A/N: This note is a little late, but I just wanted to make this clear:
This story is obviously based on the Tangled The series and its characters, but NOT it's storyline. This is inspired by the problem with the rocks, that you also see in the actual show, but I just build on that idea and created this 'world' where the rocks are a really big threat for the welfare of Corona, and there will be some evil 'moon warriors' that will be introduced later in the story and stuff. And also, I haven't been able to see season 2 of the show, so there will definitely not be some similarities with season 2 of the show and this story. I just wanted you to know.

"Bro, Varian has invented a new goddamn element, I'm pretty sure he knows how to corrode a rock."
Varian and you had literally came across every possibility of why Varian had completely forgotten everything about the past seven days until you both came to the conclusion that he can't remember anything due to the sorrow that he has just gone through.
And about the potion that contained poison in it, you just thought it was some experiment of some sort that Varian had tried out. You mean, why would he else breed a potion with poison with it?
And after getting down to earth after being confused about what the hell had happened to his memory, you also told Varian about the current poor state that Corona was in because of the black rocks. This hurt the boy deeply because he didn't wish that what had happened to his dad, should happen to anyone else, and he said that he would try to make some kind of potion with the power of alchemy to stop the rocks once and for all.
And now you were on your way back to the main room, to update Rapunzel and the rest of the group.
When you got there, surprisingly everyone sat patiently on their seat, waiting for you. They had apparently been in another group meeting, and when you entered the room, every pair of eyes fell on you. You took a few steps towards them and stood by the end of the table. "Varian is okay. Though he can't remember much of the past few days due to the sorrow of his dead father. And yes Eugene, that's a thing."
Everyone just nodded, while Eugene rolled his eyes. They didn't really care much about the state he was in, in these times they only cared about how they got rid of the black rocks - therefore, they waited for what you were about to say next.
"And because he can't remember much, he wasn't able to find a solution to the black rocks just yet, but he's working on the problem."
Rapunzel sighed and nodded. She wanted to be optimistic, but it was hard when all hope was soon gone, and Corona would be covered by the rocks.
"We're going to find a solution, guys." You said, wondering why you always had to be the grown-up in these situations. The group tried to smile, but it was obvious that they've lost all hope. But you hadn't. You believed in Varian.
And just as you had finished that thought, the door went wide open and revealed none other than Varian. Rapunzel, Eugene, and Cassandra immediately stood up, while you ran over to him.
"Varian, what are you doing here?" You asked worried. He was still looking like crap, and he wore the same skeptic look on his face, just like the one he had worn seconds before telling you about him not remembering.
"The book!" He said holding the very same book up that you had looked in earlier, making everyone, but you, confused.
"What about it?" You asked, ignoring everyone else who wanted answers about why Varian was here, and what the hell he talked about.
Varian turned to you, not giving a damn that everyone could hear him. "The book. I looked in it, and found a newly written list of ingredients to brew a potion that looks like, if finished and made perfectly with the power of alchemy, could destroy the rocks, or at least stop them from spreading."
Your eyes went wide along with everyone else's in the room. You were about to say something but weren't able to because every adult in the room suddenly had surrounded Varian.
"Are you sure Varian?"
"What are the ingredients?"
"How long will the potion take to brew?"
"How do you know the potion can stop the rocks?"
Varian was being overwhelmed with questions from each and every one. You saw that he tried to answer, but he would just be interrupted by another question about the potion.
"Guys, easy!" You tried to say, but you too were interrupted as well.
And that's when you lost your temper.
You jumped on the table and whistled as loud as you could. "What is wrong with you guys!? This is the first time you see Varian in a week, and this is how you welcome him? By bombarding him with questions, that isn't even about if he's okay!? What is up with your childish behavior!? Give him a damn break, his father just died!" You yelled heavily.
The crowd looked guilty and stepped away from Varian, who seemed to be thankful.
"You're right (Y/n)," Rapunzel spoke softly, looking at you with pure guilt in her eyes. Then her look quickly went from sadness to confusion when she looked at your neck.
"(Y/n) why is your necklace shining red?" Rapunzel asked. You looked down and saw that she was indeed right. You panicked, hiding the necklace under your black shirt.
"That's not relevant." You said, gesturing to her and everyone else, giving Varian an apology.
Rapunzel shook it off and gave Varian tight hug, which he surprisingly didn't return. Actually it looked like he tensed up a little by the touch. And when he looked around afterward, you noticed that something in his eyes had changed.
Rapunzel let go and held Varian by the shoulders. "How are you doing Varian?"
And then everybody asked the boy how he was doing. It was honestly unbelievable that they had to be reminded to do so, by you. You couldn't blame them too much though. The black rocks were a very big deal for them, and you knew that.

