Sam walked over to the table and sat down next to Cerys. "I have something to tell you and I don't think you'll believe me Cerys." She rest her head on his shoulder and he placed his arm around her,
"I think I will no matter how weird." She mumbled into his arm, Sam took a deep breath and said without a breath;
"I think I can read people's minds." Cerys lifted her head to look at him. She sighed with relief but Sam took it the wrong way and pulled away from her.
"No don't leave, I believe you. It just makes what I wanted to tell you so much easier." Cerys quickly explained before Sam got offended and left. Sam looked at her curiously,
"What could be more crazy than reading people's minds." He asked, Cerys sat up and glanced round cautiously. Sam's eyes widened as he watched Cerys hold her hand up so it was facing her pencil. She waved it and the pencil started to write something on the piece of paper from Sam's notebook. Sam cast Cerys a wild look as the pencil dropped and he picked up the paper.
I'm guessing you understand so thank you, and I know we've never said it but I love you Sam.
Sam looked up from the paper; Cerys was watching him, afraid of what he would do, he dropped it and kissed Cerys. She was surprised but responded eagerly, they pulled away and Sam stroked her cheek softly.
"I love you too." He said with a smile.

Kira smiled as she tuned out of their conversation, she and Cerys had discussed Sam and whether or not to tell him about her magic, it turned out pretty well Kira thought, looks like Sam had a secret to share as well. She was happy for them both and smiled again as she turned back to her dinner. Kira was sat alone at a table near the wall. She wanted some peace and quiet so had rejected Cerys' protests and made her go wait for Sam.
Her peace was disturbed, however when Hunter sat down opposite her. He fiddled with the core of his apple, turning and twisting until it snapped. He was clearly thinking hard so Kira carried on eating.
"I saw you were listening in in their conversation." He said observantly. Kira smiled feeling a little bit guilty, although it had been a good idea. Hunter smiled at her and she felt her head spin. Oh really this is getting ridiculous she thought. Kira finished eating waiting for Hunter to speak again. He placed his hand on hers and she looked down at it then back at Hunter.
"Have any of your powers come through yet?" Hunter asked quietly, his eyes trained on his food. Kira desperately wanted to say yes. That she had discovered something new, but she the word no tumbled from her lips before she could stop them. Hunter smirked,
"I thought so; it would explain the bad kissing." Kira was offended and angry, angry that he had called her a bad kisser and also because he had brought up the topic she had clearly been trying to avoid. "I won't be kissing you again; in fact I would rather kiss one of the cheerleaders." Kira saw red, though sheer embarrassment and anger, once again he was proving to be the arrogant boy he really was.
There was a loud boom and a scream as lightning struck the tree nearest Kira. She whirled round, the sun had disappeared and in its place, dark thunder clouds taking over the sky. The tree had been completely destroyed, luckily it hadn't caught fire and no one appeared to be hurt, just quite shell shocked. Kira looked back round at Hunter who was smiling at her apologetically.
"Looks like you have found your new power Kira. " he exclaimed. Kira;s jaw dropped and he tutted, Hunter reached forwards across the table and placed his hand under her chin.
"Don't do that blondie . You'll catch flies." Kira blushed and closed her mouth smacking his hand away.
You mean the weather. I can control the weather. ? She asked uncertainly. Hunter nodded.
"In time yes. For the moment however they seem to be responding to your emotions when they are particularly strong." Hunter replied carefully. Kira was very confused and still slightly hurt. It must have been evident in her expression because Hunter placed his hand on hers.
"I'm sorry for what I said. I truly didn't mean any of it. Anger is your strongest emotion and I had to make you angry for your new power to show." Kira looked at their hands and then up at his face.
"So you meant nothing of what you said?" She asked, a faint pink tinge appeared on hunters cheeks.
"No. The kiss was pretty amazing actually." Kira stared at him , eyes wide. To cover his embarrassment he lent over the table and kissed her softly on the cheek. He stood and nearly ran back to their class room, leaving Kira in a slight daze.
Kira didn't notice Cerys and Sam until they sat either side of her. They were both looking at her eyebrows raised. Kira chuckled perfect couple. She told them to leave it and abruptly changed to subject to bands.
