Peter started at his class, dumbstruck. No. This - this can't be happening. Of all things that could have happened, why this?
He looked at Ned and MJ, only to see them snickering. Those traitors, he thought. He felt Flash glaring at him, and Mr. Harrington looked like he was about to explode.
Peter walked out the door of the training room, closing it with a quiet click. That's when it started.
"Mr. Parker!" Mr. Harrington shouted. "I didn't give you a permission slip because you were suspended, and yet you still found out and decided to come along!"
"But I'm here for-"
"No, Mr. Parker! You are not here for any good reason! And so help me, don't you dare say it's because of your fake internship! Everyone wants to be popular, but you have taken this too far!"
Peter looked at the ground.
"Leave! Now! Go back to your-"
Mr. Harrington was interrupted by a crashing sound coming from the vents. Peter could tell that it was Clint from the muffled swears that only his super senses could pick up.
Clint jumped out of the vent, looking pissed.
"Come on, Clint? What are you doing here?" Peter said.
"Peter! That is no way to talk to an adult, an avenger no less!" Mr. Harrington said angrily.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Hawkeye, I was just telling a student of mine who did not have permission to be here to leave." Mr. Harrington told Clint.
"I'm not mad at Pete, I'm mad at you." Clint said, glaring at the teacher.
"FRIDAY, please tell Tony that he needs to get down here immediately."
"He has been notified and is not on his way," the AI responded.
