Chapter 7
I was walking up the front steps of his house. Was I nervous? Of course I was nervous. I was asked to a dinner to meet Zander William’s parents. How could this be happening? I don’t even know why I said yes these kinds of things only made me more nervous than I already am in a casual day. Then again when he had asked me Brenda was squealing like an over-exited pig (she really was). I rang the doorbell and it was quickly answered. “Hey” Zander said casually. He gave me an elevator look more times than needed “You look goooooddddd.” It was stupid how he dragged the word. I slightly slapped him on the shoulder. When I walked in my dress floated slightly. I really hated this if I had the choice I would’ve just warn jeans and my “Tigger is that you?” t-shirt but my mom insisted that I wore something fancier. She forced me to wear something that I would normally wear to church. It was a floral dress that I found pretty it’s just that it wasn’t for me. But I’d convinced my mom into letting me wear my favorite pear of purple converse so it still had a touch of Ilena. “Oh hi Ilena I didn’t know you were coming.” Zander’s mom said. I looked over at him with a dirty face. What kind of lam-o invites someone to meet the parents and don’t even tell the parents. Thankfully before it could become any more awkward Jamie cam skipping down the stairs. She was wearing a pretty yellow dress and she looked way more comfortable in it then me.
“Doesn’t someone look royal” I said before curtsying. She giggled and ran to give me a hug that only reached my knees.”Do you wanna play with me?” she asked. “Of course.” I said “Hop on!” I piggy backed her and imitated the sound of an airplane. I spread out my arms and skipped into the living room. I stopped in front of the couch. “Attention passengers we’re are about to crash land. Fasten your seat belts!” I suddenly dropped her on the couch. She gave me nothing but giggles. “Oh look Jamie has fallen into the ocean” I grabbed the couch pillow that she was sitting on and rocked so it would felt like she was on waves. I looked up and into the kitchen (A.N: The living room and kitchen are in the same room kinda like a big open space.) I saw that both Zander and his mom were staring at me smirking playfully. It was funny how they both had the same smirk. I blushed furiously and stopped rocking Jamie. I cleared my throat. “Come on Jamie maybe we should sit down.” I walked towards the table and sat down. “Fine but I’m going to sit beside you.” Zander quickly took the seat that Jamie wanted. “Hey!” she screamed I shot Zander a big dirty looked while he held a nice grin that I hated to admit but he looked so cute doing it.
“It’s okay you can sit on the other seat beside me.” I felt a hot breath on my neck I didn’t turn around but he spoke “Someone’s good with kids; note for the future.” I knew what he was talking about and I started blushing even more. I was forced to start slapping my cheeks so they’d return to their pale selves. He was crazy if he thought that I was ever going to do that with him... he was mistaken. He may as well move to (T) Sexax while I went to Virgin (ia) beach. (A.N: Warning: Lame jokes like this may be occurred during the whole book so be prepared :P) Suddenly there was a ring at the doorbell. Zander’s mom went to go answer it. You could hear the low voice of the person standing outside the door. The voice that cause Zander to freeze up but when he realized that I was staring he gave me a cheesy line “See something you like?” he said doing some mad eyebrow action (not so cute). Right when I was about to reply someone who look strangely a lot like Zander came into the dining room. I kept looking at his dad and back, dad and back. His mom broke the silence “Why didn’t you open the door whit your keys.” “I tried” he explained “but it didn’t work!” they went outside to go check while they were outside Zander whispered in my ear “I hired a guy to switch the lock and my mom’s keys...” I laughed but then stopped myself and gave him a shame-on-you face. He just gave me a smile.
Finally they came back and his dad sat down at the table. “So son...” Mr. Danuta started. Zander winced at the word son. What had happened between them? In psychology they did say that people aren’t ever used to separation and tend to get mad at the person who left but he dislike his dad so much to change his last name that couldn’t be it. Zander’s mom came in and out of the dining room table each time bringing in a new dish. I was literally drooling. My parents were always doing weird things so when it was diner time they were already tangled up in some mess so we ended up ordering take out. Things like pizza, Chinese food, subs, etc. were our go to supper. “Who is this girl you’ve invited?” I hardly heard what he said because I was eyeing all the food but I still responded emptily “I’m Ilena I got to his school.” “She’s my girlfriend.” Zander added with a smirk. Or should I say, lied with an evil smirk. I was about to respond but Zander put his hand on my thigh and that meant on bear skin since I was wearing a dress. We was going higher and higher meaning for me to shut up. I bit my lip and grabbed his hand to hold it and raise it over the table.
