New Duo
3: Did you know that you were naturally pink. Or was this also a first for you ?
8 suddenly had a sad look on her face
8: Well...I dont know exactly...I lost all my memories after all
3 then had a sudden realization of what he said
3: Oh.... "I really need to learn when to think before I speak"

He was cut off before he could finish
8: Its ok. I know you didn't mean it
3 felt bad. He didn't mean to do any harm but he unknowingly did
8: But its ok
3 was confused. He thought she was going to be upset about it
8: What I lack in old memories...I can make up with new ones. And a few memories will come by hear and there
3 couldn't help but smile. She seemed surprisingly positive about the situation
8: And besides. I have someone here to help me with making new memories
3 laughed. He knew that she was referring to him
3: Thats the spirit. And its about time I help out then. Lets wait a bit more. And soon. We will make our way down to the plaza for a game of Turf War

20 minutes have passed by. The clothes have been both washed and dried. 3 then gives 8 her clothes back.
3: Here you go 8. Just put them on and we'll make our way to play some Turf
8: Thanks 3
She goes into her room and proceeds to put them on. She then comes out changed into her clothes she previously had on (default clothes)
3: Huh? That was fast ?
8: What do you mean ? I just did what you told me to do
He was speechless. He knew what she was referring too. He couldn't help but laugh
3: Ha. Anyways. Are you ready to go 8
8: You bet. Im so excited.
They exited the door. And right when he was about to lock the door he realized he had forgotten something
3: Oh thats right. My weapon
He goes back inside and goes to his room to find his weapon. 8 follows 3 into his room as well cause she didn't know what to do. 3 noticed but wasn't bothered
3: Ah. Here it is
He picks up his Hero Shot Replica
3: So. How does it look 8 ?
He asked trying to show off. 8 however just stares at him. She had a slight uneasy feeling for some reason.
3: 8...you ok
He walks forward a little bit. He sees that she wasn't fully there. Her eyes seemed lifeless.
One second she sees him walking up worried. The next she zones out and is envisioning something. 8 sees a sudden images flash in her eyes.
"She sees a mysterious figure glaring down at her. They were standing on top of something that was flying in the air.
In the background music can be heard. It was loud enough to where it was echoing in the arena that they were in. The song felt awfully familiar. But she can't quite make out the most of what it is
She was confused to why she was seeing something like that. Was it a memory of an event that happened in the past. Or was it something else ?"
Before she could continue thinking more about it, 3 had shaken her out of her train of thought
3: Hey...HEY. Are you alright ? You zoned out for a bit
8: Huh...what? Y-yeah. Im fine. Sorry. Its just that I thought I saw something. But it was probably nothing
3: Ok then....oh that reminds me. Do you have a weapon
8: A weapon?
3: Yeah. I thought I saw you have one
8: Yeah I do. Hold on
She goes into her room to grab her OctoShot. She then comes back to 3's room
8: Here it is
She shows 3 her OctoShot. 3 then sees an image of 8 quickly flash before his eyes. Only she looked more hostile than friendly. 8 noticed that he was zoned out for a second as well
8: You ok 3
3: What....oh yeah Im fine. Just.....déjà vu
8 had a confused look on her face. Like she had no idea what 3 said or meant
3: Anyways lets get going. We don't want to be late.
8: Right
They both head out the door and proceed to make their way to the Deca Tower (a.k.a the lobby)

