The rays of the sun lit up the road and engulfed her body with comfortable warmth.

How beautiful it is to stroll around town. How much she loved the bright sun.

The fresh breeze hit against her skin like ocean waves. She closed her eyes for a second and took a deep breath.

A few more steps and she reached the hairdressing salon. It was a recommendation of a close friend of hers.

"Hi there! Welcome to Manoban Cuts!"

The name sounded kind of scary. More fitting for a haunted house but the blonde that excitedly welcomed her, naturally made her smile in return and keep those thoughts to herself.

"Hello. I made a reservat--"

"Yes, yes! I remember your voice! Ms. Park Chaeyoung right?"

"That's right." Chaeyoung nodded.

"Let me." The blonde offered, eyes drifting to Chaeyoung's bag before she took it from her shoulders to place it aside.

"Thank you."

"No problem!"

Other than Chaeyoung and that woman, there were three more hairdressers present who were busy tending to their customers.

"So," The blonde pointed to an empty seat. "Ready?"

Chaeyoung nodded, yes. "More than ready."

"Do you want me to wash it first?"

"No, thank you. I have already done that before I came." Chaeyoung declined politely.

"Eager, are we?" The blonde threw her a bright eye smile. "Well, then."

Chaeyoung sat on the red chair as the blonde put a black gown around her to keep her clean from the hair she is about to cut.

"Your hair is so pretty," The blonde said, her fingers brushing against the light strands. "Are you sure you want me to cut it?"

As Chaeyoung looked into the mirror she noticed how her cheeks became rosy. She was a sucker for sweet words.

"Yes, please. It's enough if you trim it and dye it a shade darker. I was thinking of chestnut brown."

"Hm," The blonde stood behind her, spraying water on her hair while she brushed it with a comb. "Making a pretty woman even prettier? I love my job." The tall woman mumbled behind her but Chaeyoung heard it.

The warmth from her cheeks creeped to her ears. "I'm not..." She dismissed with a red face.

"Lying is not good, you know."

"Last time I checked this was a hairdressing salon and not a sweets shop."

"Touché." She uttered, brushing her soft hair. "You must get a lot of compliments."

"Not really," Chaeyoung shook her head, so the blonde positioned her head properly and told her not to move since she was about to use a scissors.

"Only from my boyfriend."

A short silence followed her statement.

"Boyfriend, huh? He better shower you with compliments." The blonde finally said with a smirk.

"He does." Chaeyoung smiled shyly.

In the background the radio was playing pop songs. Chaeyoung hummed along when she recognised a few songs.

"Your voice really is beautiful." The woman admitted truthfully.

Chaeyoung remembered that she was able to recognise her only by her voice when they have spoken for like 20 seconds on the phone.

"Thank you..."

She worked with her scissors passionately between snips and cuts, playing with her strands here and there.

At some point Chaeyoung fluttered her eyes shut and listened to the metal cutting feverishly.

It went like that for almost 40 minutes.

When she opened her eyes, she has never been more surprised in her life.

Okay, maybe there was that one time she miraculously landed her dream job which was a big surprise.

But unlike that time, this one wasn't a pleasant surprise.

"Mam." Chaeyoung called the blonde over.

"Yes?" She asked looking at her eyes through the mirror.

"Why do I look like a peach?"

She was thinking of screaming but didn't want to look like a complete fool.

"We didn't have anymore brown hair dye left and I thought peaches and chestnuts are similar enough in shape."

"What do you mean shape!? It's about color!"

The blonde furrowed her eyebrows.

"Is that so? I got blonde hair because bananas are tall, so am I."

Chaeyoung mentally slapped herself.

"And you are sweet like a peach, so."

Those words didn't affect her, she was too upset with her hair. She would gain a lot of strange glances if she went out looking like that chick from Lazy Town.

However, she had no other choice. She promised to meet up with Chanyeol in a few.

Chaeyoung grunted displeased.

"This so not the end. You will hear from me again." She threatened even though it didn't sound like a threat to the other, at all. It sounded more like a promise she loved to hear.

The peach girl walked away in a hurry since her boyfriend doesn't like waiting.

"You forgot to pay!"

She called after her but she didn't hear.

"...It's fine. Then it's on me." The hairdresser didn't mind. She liked cutting her hair.

"Hey Lalisa!" Her coworker punched her shoulder. "I saw what you did to the girl, stop giving us a bad reputation."

