Burning Tree

There is but one left of this burning forest

The burning man

laughs

and

dances

knowing he has

won.

But he is like the south

He is fighting a battle that he shale lose.

He smiles as my leaves

into the river of

Depression.

The forest is black and gray full of ash

The animals have left

All but two

The Owl and Wolf stand alone with me.

But tonight I'll

My tears of gasoline

Hoping

and

Praying

that one day your soft rain will fall and I'll see your

Bright smile.

As I stand alone now

The owl, wolf, and I

The burning man gives a cry of

Victory

But for what he can not see is you're

Branded into me.

So tonight I'll cry myself to sleep with these

tears of gasoline

Fuelling the fire and his hope.

The owl and wolf look at me

through all the burning

smoke

I'm softly weeping now

Destroying

All their hope.

The Burning Man smiles

but what he doesn't know is

Like the tree

I am utterly

Alone

In a CROWD I can't tell they're around

for

I

Am

The

Burning

Tree

My leaves not falling to the ground

instead the river of depression

that slowly pulls me
