With stars in her eyes and wind in her hair
She held a smile that could stop time
A heart that was ever so kind
I was so blessed to have called her mine
For even the briefest of moments
She made so special
Her love brought warmth to my heart
And light into my life
She'd replaced the darkness within me
With that bright glow of her soul
It's a shame I couldn't do the same for her
I was too dark and twisted
To broken and bruised
To fill the void I was bringing into her world
By sucking all of her light
I wish I could take it all back
And be a better man
To the woman who'd saved my life.
Only to have hers taken at my hand.
