hi guys! so as you can see by the name, this writing challenge revolves around the month of ramadan. i made this challenge for three reasons –

i.              i love ramadan to infinity and beyond.

ii.             i was feeling particularly nostalgic this morning.

iii.            i was bored even though i have ton of homework and projects to do.

so without further ado...

THE PROMPTS –

01 – in which a character begins a Eid countdown/Ramadan countup.

02 – in which a character accidentally eats/drinks while fasting.

03 – in which a character attempts to cook Iftar for their family.

04 – in which a character pulls an all-nighter with a friend/sibling.

05 – in which a character goes to a gathering/party for Iftar.

06 – in which a character has a family bonding day or night.

07 – in which a character attempts to make homemade baklava with their dad.

08 – in which a character celebrates their birthday in Ramadan.

09 – in which a character has Suhoor outdoors (ie: in their backyard, local park) and stays their until after sunrise.

10 – in which a character tries Turkish coffee for the first time while visiting someone.

11 – in which a character and their friend/sibling make Eid wish lists and speculate about their presents.

12 – in which a character introduces a non-Muslim to Ramadan.

13 – in which a character cooks and eats Iftar with their friends.

14 – in which a character goes on road/day trip despite the fact that they are fasting.

15 – in which a character patience is tested when they get delayed somewhere and have to be late for Iftar.

16 – in which a character has to help their mother prepare for a (practically) grand feast at home.

17 – in which your character has an Arabic movie marathon.

18 – in which a character accidentally spills Vimto all over their clothes.

19 – in which a character is lonely and bored so they end up cleaning their room.

20 – in which a character shops for Eid clothes with their friends and mothers.

21 – in which a character attempts to stay up for 24 hours.

22 – in which a character learns something new about Ramadan.

23 – in which a character goes to a mosque for Friday prayer.

24 – in which a character shops for gifts.

25 – in which a character has to help their family prepare and clean the house for Eid.

26 – in which a character searches their house for gifts.

27 – in which a character stays up for Lailat Al-Qadr.

28 – in which a character makes Maamoul with their family.

29 – in which a character attempts to sleep early the night before eid.

30 – in which a character celebrates Eid and cherishes it with their family.
