Juanshou's POV
I came out of my room that was right by my brother, he practically ran out of his room almost running into me "Woah Ge (big brother) you seem happy today"
"Of cause Didi, we get to see our little brother in law and help him, he's so cute" I chuckle and shake my head ruffling his head before heading downstairs with him
"We should get Shuanghui up first," I said as we walked into the kitchen
"He's not here," mother said overhearing the conversation "he stayed with Xiao Tang, I tried to make him stay but he was mad that his big brothers left him at the hospital, he wanted to leave that badly he even gave me his money," She said pointing to the black wallet on the table before crossing her arms with an angry look
I and Kaihan looked at each other than at mother "sorry Mother" we both said at the same time "we will go and get him and show him our apology" I added at the end
"sit down and eat first then go get him" angry tone to her voice
we shake our heads "Ma, we'll get Shuanghui and take him for breakfast, as a treat for leaving him behind" she sighed and nodded and we both head out
We drove to Tang Kuanwo's house, we knew him well, he is our brother's closest friend, maybe only friend, he's richer than us but he lives in a shabby apartment, something about it being more comfortable, once we got there Kaihan bounded up to the door knocking eagerly "KNOCK KNOCK!! he shouted, he was childish and laid back but smart when he puts his mind to it
after a moment of a few bumps and bangs the door opened to reveal a shorter male with scruffy medium length hair and stubble, a tired look to his eyes "hello to the Li twins" he says in a groggy morning voice "what can I do for the both of you? "
"Ma said Didi is here," Kaihan said the way too cheerfully "so we come to get him"
he tilted his head slightly confused "He's not here" he walked away from the door leaving it open, but we wait outside, he walks back a few minutes later "he left this though" holding out a phone
I and Kaihan look at each other before I take the phone from Tang "do you know where my brother is?"
Tang shrugged "if he's not at home maybe he stayed with that kid" he walked back in again bringing out the company papers "you can take these to, he took the kids medicine, so maybe he stayed, I just thought he went home"
we both turned and started walking but I stopped turning back around "where does Xiao Kong live?"
Tang rolled his eyes and pulled out his phone sending a text, I look at my phone as it pings seeing Xiao Kong's address "if you find him let me know so I don't have to send a search party" I nod and head to the car where Kaihan is already waiting for me
Once we pulled up and Mengrui's house Kaihan happily pointed out Shuanghui's bike "He's here Didi" he said getting out of the car
I followed him and chuckled "he stayed here after telling mother he was staying with Tang" shaking my head with a grin on my face
Kaihan raced ahead practically jumping up the steps and knocking on the door by the time I got up the stairs the door was being swung open to reveal the shorter boy with long jet black hair from yesterday "Good morning Xiao Kong" I say in a greeting
he had a frown but smiled when he saw us "please tell me you come to take him"
Kaihan let out a laugh "did he do something?"
Mengrui sighed and shook his head "just take him"
I pat my hand on Mengrui's head "where is he?" I ask
he batted my hand away again and I grinned "still in bed I guess" he said taking a step back allowing us into the threshold
"thank you for having us," we both say together walking into the house, Mengrui shut the door behind us before he leads us up the stairs
he pointed to the bedroom "He's in there"
Kaihan swung the door open "DIDI WE COME... to get you" his voice went quieter before he turned and looked at me "He's asleep"
"Really," I say in disbelief poking my head through the door, seeing Shuanghui curled up on the floor, his expression peaceful and breathing slow and at ease "let him sleep, we can come to get him when he wakes" he stirred and so I quickly pull Kaihan out and quietly shut the door "we should let him sleep, he probably didn't when he was at the hospital wanting to watch over his Xiao Kong"
"don't call me his," The small boy said crossing his arms as I looked over at him "and he did sleep, he slept before I did"
we chuckled "I doubt it," Kaihan said walking back to the stairs "this is the first time I've seen him sleep anywhere but home and Tang's house, he doesn't even sleep at our house when he visits"
I nodded in agreement and follow my brother "we'll come and get him when he's awake" I get out my phone and texted Mengrui's phone "that's my number, I got your number from the company paperwork Tang gave me with your address"
A woman came out of one of the rooms downstairs as we were halfway down, she had long black silky hair, and was wearing a red dress that fell just short of her knees, she had a warm smile "oh who are these handsome men" she chimed in a soft comforting voice.
