He stands there in the rubble of the destroyed battle ground. He looks around at the rubble and frowns. This was once his home, but now it was destroyed.
He climbs over a mound of cement and stops when he hears movement. He freezes and looks out into the fog. He sees a black figure walking closer to him. He narrows his eyes and pulls out his sword.
"Who's there?" He yells out. The figure comes closer, and he soon sees a tail and 4 legs. "A... a dog?" He lowers the sword as the dog comes closer. He holds out a hand and the black dog slowly moves closer. "Well hey there buddy." He smiles
