I turn to the ballroom walls...THE WINDOWS HAVE BEEN BROKEN USING MAGIC!!! (The magic in this world tends to leave a shimmering substance after its used on materials only)
IT'S A ASSASSINATION ATEMPT ON THE ROYAL FAMILY!!! ....THEY HAVE WEAPONS TOO!!!
(Obviously they'd have weapons *cough*)

"EVERYONE GET OUT HERE NOW!!! I'LL
HOLD THEM OFF!!" Screamed the mage as his voice echoes the hall ways. He then stormed into the centre of all the chaos.
Wait...it is an assassination attempt on the royal family so we have to get them to safety!!?
I turn but I don't see the king or queen!!?
Suddenly I felt someone grab my hand!
"..JADE!!"
"Raelyne come quick!! Mother and father told me to run and hide somewhere in the mansion!! QUICK!!"
"Huh, Okay but what about the Royal family??"
I said while stopping him from dragging me away
"The king and queen have gone with our parents!"
I looked over too where my parents were standing previously, they weren't there anymore, amongst the chaos and surprised hadn't noticed them leave in a hurry...
I briefly look over to the other side of the platform and I see the prince,....
He is watching everything with a straight face!!??
What's wrong with him!?? he needs to run!! Oh No!, he can't stay here while this is all happening!? Why did they leave him here!!??...
(In the previous otome game, the same incident happened but the current Raelyne hasn't remembered it yet, the parents leave while looking for extra help in ways to solve the problem and forget the children while they're in a hurry. The kids (aka raelyne, jade and the prince) do survive this incident but it was more harsh in the previous events of the game)
The prince can't die or that will cause a huge ruckus in the kingdom!
(Only moments like this are when she realises the importance of a character.)
I ran over to the prince as quick as possible with Jade still behind my back.
"Hey!!" I screamed while grabbing his shoulder and turning him around.
I am so scared right now, he won't kill me for this right?
(She's just an overly paranoid person, she tends to have thoughts like this every time she has encounters with the prince )