"I did not," Lisa smiled. "In fact she said she will be back." She threw the other a cocky smirk. "I'm sure she has taking a liking to the art I create."

---

Chaeyoung hated her hair. She didn't like to stand out weirdly.

"Oh my god." Chanyeol said, surprising her from behind.

Chaeyoung shivered. He didn't like it, did he? What if he's going to break up with her now?

"That ugly?"

"No! It's beautiful. You look like cherry blossoms. You like those don't you?" He adorably squinted his eyes, making a dimple visible as he took her beauty in and put her in his arms. "My human cherry blossom."

Perhaps she didn't hate her hair, after all.

A happy smile graced her lips. She really loved cherry blossoms and Chanyeol loving it, makes her like it even more.

She will make sure to thank that woman properly.

"Hop on." He guided her to his black motorcycle. "Let's not be late for work. I need to show my girl off to everyone."

"Stop it!" She cooed, embarrassed by his remark.

---

"Make it stop Jisoo." Jennie said irritated by the one flickering light on the ceiling.

She feared it's going to stop like the rest.

"I already told you I can't make it stop Jennie."

"Think of something... I know! You are a hacker right? Break in the system and make the elevator open." Jennie requested.

"You are a lawyer, so you are aware that's illegal. I only hack legally. Besides I don't have my equipment and I'm pretty sure someone needs to manually take us out of here."

"You are no fun." Jennie muttered deflated.

"Is a lawyer asking me to break the law?" Jisoo raised her eyebrows.

"Just because I'm a lawyer doesn't mean I don't break the law." Jennie murmured, face void of emotions whatsoever, gaining Jisoo's full attention.

"Elaborate, Ms. Kim."

"In my career I encountered strange, yet heartbreaking cases." Jennie spoke quietly. "Most of the time I use the law to fight for the rights of others... but sometimes I had to defend people from the law."

Jisoo noticed how Jennie's voice became smaller and smaller. Like she was shrinking in her spot.

"Because there are occasions, where it's worth spit on it."

"Jen--"

"For example when one had to pee and is stuck in an elevator but her stupid neighbour won't break the law to save her."

Moment ruined but Jisoo played along. She knew very well Jennie was just trying to lift the mood since it threatened to become depressive.

Jisoo gasped dramatically.

"What stupid person wouldn't save their elevator buddy!? I would break the law anytime for you!" The raven wiggled her eyebrows.

"Really?"

"Positive."

Jennie smirked successfully. Whether Jisoo was joking or not, she had her word and will make sure to use it in the future. Because there will definitely happen to be a time where she needs it.

---

In order to be faster than Jisu, Yeji pressed the button for the elevator to come but after she waited for minutes, nothing happened.

By then Jisu passed her, using the stairs.

"See you on top!" Jisu stuck a tongue out and sprinted up with her tiny steps.

Not accepting defeat Yeji ran to the elevator next to this one and pushed her fingers against the button once more.

She smiled as people came out and stepped inside hastily.

Dumb bunny: Kim Jisoo

Dumb bunny: Could it be...

Dumb bunny: Did Jennie kill you!? :o

---

Jennie leaned her head on Jisoo's shoulder. She was kind of drained. How many hours has it been? She isn't sure anymore.

With a sigh Jennie nestled her head deeper.

She was on the edge with her nerves and that flickering light annoyed her to no end.

"Want a chocolate?" Jisoo asked before she pressed her fingers between Jennie's eyebrows to remove the crease. "Chocolate cheers me up."

Good thing Jisoo went grocery shopping before she was locked in.

Chocolate doesn't sound too bad.

Jennie nodded, thus Jisoo ripped a piece of the bar up and lifted it towards Jennie's plump lips.

She opened her mouth for the elder to place it inside. When she engulfed it her tongue brushed on Jisoo's fingers for but a split second.

"You act like a kitten." Jisoo said mesmerised. Her blush wasn't visible since it's too dark.

"Why? Because I'm cute?" Jennie deadpanned.

"That too." Jisoo agreed. "You are also sexy." She mumbled the last part quietly.

"What was that?" Jennie turned her head slightly, looking at the raven.

"I asked if you want some water." Jisoo pertained to the last bottle. It was already half empty.

"No, Not yet." Jennie declined. "Let's not waste it and only use it when we need it."

