Aiden turned towards me and hold my hand tightly as if telling me that everything would be alright. His eyes were displaying various emotions.

"I'm going to make us invisible. Something is going on the upper part of the basement," Aiden said to me as he looked towards the path which led to the stairs. I also realised some commotion on the upper part.

"Are you ready?" He asked me as his warm eyes locked with mine.

"Always," I said to him with reassuring smile.

"I want to tell you one last time that you hold a very special place in my heart. Always remember that," He squeezed my hand.

I nodded. "And you hold in mine," I said, giving him a small smile.

With a small smile plastered on his face, he closed his eyes and started to concentrate on his work. His eyebrows furrowed and small droplets formed on his forehead. Suddenly, a surge of energy passed through him to me and I swayed due to the impact of the force. I started to feel light weighted when he opened his eyes.

"Let's go,"

With that said, Aiden pulled me towards the basement stair. We climbed up the stairs, and when we reached the final steps we realised that something was definitely wrong. There was a chaos as ruiners were running frantically in different directions with weapons in their hand. They were snarling and the disgusting black tar like liquid flowing from their mouth. A gloomy atmosphere, blood splattered on the floor and clinging of metals with one another indicated that a war was going on, but with whom?

"We need to find Khuzuhoso as soon as possible before he fly to hide somewhere else," Aiden said, taking the view in front of us.

"It would be shame if we lose him after being inside his castle," I agreed with Aiden as a ruiner past through our bodies sending a creepy vibe to us.

Making our ways through the crowded hallway, we ran in the direction of his throne room. We didn't know whether he was still there or not but it was the only first place that came into my mind and Aiden started to drag me in that direction. As we were running, I looked around and a familiar face came in to my view. I stopped abruptly making Aiden to halt as well.

"What?" He asked with worry in his voice as he looked at me but when I didn't reply, he looked in the direction where I was looking and his eyes widened.

"What is he doing here?" Aiden asked as he looked at Ashton who was fighting with ruiners.

"I guess, they are here. That is what all chaos is about," I mumbled looking at him as he was fighting with them.

Suddenly a ruiner came behind Ashton to stroke him. My eyes widened and before I could do anything an arrow shot the ruiner down. I looked in the direction of arrow. Standing there in all glory was Jacob with bow in his hand. He didn't leave.

"I was fool to think that he would listen to my order and would leave me alone here," Aiden said looking towards Jacob who joined Ashton.

"It seems like they are handling the ruiners pretty well and it's time that we also move towards Khuzuhoso before he leaves. Let's go!" I said to Aiden, and he started to guide us towards the throne room.

After running for a while we reached outside the throne room. The giant door was closed but there was not any ruiner around it.

"Do you have that sword?" Aiden asked me as he glanced at me. My hands reached towards the sheath feeling the grip of the sword as I pulled it in front of me. I glanced towards Aiden, and he nodded his head in understanding. The door was locked firmly but it was not going to stop us from entering the room. Aiden hold my hand tightly as we passed through the door like a ghost. The room was dimly lit. We moved further inside a room looking around for any sign of Khuzuhoso.

"I knew that you wouldn't betray your own blood Kiara," Kuzuhoso voice boomed in the room following by his sickening laughter. "I've told Matt many times that you will be just like your grand mother, but he didn't believe me."

I was confused and shocked after hearing all the nonsense coming out from his dirty mouth. Aiden squeezed my hand and made us visible again, seeing that it was not necessary anymore. He knew about our presence without seeing us.

"He is just trying to confuse you and distract you from your goal. Don't fall for this," Aiden whispered in my ear and I nodded in understanding, tightening my grip on the sword.

"I'm not your blood. You can't distract me Khuzuhoso by your false statements. Your end is near," I told him loudly and confidently, narrowing my eyes at his form.

He laughed again along with Matt who was standing beside him near the window with their back facing us. They turned around and their bloodshot eyes sparkled in the dark room.

"You don't know about your grandmother, do you?" He asked in a mocking voice as Matt laughed, moving at slow pace towards us. He stopped at few feet away from as and studied my face with a smirk on his face.

"From the look on her face, she doesn't," Matt said glancing back at Khuzuhoso.

