Peter was standing outside an apartment complex that wasn't to far from his home. Today was his first date with Mj and he had walked over to pick her up. As Peter was walking up the stairs he couldn't help but get nervous. This was the girl he had liked for a while now and he couldn't believe he actually had asked her out on a date and that she said yes.
Once Peter realized he was at her door, he couldn't help but to check his breath before he knocked on the door. As soon as he checked that his breath smelled fine he knocked and waited for the door to open.
The door swung opened and Mj was standing in the door frame she looked amazing. She was wearing a simple floral dress with boots and a jean jacket but peter thought she looked amazing.
"You look great Mj," Peter stepped aside so that mj could get through her door frame and close her door.
"Umm thanks peter you look great too." She said as she gestured for him to lead the way. "So what are we doing?"
"Um, it's a surprise," Peter interlocked their figures and looked for any sign that she didn't want to hold his hand. "This is fine right?"
"Yea it is." She smiled.
"Um mj I do have a question though. Are you afraid of heights?" He questioned her.
Mj raised an eyebrow, "Somewhat scared why? You aren't taking me swingin are you?"
"Well no...at least not yet?" He chuckled. "Um but we will be going up."
They talked and laughed while Peter led the way to his apartment complex. Once they were there they got into the elevator. However instead of going to Peters floor they went all the way to the rooftop.
The elevator doors opened and at the center of the rooftop lay a blanket with pillows, food, and more blankets. There was also a screen with a projector that mj assumed was for a movie.
"So do you like it." Peter asked.
"It's cute. So what are we watching?" Mj asked walking over to the blankets and sitting down.
"Well I was gonna leave that up to you. You wanna watch some murder documentary or the office?" He asked as he sat down and turned to open the box of pizza he had kept in a heating box to keep it warm.
"Well as much as love some documentaries on a murders thoughts I haven't finished the office. So the office." She answered as she took the plate of pizza that peter handed her.
"Well the office it is!" Peter pulled up the office on his computer.
They finished eating and laid down to watch the office. As they continued to watch the office Mj snuck her hand into Peters taking a hold of it. Peter turned to face her and his eyes landing on her beautiful brown ones.
It's funny. When Peter was younger uncle Ben would read him stories before bed and one night young Peter had questioned love. He had asked Uncle Ben on how he knew when he was in love. Uncle Ben had told Peter that when the time came that he would ever meet the love of his life that time would stop and it was true because here he was staring at the person that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and it was only their first date. But Uncle Ben also told him that when time starts again it moves extra fast to catch up with the world and before he knew day turned into night.
"I really really like you Mj." Peter blushed.
Mj was blushing as well. " I really like you too peter."
They both leaned in with the intention to kiss one another.
Peter wanted this. Mj wanted this. But fate has a way of interrupting things in life when you don't want them to.
Both of them snapped out of their little bumble and separated when they heard someone calling out Peters name.
They weren't the only ones on the roof now. On the edge of the roof stood a female in a white, black, and pink spider like suit with a hoodie and blue ballerina slippers.
"Gwen what are you doing here?" Peter questioned confused on her presence.
"Well we were supposed about an hour ago for some dinner and than training with miles. So when you didn't show up miles went home and I came here. And who's this?" She eyed mj in a way that mj thought that she might be judging her.
Ohh did Mj not like her at the moment.
"I'm Michelle but my friends call me Mj and who are you again? Gen?" Mj raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"Um Im Gwen Stacy Peters friend." She said.
"Gwen look I lost track of time we can train tomorrow?" Peter was irritated this was the second time his almost kiss with Mj was interrupted.
"I mean I guess. I can train but tomorrow is Sunday you know miles can't he is going out with his uncle tomorrow."
"Okay then you and I will train tomorrow." Peter kept glancing at mj who's eyebrow still seemed to be up questioning Gwen.
"Okay, But you owe me lunch. Bye Michelle. Bye Peter." With that she jumped off the building and swung away.
"I'm sorry about Gwen hope this didn't ruin the date." Peter turned to mj.
"No it didn't but I think I should really be getting home." She gestured to the door.
"Alright um I'll walk you home."
With that peter and mj walked home in silence. They held hands but there was nothing else. Peter couldn't stop thinking about how time had stopped for them and how he was about to his her again. While Mj was thinking about how Gwen interacted with peter. She was observant she has a feeling that Gwen might have some feelings for peter. Once they were in front of her apartment complex they stopped.
"Thanks again for today loser." Mj smiled and peaked his cheek before walking into her building leaving peter alone.
Peter put his hand on his cheek were mj had kissed him. Today was good he had just wished that Gwen hadn't interrupted them.
Peter was walking home when he felt his phone vibrate. He had gotten an Instagram notification that mj had posted. Now he was curious he unlocked his phone and saw a photo of the rooftop picnic he had set up. When did she take out her phone take a picture? He didn't care she had liked it and he hoped to go on another date with her.
