I was watching a movie when I received a text from Sarah.
I came to fetch her from school.
She was chatting with that girl she mention awhile ago.
I think her name is Tori.
I walk over to them.
"Hey.." I said shortly.
"Hi! You must be Sarah's boyfriend." Tori spoke.
"We haven't formally introduce. I'm Tori." She extended her arm trying to get a handshake from me.
I reach out and gave her a handshake.
"Nice to meet you. I'm.. O.."
"Oliver!" Sarah finish the sentence for me.
I just give her a warning look.
"Nice to meet you Oliver." She smiled sweetly.
She really has the it girl vibes. She has a dark brown wavy hair. Hazel brown eyes and she stands out from her group.
She also introduce me to her other friends.
"We're throwing a college party tonight. You are both invited." She mention. It's just a little welcome back to school party and freshmen pledge night." She explained while inviting us.
I didn't want to go. I don't even go to their school.
Sarah nudge me before I can even protest.
"Thanks for inviting us. We'll make sure to come to your party." Sarah replied for us.
"Great! See you then." She replied.
She's really sultry. I thought.
Sarah was in cloud night happy. She kept talking about how great her day went. Tori and and her friends being all cool and approachable.
"Yeah, I'm happy for you but I'm not going to that party." I mentioned to her.
She stop talking and frown at me.
"What?? Why? I already told Tori that we're going." She said.
"I don't really like those types of party. Besides, What we did earlier was just one time. I don't like to pretend to be your boyfriend again. You even introduce me as Oliver." I replied.
"Yeah, I just didn't want to blow our cover. They will hate me for sure if they found out I was lying about you." Sarah replied. "But O c'mon.. Please come with me to that party. They will wonder why I'm not bringing you there." She said putting her palms together like she was praying for me to say yes.
"I don't know Sar.." I said.
Then she start to bug me even more. She shake my shoulder while I was driving.
This is so unsafe.
"Hey! Back off.. You don't want us to get into an accident do you?" I said trying to stop her while still focusing in the driveway.
"Say yes first!" She persisted.
"Fine.. fine okay! Just stop!" I replied.
Well I told you she always win.
After reaching her mansion. She threw her bag on her bed.
"What now?" I asked.
She look at me confuse.
"What do you mean?" She asked while lying on her bed. Tossing her bow tie.
"I don't really have anything to wear for that party." I said.
"Oh you're totally right!" She said pushing herself up.
She put her hands below her chin like she's trying to think of something.
She look out the door.
"You can borrow my dad's?" She suggested.
That doesn't make me feel any better.
"Do you even think he would wear anything casual? I think all he's wearing are business suit." I said.
"I'm sure we can find something." She said while opening the master's bedroom.
Wow! I've seen this room a thousand times but I still get the same awe feeling when I see it. It's super big.
She let me sit on the couch while she look for something for me to wear.
"Yeah, I think I've found one." She said handing me over a pair of black polo shirt and beige color pants.
"This looks like something you wear for golf day. All I'm missing is a hat." I said.
"Better than nothing. I guess we should shop for more clothes." She suggested.
"Why the hell would I even want to do that." I replied.
"You know just in case.." she didn't finish her sentence. She could feel my death glare on her.
"Nevermind.." she said while taking my hand and guiding me to the comfort room to change.
"Wow you look great!" She said proudly.
After I showed her the clothes she picked for me.
"Hey, remember that acting program you were talking about the other day.." she started a topic.
"Yeah, what about that?" I asked.
"Are you still going?" She asked.
I wonder why she's curious.
"It's too expensive. I may have to give it up." I said sounding defeated.
"How about I lend you some money?" She asked.
She was always generous but I never wanted to take advantage of her generosity.
"No it's fine.. You don't need to do that." I said smiling.
"But you wanted to go so bad.." she said sitting next to me.
"It's okay.. I don't really like being indebt." I said.
"Seriously? You don't even have to pay me back. I just said I'll lend it to you because I know you will refuse it more if I gave it free." She explained.
That was really sweet but I will still not take it. No matter what, I don't want to take advantage of her generosity.
"Fine just think about it. You have more pride than you might think." She said while taking out her books from her bag.