"How would she know when her own parents doesn't know about that secret. Nobody does," Khuzuhoso laughed again then his face turned serious as he looked into my eyes. "Now, I'm going to tell you a story, Kiara."

I looked at him with an unreadable expression my face. Deep down I wanted to know about the story of my grand mother, but I was alert as well. I glanced towards Aiden, and he nodded his head understanding me. From the corner of my eyes I saw how his grip on his sword also tightened. We looked towards Khuzuhoso as he made his way towards his throne and sat on it. Matt also followed him and sat beside him.

Khuzuhoso looked towards us and continued. "Once upon a time there was a kingdom called Numinous. Do you know that young trainee of the Kingdom were sent to different small kingdoms and human world as a part of their training so that they could understand the functioning of that places?" he asked arching his eyebrow.

Aiden gritted his teeth and I clenched my fist at his mocking question. He saw our reaction as a satisfied small spread on his face.

"My bad, how would you know when the kingdom no longer exist," he mocked again, laughing again with Matt.

"Get to the point Khuzuhoso. You are testing my patience," Aiden said gritting his teeth and giving Khuzuhoso his death glare.

"I'll kill you right now if you didn't get to the point," I snarled at him. My blood was boiling because of his mocking tone and from the look on Aiden face he was also stopping himself from murdering him.

"Your grandmother was a trainee when she went to the human world. Like Numinous kingdom, Iconoclast kingdom also sent their trainee to different places. She was a naive, young and a beautiful trainee who captured the attention of the prince of the Iconoclast kingdom," he paused looking at my reaction. I sucked on deep breathe.

"They both were naive as they fell in love and got married secretly. Do you know that a ruiner and healer can't get married because it would result in disaster and that disaster would be in the form of their child, but I don't agree with it. Do you know why?" He asked me, looking at my face as he expected an answer but I remained silent. I snorted mentally that he thought I was going to answer him like a stupid slave.

"Because I'm the result of their love and I'm that child. Both the kingdom was unaware of their marriage and me. Their secret was safe and only one another person was aware of their marriage. Your grandmother's friend. He helped them to got married. He just wanted to make sure that he didn't do any wrong thing so when he returned to the Numinous Kingdom he started to subtly get information about such kind of marriage when he learned that such kind of marriage would only result in disaster in the form of a child. He immediately confessed her mother about her daughter's mistake. At that time he was unaware of my birth," he spat out, scrunching his face.

"She immediately took off to the human world along with your grandmother's friend. At that time, I was sleeping when they came to our house. She was very angry with her daughter. She told them that it would result in disaster. The prince would also lose his chance of becoming a king if the ruiners would become aware of his mistake. The prince couldn't abandon his responsibility as he had worked hard to became a king and your grandmother was also aware of that, so they broke off their marriage but, they didn't tell her mother about my birth. Right there and then her mother married your grandmother to her friend in front of the prince and took her to the Numinous kingdom with her, leaving a heartbroken Prince and her child behind," his voice was murderous as he proceeded.

"And do you know what the prince did? He left the child with his friend telling him that I need protection from some people. They were taking care of me like I was a fragile glass. Oh, how much I hated those people. I had to kill them for showing so much affection," he scrunched up his nose like he was disgusted by the fact that they cared for him and showered him with affection.

"They all were a bunch of caring people who didn't know that I was meant to become the king of the Iconoclast kingdom and the Numinous Kingdom as well. I should be the one and only ruler in this world and that's what going to happen," Khuzuhoso spoke loudly again, punching the post made of bricks besides him.

For a second, I felt sympathetic to him, but he didn't deserve that. He was cruel, and he was meant to be disaster whether the prince and my grandmother left him or not. They left him in the care of good people. At least he was alive. But he paid them for their kindness, love and affection by killing them. Not only them, he killed his own father, his own mother, and then he killed his own wife with his bare hand. And how can I forget about a little child, Jayden. I glanced towards Aiden as Jayden's thought cross my mind. He was listening to Khuzuhoso with his jaw clenched, his eyebrows drawn together and with narrowed eyes.

Khuzuhoso was in the path of destruction and it was time to end his insanity.

He looked towards us. "The blood of both the kingdom is running in my body. A ruiner can't kill another ruiner and a healer can't kill another healer. Do you know what it means? It means nobody can kill me. Not even you!" He exclaimed, pointing his finger towards me.