His mom must have heard us because she started squealing. “Oh that’s so great she’s so much better than Nina!” she exclaimed. I chuckled inside of my head because he was still whit her. I decided to play a game here “Nina who’s this Nina you’re talking about I thought the last person you went out with was Melissa?” I asked. Zander gave me a confused look good he didn’t know where I was going. “Oh no now it’s clear. Melissa was just the girl that you were eating up at a party but at the time you were still with Nina.” Mr. Danuta’s fork fell on to his plate but Zander’s mom didn’t react I guess she was used to all of Zander’s tricks and stuff. But Jamie kept on eating happily and smiling I could hear her whisper “It’s almost desert time! It’s almost desert time.” I would laugh but I was too busy observing the tension between Zander and his dad. “Son—” “Don’t call me that.” Zander snapped. “Can I see you in the office?!” I heard Zander mumble: “I’m surprise you know where stuff is.”
Zander’s POV
He shut the door to the office and he started tapping his foot on the ground arms crossed and his faint moustache wiggling (which was really creepy!) “So this is what you’ve been doing while I was gone. Going to parties, getting drunk what’s next you’ll be setting things on fire?!” I looked at him with a blank expression. “And your mother you know that she’s not one that can’t control these things that’s she’s very weak and fragile.” That’s when I talked back “And yet you still went and hurt her I guess it’s where I got it from.” He looked slightly surprised but stayed calm. “I know I’ve done mistakes in that pass but as you father I need to make sure that you my son doesn’t make the same ones.” “You shouldn’t even be allowed to call me that! You see I don’t give anything about you or what you think. I liked it better when you didn’t come around and we acted like we didn’t exist to each other.” I was about to turn away when I quickly added. “Oh and I was the one who changed the lock and switched mom’s key it was to keep away things like you.” I said cold and harshly before walking away. I heard him call after me but I just ignored and walked out the door.
Ilena’s POV
I heard yelling and screaming and Zander on the edge of swearing but even Zander wouldn’t cross that line right?! Finally the door opened and out came a furious Zander. “Zander wait!” I called I ran out and caught him in his car about to start the engine. I quickly got in to the car because I knew he wouldn’t drive away with me there ...I hoped. “Get out.” He said I didn’t budge. “Get out!” he yelled I flinched but still didn’t move. “Get out!” he screamed again but this time he punched the side of my seat.
There had been plenty of rumors that Zander could be a little aggressive at times. He would sometimes come to school with bruises and black eyes. (A.N: For people who really pay attention you can tell that half of those bruises he got where from walking on the stairs!! Lol you may not think it’s true but guys are actually that clumsy so whenever a guy comes with a cast or something make sure you don’t ask them in front of a crowd of they’ll most likely lie... J) I was so scared that tears were rolling down on my cheeks. But then realized that I wasn’t crying because I was scared. That was only part of it but mostly because he’d actually tried to punch me. In all that you’d think I would run out crying all the way home but it was different then from the time I ran from Nina. That was fear this right now was compassion I felt bad for him so I was crying for Zander since he wasn’t able to cry himself. Thru the tears I managed to say “I’m not leaving so stop pushing me away.” We stayed in silence until I broke it again.
“I-I’m so-so sorry. I shouldn’t have played that kind of dirty trick.” “It’s okay” he finally answered, “No it’s not! I cause you and your dad to fight. Maybe you guys could’ve made peace and bonded.” He grabbed my hand “Ilena it’s fine.” “Not it’s not.” I kept on rambling about how his dad has been out of reach for so long and when he finally comes back I mess things up. Suddenly he pulled me into a hug. I stayed there and then finally hugged him back. When we pulled away we just stared at each other. I was just giving him a casual look (which probably meant blushing) and he was looking at me with really focus intense eyes. He was so focused on me, his gaze danced across my face. Then he started coming closer and closer. Until I could feel his breath on my face. I started blushing furiously, even more than usual so I turned away. When I turned back I would’ve said ‘Why are you looking at me like that?’ but I didn’t get to because Zander’s lips where on mine. I know that I didn’t know a lot about dating and all but I’ve read a lot about hem (even though most were either in space or some kind of monster attacked later) but Zander was definitely kissing me.
Zander Williams was kissing me?!

Hmm? What’s going to happen how is Ilena going to react. Will she push him away and will it be over just like that and maybe I’ll make a sequel where they meet ten years later and get back together and junk? (Don’t worry I would never do that I’m not gonna write I mean how can Zander flirt with Ilena when he’s old I mean that’s creeper and GROSS!!) Anyways my next update will probably be in a week or so. That means not as quick as this one was I think?! I’m slowly getting more and more fans and readers and that gets me pumped so keep on reading, voting, commenting.