Need help with your assignments?" I asked offering her help.
"Stop babying me.. Just chill in here and don't even think of changing your mind about the party later tonight." she said laughing.
I used to let her copy my assignments before.
She was done with her homework after a few minutes.
We decided to watch an old movie. The title was "The Proposal" with Sarah Bullock and Ryan Reynold starring.l the movie.
It was a funny one.
We never get tired of seeing this movie. It was one of our all time favorite movies to watch.
I felt my eyes getting heavy. I wanted to take a nap.
"Hey.. are you sleeping O?" She asked softly beside me while checking if I was awake.
"Hmm?" I hum while not openning my eyes.
"What would you feel if we made the same contract?" She asked.
What crazy idea is she planning now? I asked myself mentally.
I pretend not to hear her.
"Hey! I know you heard me!" She said a little too loud.
"Uh-oh.. that's just your crazy self talking. Let me rest." I said rolling on the bed.
"But I'm serious.." she said instantly.
"Contract?" I asked for confirmation.
What kind of contract is she even talking about?
"You see.. You said you need money and you know I also need your help. You refuse to take my money for free so how about we just make a deal instead? It will be a win-win situation." She said trying to sound professional.
"Okay?" I said still confuse..
"Just spare me some time and listen." She said while trying to make me sit.
I just nodded and followed her sitting straight up.
"I can help you get into acting school and you can help me with my status in school? How's that sound?" She asked full of hope.
She's insane.. how does that even work?
"So you mean in short.. you want me to keep pretending to be your boyfriend?" I asked trying to confirm what's she's trying to say.
She nodded hastily.
I knew she was a bit crazy.. but really? This is just completely absurb.
"You don't have to decide now." She said knowing I was ready to refuse her offer.
She just went to the bathroom to take a quick shower and change into her party dress.
"You should change now." She commanded me while giving hand motion to the comfort room.
I did what I was told. I change my clothes and worn her dad's outfit.
"Darn, if you were really a guy. You would be like those korean pop idols. Pretty face like flower boys." She said giggling.
Right I might actually look like one. I never admitted this before but since I look identical to Oli.. I should probably tell you we have the same body build. Not sturdy.. It was more petite. Ordinary slim but it did highlight our gorgeous facial features.
"Yeah I know.. just stop drooling." I said snapping my fingers at her.
She push my hand away and turn around to get her stuff.
"Let's go!" She said sounding very excited.
I guess this will be our first college party.
I sighed heavily before closing the door..
"O?" She tried to get my attention while we are on the driveway.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"About the contract I proposed?" She asked hesitantly.
So I guess she was still trying to convince me to accept the proposed deal.
"I'll think about it." I said.
I just didn't want her to bug me anymore.
To be honest, it was a tempting offer. It's the only way I can get to acting school. Besides, acting as her fake boyfriend can just be my dry run right? If I pulled this off then it proves that I can really act. It won't be so uncomfortable since I'm doing it with Sarah anyway.
We reach a fancy house after a few more blocks.
It's a sorority house. I haven't really seen one before. It was bigger than I imagine. There was a big pool on the left side. How can they not mention this as a pool party. Now I feel like we are overdress for this event.
"Hey guys!" Tori approach us while she was standing next to a guy. I could only assume that was her boyfriend.
"Glad you have made it." She smiled sweetly at us while she took Sarah's hand.
The other guy place her other hand on my shoulder trying to be friendly.
I just felt more awkward.
"Hey dude, my name is Bryle." He introduce himself.
"Oli--ver" I said awkwardly.
"You freshmen?" He asked.
I just shook my head.
"I don't think he attends our school." Tori replied tilting her head.
"Oh.. I see, I thought I could make you join our fraternity. I'm sure you'll fit in right well." He said while eyeing the girl in bikini.
Dude, your girlfriend is right in front of you. I mentally scoffed
They left us inside while attending to their other guest.
I think I might need a drink.
I took a red cup and drank some punch.
"Hey! Don't drink too much." Sarah said reminding me that I will still need to drive us back home.
I should probably stop then. I'm a light drinker.
"Time to get this party started!" A girl yelled while the dj increase the sound of music.
This will be a long night.