Jisoo nodded. She wasn't going to drink a sip, so Jennie can have more.

"Jisoo?"

The other hummed in response.

"I-It's getting...cold..." Jennie rubbed the length of her arm up and down.

The cool air on her skin gave her chills and turned her sweat pearls cold.

With both arms Jisoo pressed Jennie as close to her body as possible.

Warmer, but not warm enough.

She could still feel the younger shiver against her chest. Therefore she took her big sweater off.

"O-Oh no," Jennie immediately said between gritted teeth.

Underneath that sweater Jisoo was only wearing a crop top. Now she is going to freeze.

"Just take it." Jisoo didn't accept a 'no' and made her wear it.

Her hair was hanging adorably inside the collar of the sweater, so she pulled the brown strands out gently.

"You are going to be cold." Jennie frowned.

"I'm good." Jisoo said with a shake of her head. "Between the two of us your skin looks much more sensitive."

Jennie couldn't argue against that. It was nothing but the truth. To think that Jisoo noticed only by looking at her. Jennie gets hurt easily and is a naturally clumsy. Well, either that or she simply is unlucky. She injures her ankle every other week even by slight impacts like stumbling down.

She made her apartment childproof for Jisu's sake. However instead of protecting Jisu, it protects Jennie from severe injuries and yes stubbing her toe is a severe injury to her.

"Can I ask you something?" The elder held Jennie's hands and blew her hot breath on them.

Jennie nodded. "As long as it's nothing weird."

"You look a little too fancy for this place," Jisoo cleared her throat. "Judging by the fact that apparently even your toilet is worth more than my whole wardrobe." She chuckled. "Why settle for this place?"

Jennie stared blankly ahead.

"My old home reminded me too much of someone I wanted to get away from, which is why I moved somewhere I'm pretty convinced he will never step a foot into."

"Bad break up huh," It wasn't really hard to conclude. "The baby daddy?"

"The baby daddy." Jennie sighed. "He left first..." She croaked out and Jisoo felt bad for making her mood even worse. "Right after he found out that I was pregnant."

"Asshole." Jisoo cursed with a big frown, making Jennie giggle.

"What?" She questioned. Was it funny?

"I didn't think you could curse. I have only seen sunshine and nonsense leave your mouth." Jennie explained.

"I'm very much capable of cursing in five different languages." Jisoo grinned. "Plus I'm not all sunshine and rainbows. I can be a badass."

"Why five languages?" Jennie decided to ignore the last part because it sounded unbelievable. As if her friendly neighbour could act tough and ballsy.

"Let's just say I have many friends." Jisoo huffed a breath.

La La La~

Their eyes widened. A weird sound echoed through the small space.

Jisoo's eyes immediately landed on the source of the sound. The buttons were blinking again and the elevator music was playing.

Jennie jolted up and ran to push the buttons.

They didn't open the door.

"Maybe Nayeon got the electrician." Jisoo assumed. "Not long anymore... For real this time I guess."

"I hope you are right." Jennie smiled. "I can't wait to run out of the building and kiss the grass."

"You want to kiss the grass?" Jisoo cocked a brow. "How about we hug trees afterwards?"

"Hug trees? Why?" She asked softly.

"Because trees are the best!" Jisoo stated with determination. "They deserve some love for everything they do for us."

"...." She had nothing against trees, so why not. "Fine, we can hug trees too."

"Nice. It's a tree date." Jisoo muttered with smiling eyes.

"A-A what!?" Jennie's eyes widened. "D-Date??"

"A date between the nature and us." Jisoo clarified, leaving Jennie confused.

"Between the nature and us...? Are you asking me out? Like you and me on a double date with the trees, or us having separate dates with the--" She trailed off realising how stupid she sounded and glanced at the raven who had a teasing look written all over her annoying but flawless face.

She was playing with her.

"Maybe I should ditch you and hug the trees by myself." Jennie puffed up her cheeks angrily.

"Don't leave me out!" Jisoo whined. "I thought we had a date."

"No, we don't." Jennie shook her head, avoiding her irritating gaze. "That would be the most low profile and cheapest date I were to ever have."

"Low profile and all that but I can guarantee happiness and joy instead." Jisoo promised. "You can have high profile too, but later."

Is that her way of saying she is going to persuade her into having multiple dates with her? She is pretty for sure but Jennie already made up her mind not to do relationships anymore.
