Skeppy: do u like talking to me? am i ur friend?
badboyhalo: Of course I like talking to you! and i guess so, yeah we're friends.
Skeppy: aw thanks bad

badboyhalo: I guess so, but why? Its so late, Zak I don't even know why you're up.

Skeppy: just talk to me until i fall asleep
Skeppy: i dont feel like playing videogames at this hourrr

INCOMING CALL FROM: badboyhalo
Accept Decline
connecting...
I rub my eyes, slowly blinking, and put my phone to my ear.
"Hey, Bad." I say quietly into the phone.
There's silence for a few seconds, when Darryl replies.
"You sure are quiet for once."
"Whatever, you pinecone."
"So, what's up? Why can't you sleep? Are you okay?" Darryl asks out of concern.
"Dunno. But yeah, I'm alright."
"Well, let's try and get you to go to sleep."
For the next hour after that, we just..talk over the phone. About ourselves, our family, I can even remember Darryl humming some song for me at some point. It reminded me of when my mom used to sing me to sleep.
"Your voice is nice."
"Thanks?" Darryl answers, lightly laughing. Not like his usual loud laugh when we played Minecraft together. This laugh was a short, relaxed one.
Moments of silence pass.
"Skeppy? You there?" he asks. Being half-asleep already, I decide to not answer. I close my eyes, and the last thing I hear before drifting off is a goodnight from Darryl, and him hanging up.
That night, I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