3 and 8 proceeded to make their way to the plaza. And it seemed a little quit. Usually it would be full of people even this early but 3 assumed most people slept in
3: That reminds me. You do know how to play turf war. Correct
8: Sort of. I managed to play a small amount of it in the DeepSea Metro. So I should have a good idea of it
3: Well thats great to hear. Guess we should both have an easy time playing.
They continued to make there way towards the lobby. But they managed to run towards a few road blocks. Apparently people had recognized the duo.
Random Guy 1: Yo is that him
Random Guy 2: Hey it is
All of a sudden a whole conversation between everyone in plaza had formed.
3: Well isn't that great
He said sarcasticly. He also let out a deep sigh
Random Guy 3: You totally kicked his ass bro
Random Girl 1: Tell your friend I said hi
At this point he knew they were just teasing them
Random Guy 4: Thanks for getting us the free food
3 apparently heard and disliked that comment. He still felt bad about what Sean had to do. 8 had noticed that 3 looked slightly sad
8: Hey....are you ok ?
3: Yeah...Im fine. Lets get going before things get crazy
He grabbed 8's hand and quickly made their way into the tower
3: Well here we are
8: Woah !!!
8 sees the inside of the tower. Within she sees many screens showing ongoing turf wars. Many different inklings with different weapons. More types that she can count. And furniture that was completely different from 3's sofa
3: Quite the view huh 8. This is were people come to have fun. And compete to be the best
8: Its amazing. I didn't think Inkopolis had something like this
3: If you think this is something. Just wait till you try out Salmon Run
He said teasing 8
3: Well we should probably register you in
3 grabs 8's hand and proceeds to walk her towards the registration desk
3: Excuse me
Worker: Hello. How may I help you
3: I was wondering if you can register my friend here
Worker: No problem. And were is your friend
3: Right here
He shows 8 off to the worker.
Worker: Oh its an octoling !
She said in a cheery surprised voice.
Worker: Its so nice to meet you. We don't get many Octoling joining so its a real delight to have you here. Is this your first time
8 replied in a shy tone
8: Y-yes. It is
Worker: Well thats really nice. Let me get you registered up right away
She said with a smile
Worker: And whats your name sweety
3's eyes widen
3: *In his head* "Oh fuck"
8: Um...my...name...
8 didn't know what to say. She didn't really have a name. She didn't even know if she had a name before. There was just awkward silence for a few seconds. 3 then had to break the silence
3: On second thought can we just get a visitors pass. I didn't bring enough money to pay for her registration
Worker: Sure. No problem. Just give me a moment
She went to go get a pass for 8
3: Well.....that sucked. Are you ok 8.
He tried to get a reply from her. He was hoping she would be alright not knowing her name
8: Yeah...Im just trying to remember...
3: Easy 8. Don't force it on yourself. Your memory will come back in time. So for now lets not worry about it
8: You're right.
The work lady had just came back with 8's guest pass
Worker: And here you go. One guess pass for you
She hands 8 her pass
Worker: Hope you enjoy Turf War
She said happily
3: Thank you
8 nods and thanks her as well
8: Thank you ma'am
They both leave and proceed to head into the waiting room for more players to join

3: So. You excited for your first Turf War match
8: Yes...but something inside me feels...nervous
3: Dont worry. Everyone is like that their first time trying turf. Even i was believe it or not
8: Really ?
3: Yeah. I even lost my first match. But that was because the other team was better. But me and my teammates still had fun
He said smiling looking back at his first experience
8: But...who knows what might happen.
3: Well thats the best part. You never know how things may go down. But that doesn't make it a bad thing. Like we might go up against each other or we might be paired together.
He gently grabbed 8's hand to comfort her
3: So don't worry about it. Everything will be fine
8 smiles back
8: You're right. I was worrying to much about it. Thanks 3
He smiles back. Suddenly they both hear 2 more Inklings coming
3: And just on time. More players