"COME ON JADE LETS GO QUICK!!" I say as I turn to the hall and back to him.
A group of the assassins were eyeing us from afar, we had to get away quick!! What are we still wasting time for!!??
(The hall is reallllyyyy big btw)
Jade started going first, I then grabbed the princes hand as quickly and hardly as I could and we started running!
We needed to hide until our parents came back with reinforcements...
We got into the main hallway on the second floor, this was all happening too quick I couldn't keep track of anything. Please.....I don't wanna die again....
My ears caught the sounds of rushing foot steps
OH NO! They're following us!!!!
I turned around only to see a small group of them chasing us, the mage must be fending off the rest of them, there were like 20 of them! But since they were at the other side of the ballroom which is huge, when they noticed us we were already quite far away bu.... now...EH...they are catching up to us!!!
"JADE!!! THEY'RE FOLLOWING US!! AGH AND THEY'RE GETTING CLOSER TOO!!!!"
"YES I SEE THAT, COME ON WE HAVE TO RUN FASTER!!"
Jade was a Fairly fit person so he was already a few meters ahead of us, I looked towards the Prince check if he was okay, my hand was still holding his but he wasn't saying anything while running I can't blame him, what would u say while being chased anyways.....but when I turned around I noticed..he was...HE WAS SMILING!!?, What is there to smile about we might die!!
"WHY ARE YOU SMILING!!" I screamed at his face.
"YOU WANNA DIE??!!!" I screamed even louder while running.
The smirk on his face disappeared, and he was looking at my face with surprise..the heck!?
I know what it's like to die and to see someone not even be affected in the slightest with a single threat about it sends a shiver down my spine.
Seriously what is wrong with him!!?? Running in these heels and dress was hard enough, now I have to deal with him!? I should've left him to die back there!!
(Fear makes u think like this XD)
And just as I was about to scream some more a huge blast of lighting hit the walls beside us OF COURSE THOSE ASSASSINS CAN USE MAGIC! while running I had completely forgotten about it.
"JADE!!! THEY CAN USE MAGIC!!"
"I KNOW I CAN ALSO SEE THA-!!"
Suddenly another hit right between us,
"AGHH!!!" We screamed as we hit the ground hard. It hurt.
We were separated!! NO!! Jade was pushed into the other hallway and we were pushed into a separate one!!!
(Remember the hallways are really big as well)
NO, it couldn't get more worse!
"RAELYNE!! Go find a place to hide, I will as well!!"
Jade shouted as he got up and started to run down the hall way.
"BE SAFE!!" I shouted back
I turn back to see the prince . My hand was still grasping his which I forgot about.
"Oh No! are you okay!!" I asked the prince worriedly.
He was on the ground and was grasping his head!
He got hurt!!
"Ehhh where did they go!!??"-(one of the assassins)
Oh no they're around the corner
I didn't even give him time to answer before I grabbed his arm and helped him up, we started running again with no second thought, as quickly as we could down the hall way, it was getting harder...my legs began to ache and I started breathing heavily, the prince was slower this time, he injured his head while he was in my watch Damn!! It's not like I want to look after him but the consequences of letting something like this happen will cost me...not just me but my whole family... a lot...I must have bad luck with stuck with me or something. Will I ever get a break!?
The complaints in my head kept on coming through, In situation like this I could only whine and complain.
It wasn't long before I realised we had entered the same hallway which held my room in it, I could see it from a distant! Yes Luck!! Rain down on me!!! I FINALLY HAVE A CHANCE!!!
We can hide in there!!!!
I ran up to the door and opened it, we rushed inside as fast as we could!! I shut the door frantically as I turn around and slide down against the wall onto the floor.
*heavy breathing* we're in....yess!!
"They..ha...they might...ugh..still be following us!"
He said while grasping his head tightly.
Yeah but there are magic in these walls, they react to the dangers for the residence of this mansion however it's only the present in the bedrooms just incase of a attack at night.
"Don't worry, this room is hidden now, It was activated when they broke in only i am able to see it, you as well since I was holding your hand, oh wait!! what about u!!?? are you okay!!?? YOUR HEAD!!!??" I said while panicking, what do even do to help with that!?
"Agh!" It looked like he was in more pain!
I got closer to him to check his head.
"Let me see!!"
I said it angrily, I also brought back the villainous attitude, I still have to make sure he wants to avoid me, well what can I say other than I am a very paranoid person.
He let me get closer to check, I touch his forehead and slowly brush the hair covering it away to see what happened...and..phew..it is just a bruise, thank god he wasn't bleeding, or I wouldn't know what to do next!!
(Unbeknownst to Raelyne, someone was blushing~)
I turned to him with a happy face though
"Don't worry!" I said "you're not going to die!" Without realising I gave him a smile, damn it! I shouldn't be smiling!! i quickly wiped away my smile....it's gonna be harder for me in the future, I tend to smile a lot...
"Eh why do you look so unpleased!?" He said suddenly bringing back a smirk. "Did you want me to die?"
Moments like this are when I feel like slapping him
"If I wanted you dead I wouldn't have dragged you all the way over here!" I said annoyed.
He stared silently at me. Moments passed. The prince had fallen asleep on the couch/sofa opposite me...it's probably 3:00am and I have no idea about the situation outside...
I'm still worried about Jade, luckily most of the rooms can put on disguises so he should be okay as long as he found a room to get into to, but I still can't help it, a few tears run down my cheek but I brush them away quick. I don't want to lose him...I don't want to lose anyone!
So much happened in one day...it's hard to take it all in....I want to take a look outside...I walked over to the doors silently...I took a few hesitant steps closer to the door but before I reached out to even touch the door...it hit me, this is exactly the same point in time when the Queen...passes away...she had gotten hurt by one of the attackers in an attempt to subdue them...everyone, especially the king and prince mourned this death for years to come,.......even though he is already a sadist he becomes more cold after the death, it became a huge toll on his emotions which effects the future events of the storyline ...something only the heroine could fix.....
...please no....it can't be too late!

I know I haven't published in a long time even though I said I would, Welp what can u do when ur busy, sorry!!!
Well I have decided to change the release dates, I will now update every two week since I am extremely busy now...blame school lol
I hope u guys have been enjoying it so far, this chapter isn't edited yet but I will get to that soon. If u guys have noticed any plot holes please tell me, I really need to fix them.
