sinking ship
Have you ever felt
You were on a sinking ship
Water rushing in on you
The end of life's trip
You stand panicked and alone
No where to go
Water to your knees
Darkness eating your soul
You feel no desire
To swim or to float
No reason to carry on
A heart empty of hope
The bubbles above you
The last breaths of air
Close your eyes one last time
No one seems to care
But think before you sigh no more
Of those left behind
And remember this sinking ship
Is all in your mind
Open those eyes wide
And take your deepest breath
Suck in the water around you
Don't give in to 'Death'
Drink that ocean dry
And walk back to the shore
Spat the water back again
And live forever more
We all have been on sinking ships
But Captains we are not today
Let the ship sink by itself
And find a better way
