I just woke up from bed. Nothing great about it. It would be another routine, boring, tiring and whatsoever day, I thought. When I looked at the watch, I couldn't believe that I woke up so early. I can be on time to work today after many days and there wont be any bullying from a bull dog at work, I felt satisfied.
I'm a customer care executive at a call center of a leading mobile network. I'm one of those persons who attend your queries over phone introducing myself as "Hello, good afternoon, this is Rahul here, how may I assist you?" I talk, talk, talk and talk at work and I sleep at home. I stay alone in an apartment. I buy food from hotels, canteens, and from where ever there are edibles. I have no life other than talking, sleeping and eating.
I'm ready now to take off to work. But, I need to eat and it is one of the 3 things I do. I dropped in at the near by canteen on my way to work and had plentiful. Being the first customer for the day, the final bill is discounted by Rs.25. It is all fun, but these things never happened to me. So they are fishy as well. I will be travelling by bus today as I'm way early and the buses will be less crowded at this time. As I reached the bus stop, I saw a beautiful lady and she stopped right in front of me and offered me a lift on her Honda Activa. She is none other than the girl who sits beside at work. She is god damn gorgeous and cute. I see her daily and at every opportunity created. She even knows I'm seeing her and this is a welcome sign for all my hard work[seeing her] all these days. I readily accepted her offer and within few seconds I'm travelling with my dream girl.
We exchanged our numbers at the parking lot and talked for the first time, literally. Being in a customer care centre is no easy job. You get time to talk with the customer and not with colleagues and me being always late to work I didn't even had a change to talk to her even during lunch time as well.
We worked as usual and the only difference is we smiled at each other every time we looked at each other. Almost all the time. The bull dog came in wished me good morning. Surprised. Even he is surprised to see me early at work. After a while he called me to his cabin and talked to me about my promotion. He mentioned that I work hard and smart enough to get promoted and to lead a team but he is not happy will my timing I usually come to work. I accepted gracefully my mistake and I was promised a good position if I'm regular to work at time.
This is he first time I felt that everything is happening for me. Today is also the first day, a date rather, I'm having lunch with my dream girl or may be the girl who sit beside at work, you would say. We talked about a lot of things during our 30 minute break[read date] and we laughed a lot. Never been so happy in my life till now. With her beside me, life is so beautiful and life would be so happy with her, I confirmed.
What I thought to be a completely fishy day is turning out to be the best day of my life. We continued our work and even talked in between by saying "Please hold on while I retrieve the information" to the customer and keeping the call on hold. God, you are really great, I thanked.
It is the end of a beautiful day at work and we are back to her Activa to do the job for us. She dropped me at the very place she picked me up in the morning and dropped another big surprise along with it. She just proposed a beautiful life together. Man, holy heavens, is this really a reality, and is this really happening to me, I wondered and I asked the same to Kalpana. Won't you believe me? She quickly took her water bottle out of her bag and just splashed upon me in a quick second to make me believe.
That's it. I'm done. That powerful splash woke me up from my deep sleep. It was a beautiful dream and a start of another routine day. It would have been the day of my life ONLY IF it wasn't a dream.
