Hey guys I'm sorry I put this on a bit of a hiatus, though I did put all my books on hold. I needed to get my priorities straight with HW, as a sophomore. I know it will only get worse from here, so, also a freshman screwed me over. I did most of all the work, we were supposed to do 10 slides on a particular artist. Though I did my part, 5 slides, 6 including the title page/cover. They only did 2 full of grammar errors, sure I make mistakes here, here and there.

Though when it comes to my work for school I have to make sure it's perfect. Sorry though updates might not be as consistent, I'll still try my best to update. Not only this book, but the other books as well and that's a promise to you and everyone else. So thank you for being patient with me and my stories, for your support. Thank you.

Y/n POV

Traveling further and further through the thick forest, till we came to lighter shade of green terrain. I was on Damien like always, but all of a sudden.

My eyes suddenly flashed a range of various colors, my head suddenly spinning. As images flashed through my mind a dark abandoned fortress, that I know all to well. Radagast, dead animals with the stench of...of...

Witchcraft.

Then a flurry of more images, a run down abandoned house, overgrown with nature. A farmer and his family attacked by trolls. I hold my head as the visions pained me too much. I finally snapped back into reality as my eyes were now their original color as before.

"Y/n...you...ok?" I snap out my little daze and looked over to my left. Seeing a very concerned, Bilbo staring up at me.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine Bilbo." I said to him, faking a smile hoping he would believe me. He still looked  concerned, but smiled anyways, not trying to push it any further.

I daze off once more, I wonder how Boldof is doing? I wonder if he'd be a good ruler, where I could retire if I never have any kids. He would just take charge, being a King isn't what it all proves out to be. Sure it's cool being in charge of a whole Kingdom, but with luxury comes great cost.

You are in charge of hundreds of lives, mess up, it could all fall apart. If you become weak then, everyone follows your suit. You lose hope, they lose hope. My family...weren't there for me to have a shoulder to t-to cry on. I had to rely on myself even though it hurt so so much.

Stay strong, not for you, but them. I wasn't meant to take the crown. It wasn't meant to be me, why me?! Why couldn't you have given it to my brother, he wanted it more than me, more than most. I wanted to be free, I didn't want this. I started to lose myself within the confines of the endless void, we call the mind. Getting sucked in further and further, drowning the world around you. Until, all you can here are just the pounding of your heart beat, pound, pound, pound.

The voices that haunt you, from deep within as they torture you, slowly and mentally. Clutching your head, as a few strings of your hairs, begun to come undone. Gripping your head tightly, as you grind your teeth together, out of pain.

Your eyes back to switching colors, sinking deeper and deeper into your thoughts. The screams, their screeches were unbearable to you. Your heart began to pound quicker and harder, as the volume of the screams increased. The bloodshed, the innocent lives taken, as you began to twitch anxiously.

Till you were knocked out of your thoughts with a hand laid on your shoulder, you snapped your head to the individual. I looked up to see Dwalin, staring up at me, though he was short he was one one the tall dwarves.

"You alright there lass?" He said is a concerned tone, a tone that most don't get to hear. A side of the strong dwarf that no one not close to him sees, I'm glad I'm one of those lucky ones. I conjure up a smile the best I could, as tears started to flow down my face. I tried my best to wipe away the tears, trying to steadily get off of Damien, the best I could.

Though sometimes things don't go the way you want them to, my legs began to wobble, as my knees began shake. Before I knew it, I almost collapsed to the floor. If it wasn't for Dwalin, who held me up, he may be short but he is no weakling.

He set me down onto my knees, he was a few taller than me at this height. I looked to the side, embarrassed on how weak I look, how could I lead a kingdom when I'm still trying to control my powers.

"Look at me, will ya lass." I stubbornly ignored him and looked everywhere, but him. He only chuckled at my attempt, before gripping my chin softly. Allowing him to get a full view of my face, my cheeks slightly reddened, while my lips parted slightly, eyes red from crying, eyebrows slightly furrowed.

His eyes softened, as he took his other hand and placed it on my cheek. Wiping away the fallen tears, caressing my face softly. A small smile gracing his lips, that made me want to smile too.

I then grabbed him by the shoulders pulling him into a hug. He seemed shocked for the most part, before wrapping his arms around my waist. As I snuggled into the crease of his neck, eyes closed softly, a wide smile present on my face. Opening my eyes, I spoke a few words.

"Thank you Dwalin..." Letting him go from my hug, standing once more onto my own two feet. Then, making my way towards the area, we are supposedly supposed to set up camp.

Though when I saw the same overgrown rundown house in my visions, I almost came to a complete stop. I took a deep breath, before continuing on towards Gandalf.

At the entrance of the rundown house, I grazed my hand against the chipped wood. Cracked bricks, rusty barrels and wagon. The screams and cries echoed throughout my mind. More vivid this time, almost as if their souls still lingered throughout the small building.  Their cries for help, their pain, sadness I could feel it as if I were there with them.

"A farmer and his family used to live here..."

