Peridot had been busy after little homeworld was built trying to create a new life. Peridot had discovered accounts of secret archives revealing the secret of Gemlings. A gem carried the gemling until the day of delivering much like a human pregnancy, this was outlawed 8,000 years ago by the diamonds but no one knew about it. Peridot was hopefully carrying geodes, the only way to find out was to connect herself to a monitor. She swallowed hooking her body up to the monitor. The screen was loading then it printed as receipt, it was positive, Peridot was carrying Lapis Lazuli's geodes. She nearly squealed in excitement this was what she had been dreaming of.
"Lapis" Peridot scurried down the stairs to see Lapis on the couch.
"Guess what" Peridot said cheerfully
"Chicken butt" Lapis snorted and Peridot huffed.
"I was gonna tell you but not with that answer" Peridot looked away and Lapis sighed
"What is it"
"I'm carrying" Peridot smiled and Lapis was struck with reality.
"You mean we're gonna be parents" her eyes sparkled and Peridot nodded. They hugged each other enjoying the embrace they both wanted this so much.
"We're gonna be the best parents ever" Peridot kissed Lapis
"I know we are" Lapis kissed Peridot.
