Alone
So alone in a helpless world
Into a black pit she was hurled
She lost her love, so she no longer cares
How she, or anyone else fares
She's withdrawn into herself and does nothing but cry
Many think that of a broken heart she will die
She knows not what she can do, or what she will
For she knows that she loves him still
Occasionally she will see him around
But her cry is the only sound
That she can hear
She longs for him to say “I love you dear,
Please forgive me and hold me near”
But now he is gone, and that is the only thing that is clear
