
Manik(Smirking) : Oh...Then What do you think ? Is it me who should be afraid? What will you do?
While Manik is doing his oh-so-favorite smirking session and saying all this crap, I manage to pull a gun lying on the ground near one of the dead bodies, with the help of my leg. I quickly take the gun in my hand ; pointing its muzzle on Manik's head .
N : See, even I can hold a gun in this way. I can also shoot you.
M(Smirking) : Oh please Nandini , You can't. I know that.
N(Smirking) : Nor can you! I know , you can't shoot me.
M : Well , I'm a very skillful shooter. Talking about how much skilled I'm , then in normal words you can say I belong to the SHARP SHOOTER kind. Didn't you see I can alone fight with all of them. And you are saying I can't shoot you!!
N : Yes , although you can shoot all of them , you can't shoot me. You will not shoot me. I strongly believe this.
M(Sighs) : If you trust me this much , then why can't you just tell me the truth?
N(With teary eyes) : Who said that I trust you? Now I just believe you, not trust you. I doubt is it even worth believing you or not.
Manik pulls the gun back , looking into my eyes. I also pull away the gun I'm holding.
N : See Manik, you can't shoot me. And the word truth doesn't suit you Manik. I always had suspicions about you and now it seems like all my suspicions were true. I asked you Manik that if I can trust you...Is this what you meant when you said yes. What is the point of any truth or lie anymore if the person who was so protective about me that even the thought of me being hurt pained him is pointing a gun towards me today?
M : Nandini....
N : No Manik, Not this time. You know what Manik, I know know about that Slide no. 4 of yours. But trust me I won't tell you anything about it.
Because I don't find it important to tell any truth to the person who is not less than world's biggest liar himself! And you call ME a LIAR?! (Sighs)
I don't know what about you is truth and what's a lie...
But now everything about you feels like a lie to me.
You being my Assistant was a Drama?! You being interested in my research work was a lie! It was all about this slide for you, right? You are a skilled shooter. Now , What it accounts for?
I get that , you have some mysterious agenda and you don't want to disclose it. Fine by me. But playing with my feelings ! Was this also a part of this agenda of yours? Tell me Manik, What were the compliments for? What were those assuring forehead kisses for? What was your 'I care for you' for? What was 'You are safe with me' pretense for? Specially when you ultimately wanted to point muzzle of a gun on my head?
M : Nandini...You know about the slide?!....
N : That's all for you right?
Oh Wait....How can I miss the biggest part? What was it about 'your lips attract me'? Why did you do all this , When you knew I had started falling for you ? Was it also a part of that so called important mysterious work which you can't tell me? Oh wait you never said anything as a statement...Everything was a What if for you , right? So tell me Mr. Malhotra , How many lies have you said to me? And how are you related to my parents' murder? How do you know about Aryaman? Because I'm no more believing in your Alluring Prevarications.
M : If you were already suspicious about me , then Why you trusted this person who's supposedly involved in your parents's murder? Huh! I can't even say 'Trust me Nandini, I'm not' because you don't seem to trust me anymore. Okay. I accept that there are a lot of things about me which you don't know.I accept that I have a gun. I accept that I was behind those slides all the time. I also accept that I have lied to you many times but it is not true that whatever I said was completely a lie!
N(Narrowing her eyes) : You actually think that you can get along with this crappy explanation?
M : Nandini, Please, this is not the time for this argument. We can talk about this later. But right now Navya's life is in danger. We can save her but I need that slide for that.
N : And you think I'll tell YOU about it.
M(Convincingly) : I want to save your best friend , Why wouldn't you tell me?
N(As-a-matter-of-fact tone) : Please Manik, I have seen you killing people. Although they were goons, but How can a person be a killer and a savior at the same time? On top of that , You have skills of a sharp shooter. Why would you help Navya?
M : I want to save her...
N : I'm nor falling for the trap of this handsome face neither for your Alluring Prevarications, anymore. What's the guarantee that you won't betray me again?
M : Nandini, Why don't you understand the slide is very important. Believe me, You are Nandini Murthy that's the only reason you are still standing in one piece. I would have done anything to get to that slide. I'm being really good with you.
N(Sighs) : What is that slide about Manik? Why does it look like a map ? Why is it green? Why is it so important? If not your agenda , you can at least tell me this much?
M(Sighs) : That slide...It's a kind of map of the hide out places of Aryaman and Harshad's goons . The places where all their illegal works are done in this Dehradun jungle.
N : Places? You mean there are more than one?
M : Yes. They have five hide out places in Dehradun jungle. You remember , When I said its a trap. All their hideout places are situated in those parts of jungle where normal humans usually get lost. They know that no one comes to such deep parts of this jungle and if anyone will come that person won't be able to return back . They always have many people in their hideout places , most of the goons have guns...You saw, right...How they started firing, Just because they saw to of us there, somewhere near the place where their illegal work was going on... It's because they don't want anyone to know about this. But I also think that , They were specially firing because it was you .
N(Tensed) :Me! Why me? And Why Navya?
M : Simple because you are daughter of Dr.Suresh Murthy. 50% partner of SPACE HOSPTAL.You can easily put a full stop on their work. And Navya saw Harshad that day in the jungle...May be he had seen her too and that's why he kidnapped her. This was my conclusion till now. But Cabir told me that Harshad is interrogating Navya about slides...How does she know about slides? I don't get this...How is she involved in all this?
N(Shocked) : Because it was me who accidentally told her about the slide which had fallen from your jacket. Her life is in danger and I'm the reason.
I have always cared for my friends to a great extent Manik...Why did I let this happen? They are interrogating her about something she has no idea at all...She's innocent. She might be surrounded by all those goons all the time...God Please keep her safe.
M : Nandini, We can save her. If you don't trust me, then you can also come with me. But please tell me where is that slide...
N(Sighs) : Its in a locked drawer in my hotel room. I already wanted to ask you about it but I never thought it was this much important. But as you see, Aryaman is only waiting for me near the hotel , we can't go there.
M : That's not a problem. Just tell me where is the key for that drawer.
N : Its with my room keys. I haven't locked my room as I was in a hurry yesterday night. I think the keys might be lying on sofa or table....
M(Smirking) : Okay. You should change this habit of not locking your room...It becomes difficult for me...As I can see you talking about your dreams with your Mirror. Its interesting though...
N(Smiling) : I think Mr. Mysterious Malhotra is trying to be Mr. Flirt Malhotra now.
M : Don't worry everything will be fine now. As I have all the slides other slides...We can easily find Navya.
N : Other slides?
Manik takes out his phone , calls Cabir and tells him to get the slide . He also tells him to send photos of all the slides on his phone and asks him to come here soon.
Woah! All this is so fast. What's with Manik Malhotra and mood swings? Sometime back he was pointing a gun on my head and now he started flirting with me?!
I don't care about his mysterious agenda...But Manik's heart is surely a mystery I would love to solve!