"Mother" Mengrui said leaning over the stair bannister
I and my brother grin and speak at the same time "we are Li Shuanghui's older brothers"
"I am Li kaihan the oldest" Kaihan said oh so happily
"and I'm Juanshou Kaihan's younger twin," I say after
She smiled at us, a warm gentle smile that would bring warmth to anyone who met her "it is nice to meet the both of you, It will be hard to tell the both of you apart"
Kaihan nodded smiling happily as he looked around a bit "It's nice to meet you Ayi" I say kindly, smiling back "I'm sorry about the trouble our father has caused and the lies he told"
Mengrui sighed and headed back up the stairs "where do you think you are going Mengrui, come down here and help me make our guests some tea and breakfast"
Mengrui sighed and headed back down with a smile on his face "this way" he said leading us into a living room, I look at Kaihan who was mirroring the same mischievous smile as me
"This is a nice place," Kaihan said as he took a seat
I nod in agreement sitting next to my brother "no wonder why Shuanghui was able to sleep, maybe it's because Xiao Kong is a lot like Didi after all" I said facing my brother
"Don't compare me to that idiot" Mengrui snapped making me and Kaihan look at him
Kaihan's grin turned into a devilish smirk "is there a reason you are so cold-hearted to my baby brother, if he's done something to hurt you or anything he has done wrong to you, I'll sort him out for you"
"Pay him no mind to his harsh ways," the woman from before said bringing a tray of tea in setting it on the coffee table in the centre "it is his way of putting up a wall as to not get hurt, he seems to only be kind to Xiao Dong and I" Mengrui let out a sigh and sat down with a book only for it to be pulled from his hands "don't you sit down, breakfast is ready shortly, you need to go and get Xiao Li up
"Yes mother" he huffed out and stood up walking out of the room
Kaihan reached out to stop him a worried look on his face "wait... but" he looked at me as I pulled him back
"don't worry age, I don't think he will hurt Mengrui," I say giving him a reassuring smile
Mengrui's POV
I knocked on the door before opening it and frowned seeing the bed empty "where is he?" I was about to walk out when I saw something move behind the bed, walking around the bed I see a large figure lying on the floor cuddling the pillow like an innocent child "Are you sleeping like that?" I question the sleeping form nudging him with my foot "Idiot wake up"
I jumped back a bit as he groaned, his voice groggy and sleepy "leave me alone" he groaned out keeping his eyes shut
"Mother said to get you up so get up" I grumbled out slightly annoyed kicking him in the side a little
He rolled over facing his back to me "make me" he groaned out shortly after the kick
I grab his arm pulling him back onto his back landing a punch on his chest which he grunts "GET UP IDIOT"
next thing I knew I was being pulled to the floor and arms wrapped tightly around me stopping my arms from moving, I squirm in the hold "in a minute" he gruffed out
I glared at him "Get off me" I said swinging my legs in an attempt to kick him
he wrapped his legs around mine and pinned me down to stop me from moving, he had a smirk on his lips and was staring at me "Answer my question first and I'll think about letting you go"
I stopped struggling and frowned "what question?" I demanded
"Why do you hate me" hurt evident in his voice
I frowned at him, hearing the hurt in those words made my heart feel like it stopped "I don't hate you" I mumbled out "I just.... don't trust strangers, we may be married but we are still strangers, I don't know anything about you and I'm not sure I want to if..." I stop hearing a voice
"what's taking so" one of the twins walked in, staring at us "long" he finished saying after a pause, I and Shuanghui looked up towards the door and Shuanghui finally let go of me