I look to Gandalf, he knew as well. He only turned his head in my direction, sharing a look and a nod. We turn our heads to go our separate ways, as I take one more glance at the overgrowth of the house.

"I think it would be wiser to move on..We could make for the hidden valley." Gandalf speaks once more, though in the direction of the doorway.

"I've told you already, I will not go near that place." I look to the doorway or entrance, only to spot a sour looking Thorin.

"Why not the elves could help us we could get food, rest, advice." Gandalf spoke informing Thorin, in hopes of persuading him. Alas, Thorin was the most stubborn out of the company and didn't look like he was going to back down.

"I do not need their advice." Thorin spoke with hate. Thorin has always held a grudge against elven kin, since the attack on his people. Who could blame him.

I couldn't help but feel pity for them, is that the right word. Hopefully not, I feel saddened for not being their for them, for him.

They were some of the ones I grew up with and I had tremendous amount of fun just hanging out with them. I shake my head, as I continued to observe the patterns on the bricks.

What the other dwarves were doing. I looked over to Gandalf and Thorin. Accidentally getting caught by Thorin that I was staring. Before taking my leave over to the rest of the dwarves.

(Underlined is Khuzdul (Dwarves of Khazad-dûm))

"Hey Bifur, can I help you?"He turns his head to me, as if surprised that I could speak his language. I just shed a smile and show a shrug.

He soon understands nodding and leaving to ready the fire.

"I'll be back."By this time, Gandalf had already left. Walking off into the forest, when I was little ways away. I took off my cloak so it wouldn't get dirty. Placing it on a nearby branch, before shifting into a form, one a little bit more convenient.

(Yours is on the right)
My armor shifted with my form, just in case I ran into trouble. Sure it was a warg and I know for a fact that if Thorin saw me like this, he actually try and kill me...heh..

Even though it looks evil, I actually quite like this form. I shake head out of my thoughts before running off. My goal was to capture some deer and rabbits, for a nice venison and rabbit stew. With some button mushrooms, ones that are consumable of course, chopped carrots, star anise but I might not find it, or might not have it....I'll ty cinnamon instead. We will also need some thyme, a bulb of garlic, three bay leaves, some parsley, and so on and so forth.

Plus if I cannot find the ingredients here I can get some from my magic, which I might add steals it from the royal kitchen, from my kingdom. Racing forward, jumping over fallen logs, racing in between the trees, from right to left. Till coming to a complete stop, sniffing the air. Three rabbits in range, a herd of deer further in the distance, the smartest decision is to take out the closest ones first. I did just that.

Thorin POV

I took a gaze around the group, one was missing. Y/n, though I would be lying if I said I didn't have feelings for her.
She being in the middle of of all our ages, it should be plausible for us to be together right? Never mind, I couldn't help but shed a small smile when we first met, Kili and Fili had introduced us. She's a very unique girl and I feel as though guilt is weighing down on me, of what could have happened to her.

I stomp over to the rest of the dwarves. I stern expression present on my face.

"Where is Y/n?" The company looked up at me, before frantically looking around. I scowl in frustration, thinking f where she could be. Or I then all of a sudden stands up quickly, stuttering the following.

"I th-think I saw her s-slip away to the forest, whe-when everyone was readying the s-su-supplies..." I nod in his direction, before taking a stride towards the forest, to find Y/n. My hands turned into fists, till they turned white, my breathing uneven, not scared for me, but her.

Y/n POV

I transformed back to my regular form, some blood seemed to be a tad bit splattered on my armor, no matter. I quickly grab my prey and cloak slinging it over my shoulder as I walked out of the forest. Only to find the dwarves plus one hobbit scrambling about, it looks as if they were trying to find something.

With Thorin little ways from me, staring at me blankly.

"Hey guys I'm back!" I wave to the others, my eyes closed as I yelled out to them.

I soon opened my eyes in shock as I felt strong rough hands grip my shoulders. Though once I opened them, my eyes fell on a very angry Thorin.

"Don't leave me like that again! You can't just go running off like that, out of the blue, we need you, I need you. Do you even yet to understand how much I worried about you! I-I just can't lose you again Y/n! You mean so much to me, you are one of the last things that still give me hope and without you I'm afraid I'm nothing. Don't leave me please."

His grip began to soften, as his eyes followed the same suit. Staring into my eyes, breathing slowly, as chest went up and down in a nice rhythm.

I chuckled at the sight, he soon realized what he had just previously said. Fixing his posture and clearing out his throat before saying the following.

"I'm sorry, for that...though as leader I advise you not to go off somewhere else without telling at least one of us.."

I blink my eyes in confusion, tilting my head at Thorin before stating.

"I did, I told Bifur."

This caused Thorin and the rest of the other company to look at Bifur. Who was checking the temperature.

"Hey, Bifur I told you right, that I was going into the forest?"

Bifur then turned around and did a hand sign, translating to "Yes." I then looked over to the rest of the company and Bilbo of course. I only shook my head, with a wide grin upon my face.

"Who's ready to eat?"

I yelled out, as I began walking over to Bifur, with an already boiling pot of water.
