(*I don't really like it so follow at your own risk)

Okay! So. First, here's the finished thing for those of you who don't care, but for those of you who might (MarieJade4ever) there will be colors and steps further down!

Ok so first of all, I'm doing a field of flowers. which means a basecoat of green. So what I did is I took an approximate 1 to 1 mix of Apple Barrel's 'Yellow' and 'Too Blue', decided where I wanted the horizon, and slapped some paint on.

Filled in up to where I wanted the horizon and then decided what in the world I wanted for a sky. Figured that since I had already limited my options to daytime unless I went over with a darker green and some blues with white/light green streaks for contrast, I decided a clear, light blue sky would be best.

Of course, me being a dummy, I forgot to take a photo of that and added clouds before I remembered. For the sky itself I did a 1 to 2 or so ratio of blue and white (2 times the amount of white compared to blue) and slapped that on. Then, not wanting to waste the leftover paint, I put a very, VERY tiny amount of black in that actually ended up being too much anyway but oh well and I used a larger brush to just dab some clouds on. (I like clouds. You can make them whatever shape you want so long as you add some shading and texture which I did later).
After that, I started on the flowers. I wanted a warmer purple but you can mess around with the tones and shades by changing the amount of red and blue and white in comparison. Once you're satisfied with your shade, be prepared for a LOT of dots and little splats of paint. Seriously. You'll be there for a while.

Maybe an hour later I had that (although I do admit I was sidetracked occasionally by YouTube)
And then another hour later I had this

Again, youtube might have been a bit to blame.
And then, finally, about five minutes ago, I finished! I might go back and add some white for highlights later, but as for now, it's one in the morning and I'm starting to get a bit tired. So before I go, I'll tell you the colors I used. They're all the same brand (Apple Barrel) which is like ¢50 per 2 oz bottle at your local Walmart in the arts and crafts section (although I found mine by the fabrics??).
Anyway! List!
-Jet Black
-Yellow
-Too Blue
-Bright Red
-Snow White

(Wow this is the most I've written on here in ages oof)
