Steve was still possessed by Joshua, it had been a few days now. Vision wasn't allowed in the same area as Steve, nor was to be reminded of Wanda's fate in any way.
"Why are you doing this?" Bucky asked Joshua, they had put him in a holding cell.
"I've already answered that question, haven't I?" Steve asked, his eyes red and a smirk on his face. "And besides, that isn't the question you should be asking."
"And what is the question I should be asking?" Bucky spat.
"Can you spare my life?" Steve smirked. Bucky was taken aback, he had never considered dying by Steve's hands. "Oh, spare me the surprise." Steve rolled his eyes. "You didn't honestly think I'd spare you because of your connection to the captain?" When he received no answer, Joshua laughed loudly.
"No, Steve would never." Bucky whispered out, though he was beginning to doubt his words.
"Just like how Steve would never hurt another Avenger? Please, he broke that long before Wanda." Steve narrowed his eyes. "I'm honestly thinking of sparing you, since the captain won't stop screaming about it." Steve scoffed. "It's pitiful. 'Don't touch him!' or 'Please, leave him alone!'."
Bucky was horrified at the thought of Steve still being in there. Steve smirked. "Unfortunately for him, I could find great uses for you." Steve chuckled. His eyes suddenly began to glow, and Bucky found himself dropping to his knees, his vision becoming hazy.
"Wh-What's happening...?" Bucky asked, suddenly unable to move his hands.
"You recognize this feeling, don't you?" Steve tilted his head. Bucky, despite his best efforts, couldn't stop himself from nodding.
Bucky's mind became blank for a split second, before he suddenly felt himself standing up. "Oops, I just realized." Steve chuckled. "You aren't the person I meant. What a shame. Oh well. I have no use for you. Go kill yourself." Steve shrugged, a smirk on his face.
Bucky saw Steve's eyes flash back to blue, Steve fighting back. Bucky felt himself stand up, and begin walking to the kitchen. "Hey Uncle...Bucky...?" Peter greeted him, stopping when Bucky walked straight past him.
"How is he doing?" Sam asked, walking over. He was irritated when he received no response and Bucky walked into the kitchen.
Back at the cell, Steve had regained control and was banging on the glass of the cell. "You have to stop him!" He screamed, tears filling his eyes.
Bucky walked into the kitchen, eyes narrowing when he spotted the knife drawer. He had failed to notice Tony, who was also in the kitchen. "Hey Barnes, mind if I make dinner tonight? Pep wants me to learn some recipes."
Bucky didn't answer and walked towards the knife drawer, slowly pulling it open.
Bucky was panicking. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't regain control of his body.
Tony tilted his head when he received no answers. "Yoohoo? Buck? You in there?" Tony asked, waving a hand in front of Bucky's face.
Bucky grabbed a large knife out of the drawer, watching the light flicker off it.
"Oi, Barnes and Noble, are you deaf or something? I said I'm making dinner." Tony snorted. He furrowed his brows when he didn't receive an answer yet again.
Bucky held the knife up, and held it towards his neck. Tony's eyes widened as he rushed foward. "NO!" He screamed, frantically trying to pry the knife away.
Peter and Sam ran into the kitchen, hearing the commotion. Tony summoned one of his blasters to help pry the knife away. Peter was using his webs to pull the knife away.
The knife came flying out of Bucky's hands. "Are you out of your damn mind?!" Sam yelled. He was throughly irked when he received a blank stare in response.
Bucky walked foward, reared his head back, and went to slam his head against the counter.
He was stopped when Peter's webs were holding him back. Peter tied Bucky up with his webs.
Bucky plopped on the floor, staring at the tile. Sam, Tony, and Peter's breathing had accelerated. Panic was evident in all of their expressions.
All of them were hoping Bucky would snap out this trance-like state he had been reduced to. "James, what happened?" Tony asked.
Bucky continued staring at the tile. Inside, he was trying to will his mouth to move, to say something.
All of them were more than concerned now. "What happened?" Sam repeated Tony's question.
Bucky mumbled something incomprehensible, his eyes seeming to focus slightly.
"What?" Peter asked quietly.
"I have an order, I must see it through." Bucky mumbled.
Now, that wasn't what Bucky wanted to say, but it was a start.
All three of their eyes widened. Tony rushed down to the cells, where Steve had lost the battle of control yet again. "What did you do?" He spat.
"I gave a simple order." Steve shrugged.
So his suspicions were correct, Joshua was the cause of this situation. Tony glared daggers at him.
"What? Are you jealous?" Steve smirked. Tony turned away and stormed off, not wanting to be controlled again.
Once Tony was out of earshot, Steve smirked. "Don't worry," He chuckled.
"You'll all get your own orders soon enough."