After Varian had convinced everybody that he was ok, you all had formed a circle and was now beginning to talk about what to do now.
"Isn't it obvious? We're going out and get those ingredients!" You spoke up, and Varian nodded.
Cassandra, who had just exchanged a few words with Andrew, sighed. "We can't just do that. We don't even know if the potion will work."
"Or if the ingredients are even nearby - what if it'll take days to get them? The rock would've reached Corona by then." Hook hand spoke up, raising his fing- I mean hook.
You looked at Varian to see if the ingredients were nearby, to which he shook his head slowly. Dammit.
"I can guarantee that it'll work," Varian spoke up.
Andrew gave him an elevator look. "Are you sure you're in your right state of mind? You look a bit... Tired. Look little guy, maybe you're not thinking clearly-"
"I'm fine!" Varian said, probably a little bit mote angry than he wanted. His fists was clenched.
"And I mean, a potion that can stop the rocks? Kid, that's a pretty big deal." Eugene now said, making you roll your eyes. You could use some support from your brother right now.
"Bro, Varian has invented a new goddamn element, I'm pretty sure he knows how to corrode a rock." You said.
Everyone seemed to think, and you decided to help them, get to the right conclusion. "Look, I know you see Varian and me as kids, but we're just as smart as you, and we're all in the same problem. I suggest we'll go out tomorrow, and try to find those ingredients. What is there to lose? It's the best chance we've got."
You looked at the princess, who slowly nodded. She looked at Cass who copied her gesture.
"Alright. We'll get the ingrediens" Rapunzel said nodding. Xavier, Cassandra, and the Hook brothers agreed, while Andrew and Eugene protested. Though Rapunzel just shook them off. She had made up her mind, and she was after all the leader of the group, so the last word was hers, whether your brother liked it or not.
"Varian, how far away are the ingredients?" Rapunzel asked.
Varian looked at the page in his book. "I already have many of them in my room. We're missing three. First, we need fluxweed, which can be found just outside Corona. It's very common, that shouldn't be a big deal." Varian explained, and everyone listened carefully.
[A/N: Lol, Fluxweed is from Harry Potter, because i couldn't come up with anything.]
"The next one is a little more tricky; The venom from a black mamba. They can be found on the way to the third one; A moon flower. These are very rare, and can only be found on top of the East-mountains." Varian finished. Everyone nodded, except Andrew.
"The East mountains is at least three days away by walk." He said, and when no-one noticed Varian send the man a deadly glare.
"That's six days. At the same time, the rocks will have reached the bridge. We would have to hurry." Cassandra said.
Eugene nodded."We'll go tomorrow morning. There's no time to waste."
"I agree, but we can't all go. If the rocks are getting closer than expected at some point, someone needs to stay behind to calm them down, and look over the kingdom." Rapunzel said.
"We'll stay." The hook brothers said quickly.
"I'll stay behind too. I'll get you some gear for tomorrow's journey." Xavier told you and was already out of the door.
Rapunzel smiled. The first real smile, for a really long time. "Then that's settled." She looked at Varian, Andrew, Eugene, Cassandra and me. "The six of us will be ready when the sun rises. Make sure to pack your things."
Eugene suddenly made some very weird arm-movements. "No. Absolutely not. Nope. Under NO circumstances is my sister allowed to tag along. It's too dangerous." He pointed at you. "You'll stay here."

"Are you kidding? This is like the most exciting thing that has happened in months! I'm going!" You crossed you arms. There was no way in hell that you were going to miss this.
"She's right Eugene," Cassandra said. "Besides, she'll probably end up being the one to protect you form danger the whole time."
Your brother just rolled his eyes at this and looked sternly at you. The two of you had a long discussion, but of course, you ended up winning. Though you had promised him to try and stay out of danger.

"Okay, remember; When the sun rises." Rapunzel reminded you all, before heading to bed.
Everyone then said goodnight to one another, and then heading to bed as well.
And that night, everyone felt asleep very fast, due to tomorrow's upcoming event. Though one boy laid wide awake, wondering how stupid you all were to walk right into his trap.
Then he glipped his eyes, as the 'other one' re-gained consciousness, wondering what the hell just happened.