Two more Inklings then enter the waiting room with 3 and 8
Random Inkling Boy: Come on babe. Lets hurry before the next Rotation happens
Random Inkling Girl: Alright alright just wait. This thing is pretty heavy you know
Random Inkling Boy: I offered to help but you said you were ok
Random Inkling Girl: I only said that cause I didn't want to slow you down. This is your last chance to make it to S rank and I wanted to make sure you got it. So I wasn't trying to weigh you down
Random Inkling Boy: Well to me it looks like the only one being weighed down is you with that Dynamo Roller
He said teasingly. He then goes and helps the female inkling
Random Inkling Boy: That should do it. Lets check if anyone else is here
The two inklings then look around and see 3 and 8 sitting down together. 3 and 8 also make eye contact with the other inklings
3 and the other inklings: Hey its you !
They all go quite for a few seconds. 3 then spoke up
3: You're the guy from yesterday right?
(The inkling boy is from chapter 1. A.K.A Random Guy 6)
Random Guy 6: Yup. Thats me. Gotta say I wasn't expecting to see you here today
3: Me neither. And who's this with you
Random Guy 6: Oh. She's my girlfriend
(The girl with the Kensa Dynamo Roller from chapter 1)
3 is surprised
3: Oh so it was her then !?
Random Guy 6: Yup. She was at the store from yesterday as well
Inkling Girl: Oh hey I recognize you two
Random Guy 6: You do ?
Inkling Girl: Yeah. Me and him had the same class together at school a few years ago
She said pointing to 3
Inkling Girl: Oh!? And she's the Octoling that I told you about
She said pointing at 8
Random Guy 6: Oh so I guess we all know each other. I think ?
Inkling Girl: Hey. Do you remember me from yesterday ?
She walked up to 8. She replied slightly nervous
8: Yeah...thank you for letting me try your roller
Inkling Girl: No problem. I however am surprised how you managed to carry it with ease. Even I have trouble with it sometimes.
8: Oh. I just had a lot of practice with different types of weapons
Inkling Girl: That is so cool. No wonder why you managed to hold it so easily
3: That reminds me. I never got your name yesterday
Random Guy 6: Me ? The name is Ryan(y/n). And Im sure you already know who she is by now
He points towards Inkling Girl
Inkling Girl: The name is Remi(Y/n). In case you had forgotten
She said jokingly
Remi(y/n): Oh. That reminds me !
She looks at 8
Remi(y/n): I never got your name. You ran off before I can ask. What is it if I may ask
3 and 8 stay silent. After a few seconds 8 decided to speak up
8:....8
Remi(y/n): 8?
3 then quickly interrupts
3: Ugh. What she meant to say was that there is 8 of us now. 4 more people came in. Heh
Remi and Ryan look behind them and see the other group of inklings
Ryan(Y/n): Nice. At this rate I should reach S rank in no time
Remi(Y/n): We have to win this match first. So don't get your hopes up
While the couple were busy talking to each other. 3 was busy trying to see who his opponents were. They had looked familiar for some reason. He tried to get better look at them. All of a sudden his eyes widened in fear. He knew who that group of inklings were. It was the guy from yesterday and his group of friends
3: Aw Fuck
One of the guys teammates overheard 3 and looked his way. Only to see it was him. He quickly told his friend
3: No no no why here of all places !?
He said in slightly worried
Ryan(y/n): Is something wrong ?
3: No No. Nothing at all
All of a sudden the inkling that 3 had knocked out starts walking towards him. 3 sees him and had to prepare for what was about to come. Ryan(y/n) on the other hand had noticed both 3 and the other inkling and knew something was up. But he just stayed quite and observant. The other inkling and 3 are now face-to-face. The other inkling glared at 3 in anger and 3 gave a cold glare back. Both trying to intimidate the other. And at this point it was a waiting game. They both waited to see what the other would do or say. Whatever it may be. And just at the perfect time
Loudspeaker: "Both teams please enter into your spawn gates and prepare for battle"
3: You heard. Get too it
The other inkling walks away with his teammates. And 3 then does the same
Ryan(y/n): Hate to be that guy. But do you want to explain what that was about ?
3: Um....its a very long story. I will explain after the match if thats alright with you
Ryan(y/n): Ok then. Just try to relax. I know its none of my buisness but Im just trying to help
3: I appreciate it. Thanks
He said with a slight smile and a thumbs up. They all then enter into their spawn points.
3: Oh thats right. This is the spawn gate. Its basically a last minute preparation room. And once we are done we take these right here
He shows 8 a tray with 4 wrist watches
8: What are they for ?
3: They are really important for Turf Wars. Its like a portable mini map. You can see a teammates location so you can superjump to them and it shows you what parts of the map is covered in ink. And it shows how much time is left until the match ends
He proceeds to hand one to her. 8 puts on the wrist watch
3: That should be everything to know. You are officially prepared for turf war
8: Thats it? I thought there would be more to it
3: Well you still need to battle. And I said anything can happen. So yeah
Ryan(y/n): You guys ready ?
3: Yeah. Sorry for the hold up
He said while putting his wrist watch on
Ryan(y/n): Ok then. Off to Blackbelly Skatepark
They all receive the coordinates and proceed to superjump onto their spawn points

They all land on their spawn points at Blackbelly Skatepark and proceed to wait for the countdown to begin
3: You guys ready
Ryan(y/n): Yeah. Ready to win
Remi(y/n): You bet we are
8 nods her head
3: Good. Get ready
The countdown had begun
Loudspeaker: 10...9...8...
While the countdown was going Ryan(y/n) asked 3 a question
Ryan(y/n): Probably not the time. But were you by any chance the guy that kicked that guys ass yesterday
There was an awkward silence from everbody
3: *sigh*...Yes
Ryan(y/n): Yeah. I had a feeling you did it
Loudspeaker: 3...2...1...GO!
